Wonderful performance of a beautiful song. I was OK until the lady behind her started playing the cello, that brought the feels and tears out for me.

I think Angelina was 14 when she wrote and recorded this video at the age of 14. She had just signed with Republic Records and this was the first song of Angelina they released.
I have 200 her videos, my profiles, anyone’s R. City one and a half years old. She’s my number one singer of all time regardless of age.

Angelina wrote this beautiful song in memory of her maternal grandfather who passed away in 2018. She said, "This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine."
"Seventh Heaven" is also written by her but is more upbeat, make you move kind of tune. You will love it guaranteed.
For most of her life she has lived in a multigenerational family which has brought about many different influences in her. Her maternal grandfather was the one mostly influenced her on charitable issues

When AJ was a little girl, her japanese Grandfather (second husband of Mery Zamany) with him into Oslo, where he helped the homeless community with food and sometimes jobs.
He was highly respected. The streets saw her growing up.
Today AJ honors him in her own way. At Christmas she was seen, bringing dinner to homeless people.
When her grandfather was in hospital, knowing, he would die, he told Angelina: I will watch you from the moon, see every thing you do. Stay true to yourself and you will never regret what you do.
In her social media, Angelina said, he was a true Gentleman. I believe that.

She told the story about the telephone ringing, her mom answers the phone listens, gets pale and feints, here Angelina explained about her beloved grandfather, being a real japanese gentleman, who took her into Oslo...etc.

@@ragnarkisten Thank God no, but she is VERY careful, as she told some info, she asked us not to spread. Sometimes even a angel need someone to stand by her and her family. We prayed for her grandma, when AJ asked us to do so. It seems it helped!!!
@@elmarwinkler6335 Good, the only trolling I see on a regular basis is the commenting of her eyes. It is like, are you here for the music or her eye-color? Some people might not be into her singing and express that honestly, which is fine I think. We all have different taste, and this is not trolling. But commenting on her looks in a negative fashion, especially by adults, is very low in my opinion.

A Million Years Ago.... Is one when she was 9yo.... It's so amazing and the lyrics are so emotional.
For me it is one of the most beautiful songs of recent years and the more you listen to it, like all masterpieces, the more it captivates you. If it didn't immediately become a worldwide success, but we are sure it will become so over time, it is so as not to expose too much given Angelina's young age.

She is absolutely an angel sent from heaven. To bring joy, love, and good things to this earth. I felt she was put here to do good things and make people feel better. I listen to her every day not a day goes by that I don’t play some of her music. Her voice is heavenly.

Absolutely amazing outstanding performance from Angelina, this is not Angelina’s first original but is her first original after signing with Republic Records age 14 years old, the pianist is 2 times Grammy winner Rob Christie the musical director of Republic Records, Angelina wrote Million Miles as a tribute to her Grandfather who passed away and to anyone who has lost a loved one, Angelina is so special and is absolutely amazing, beautiful heart felt song , great reaction thanks 🙏
The live concert version two years later has an even greater emotional impact as she sounds like she is on the verge of tears through the entire song and the two belted phrases are even more intense. She just keeps getting better.

Awesome that you chose to do a reaction to her studio recording as well (still early 14 here !!), where you can actually see her sing. "I'll be watching you from the moon, see everything you do" was actually something her grandfather said to her before he died. It must have felt really good for her to be able to implement those words in the lyrics so beautifully 🙂 Your reactions to Angelina have become among my favorites for sure. And there are SO many more for you to do as well. At this stage you may think you have a grip on her as an artist, but she will show you again and again (and again) that she surpasses anything you've been thinking. Just wait and see. All of her Angels have been there, and we still are. Angelina is just continuing on her journey, and we will ride with her. We are truly blessed to be able to experience this in our own time, first hand. She will definitely go down in the history books as one of the best to ever have done it 🙂

So touching this young lady has such respect for her parents and grands. Original done after losing her grandfather she was very close to. She obviously was experiencing deep heartfelt emotions as she thought of him and put it to song to share with others. I believe this is a similar process she uses when she hears a song that touches her. She internalizes the intended emotions and speaks life to the emotion that we hear. This song, like her, is such a gift to the world. Good reaction.

You should DEFINITELY react to this tribute Carlie! This is one of the first songs of Angelina’s that I listened to where her arrangement transforms the song into something TOTALLY different (it was done before she covered “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Billy Jean”).
Avicii’s original is like an anthem for iconoclasts who “March to the beat of a different drummer”. Angelina transformed Avicii’s own song into a lament for the loss of her dear friend. 😢💔❤️🩹
She's so amazingly talented but I love that her family is keeping her safe from all the dangers of the business and that she seems to really appreciate her family. Carly, When I hear Angelina singing her song I feel her pain, especially when she goes high toward the end of the song. To me it’s Angelina wailing because the pain and angst of losing her grandfather hurts so much. This is a fourteen year old young lady whom, in my opinion, was divinely blessed, talented and gifted with a genius level musical intellect.
Angelina isn’t just an extraordinarily gifted singer. She is a multifaceted musician, singer and song writer and all around creative talent. She stands above the din and alone amongst a sea of talented young female singers. She is most certainly unique and a very special human being. I think her voice has healing properties because I always feel much better after hearing this blessed angel sing.
I fell blessed to have been alive to witness supreme greatness shining through Angelina’ vocal chords.

Sweet reaction Shea. Angelina's songs or even vocals will be hard to replicate because of the level of difficulty and uniqueness in which she sings. There has been several attempts and they were no where close. Angelina has been perfecting her delivery but the characteristics of her vocals can only be claimed by her for she is the inventor.

You said you saw the official video probably with her featured in it, but did you also go back and see the original release which was a lyric video with beautiful Graphics which were the style of her grandmother's art and it tells a lot of the story, visually... and it has that ethereal synth-Vibe, too, as well. In many ways, that is my favorite version, but probably because it was my first reaction version
Live Concert one is much better IMHO. Of the versions released 2 years ago i actually like the video over the studio version, but it m probably in the minority. Almost all agree she took to another level at her July 2022 concerts.

Listen, if you havent yet, to the live performance of this song she did in Kongsberg ( july 7th 2022. I was there). She's great in studio recordings. Right? Well, let me tell you. She's way better live. She doesn't need autotune, reverbs or any other technical computer gimmics. Just give her a mike and a guitar, piano accompainiment, even a cappella. It doesn't matter. She could sing the phone book playing your doorbell.

A lot of singers today sing great but the instrument's and other stuff like dancer's and light's and other stuff over shadows the singer and the voice of the song. But with her it's mainly her voice with the perfect amount of instruments. I pray she does not go the way of most singers I pray she stays the way she is now and don't get influenced by other singers or companies.

Hi Carlie! I love your reaction and comments to Angelina, and btw you sound great with the new mike. I've watched and listened to this countless times, so I start looking at other things in the video and two things stand out. The first is the cello playing behind her. The cello to me is in perfect tune with the human voice, and here the sound adds to the angst and sadness in her tone. The second thing is the backlighting that makes her hair glow in so many of the shots. Done very purposely and beautifully I think, almost like a halo at times. And finally, you mentioned the moon in her lyrics. I've noticed that the moon is present somewhere in many of her videos, especially since she has done so many takes at different ages on "Fly Me to the Moon."
