I love how you show brands that you use, and tell the amounts as you go ... so easy to follow! I didn’t realize bloopers were at the end ... you were so funny. 😄 I also love how you say how certain foods are good for you.Its great when we are trying to be healthier.
I made this soup and your rolls they are AMAZING 😊 my family loves ginger and carrots my 3 year old daughter loves ginger and carrots she's obsessed and she loved helping me cook it. Love this healthy recipe thank you...
Hi Diana! It is only now i saw ur channel and i subscribe to it !! I love the way you said it particularly the "behind the scenes"! That is really awesome!! You forget your lines but that makes your channel perfect!! I wanna see you more of it because you are soo truE!! I love you💯✔❤😘🙏🙏
i made this only because i had extra carrots and didn't think i'd enjoy it as much as i did! a comfort dish for sure. i used cream instead of rice and also added garlic
My daughter is doing chemo and for about a week after a treatment it is hard to swallow because of thrush. I am going to make this for her and see if she can tolerate it. Any other time she will love it. TY.
I’m sure she will really enjoy this. I’m sorry your daughter is going through that. I️ hope this brings her a little comfort. The dinner rolls are wonderful I️ have on my channel, and go so beautifully with this soup. Very good to serve the rolls warm dipped into the soup. Take care
I made this soup and loved it. The rice was the perfect alternative to cream. I wonder if it’s possible to use rice the same way in a Potato and Leak soup recipe instead of cream.
Hi Ms. Diana. Thank you for sharing the recipe, I was looking for an easy one to make for dinner tonight. I'll let you know how it turns out for us. Love the bloops at the end.
@@dianasplace5397 it was wonderful, the grandkids loved it. I've actually made this twice since watching the video; my grandson asked if we could have it again soon with grilled cheese. The 2nd time I made it I needed to supplement the carrots so I added tomatoes and made it carrots, ginger and tomato soup and served it with grilled cheese. It was a success. Kudos to you. Thank you.
I love how you changed it up! I’ve added various spices like cumin, curry powder, even apples and sweet potatoes! It’s fun to use what you have on hand and purée it all together. Thanks for watching! I’ll have some new shows coming over the summer so please stay tuned! I love the comments and feedback.
First time viewer and the soup looks what I need today! You and I are built alike. Would you kindly share where to find your top? I have a hard time finding things that work with my figure. Thanks and God bless you for sharing your outtakes because they remind us that no one is perfect!
I watched your video till the end. I was enthralled. Thank You. I do not know how old it is. Its is lovely. Bloopers are hilarious!! Thank you for being down to earth! Appreciate it. Never thought about rice as a thickener. BRILLIANT! I have subscribed. Keep it up. Do u have a Patreon account? I just harvested all my carrots and potatoes and am wondering if it would freeze well? 20201027
The recipe is good but 40 minutes for a fast soup? Also you use rice for creamy texture but finishes the soup with sour creme. I am going to make this because it looks tasty. Thanks you and keep up the good work. 💖
I will definitely be trying this! Have you tried this with Veggie Stock instead of Chicken Stock? I can't imagine it would change it up too much. Thanks for the recipe Diana! :)
I have used both veggie and chicken stock and they work equally well. It's a wonderful soup and I'm sure you'll love it! Don't overdo the lemon juice though...you can always add more at the end depending on your taste. Enjoy!!
I think the difference is that this recipe is dealing with two root vegetables, because I was thinking the same thing. With protein and/or something like onions the chemical reaction with salt is much quicker.
for beans rice etc never add salt at first it makes them just harder but for vegie soup patatos etc and meatballs meatloaf etc add salt at first tahat combine more flavor...thats my experience and I cook since 12 for my family
Adding salt while cooking, melts in and flavors more. If you want to lower salt intake, put later to feel the salt but lesser amount required, and the same goes for delicate food where you want the first taste to be an ingredient, then the salt...called food flavor layering...an art to cooking. Brings out the senses of ingredients.
Sounds good, will try it today. Thank you for sharing. Your takes at the end made me chuckle.
Diana, you are a winner thank you for you presentation which was superb what a wonderful gift you have ,Sarah Falconer.
This is the easiest to follow and healthier version of this soup in the internet. Incredible results, superb texture and flavors.

The end is more tasty 😋 ❤️❤️😂
I thought this was a vegetarian soup? Does it taste as good using veg stock instead of chicken?
My favorite soup… I use my pressure cooker and it only needs to cook 4 minutes. Great soup for sick people also:)
how much calories in a serving? and whats the serving size?
It's Autumn here . It's soup time!! I have just bought a hand held blender . Thanks for this recipe vid . I can't wait to start !!!🥕🥕🥕
I can't wait to make this!!! Is there a modification you suggest if you have a juicer and not a immersion stick?
OMG -- and I love your outtakes! Thanks for being so real!! Subscribing now!
I loved your directions ❤. Only question if I don't have your hand blender what can I use? Do I put it in a blender?? Thank you
I've Bought an inexpensive hand blender from Tesco for only £6 and it is very well made too.!! I will be making this soup in a few days.

Must try this sometime, a job for my Bamix.
Wow your husband, if maried, is a lucky man....Trying this soup tonight...
or wife
What was the brand of chicken stock you used?

can I use vegetable stock, instead of chicken stock?
Yes ! Absolutely!
She needs to meet Dr. Eric Berg. This would be great with cabbage, kale and heavy whipping cream. :)
Ramsay Gordon says "Cook with the salt! Don't just add it at the end!" ... And you say, it's better to add salt at the end... Who should I believe? :(
I think the difference is that this recipe is dealing with two root vegetables, because I was thinking the same thing. With protein and/or something like onions the chemical reaction with salt is much quicker.
Definitely salt your food during cooking. There are videos of test kitchens that they explain why it's not a good idea to add salt at the end
for beans rice etc never add salt at first it makes them just harder but for vegie soup patatos etc and meatballs meatloaf etc add salt at first tahat combine more flavor...thats my experience and I cook since 12 for my family
