  • Pacific Northwest Ballet brought to life a new redesign of George Balanchine's Coppélia back in 2010, with the help of acclaimed scenic and costume designer, Roberta di Bagno.
With the majority of the sets and costumes being made here in Seattle, here's a throwback to the creation of the Act I that takes place in a quaint town with lush wisteria hanging from the rafters.
"Because the story is so charming, di Bagno said, “I set it in a special place, a porcelain world.” She smiled at a drawing of Swanhilda’s teacup-shaped house, all blue-and-white with hanging flowers. “I think you will want to live there,” she said."
