I'm watching cross legged and my quadriceps muscles are already hurting, what about if I just thought about trying to spin 😂! I'd need physiotherapy and rehabilitation for months 🤣!
@@JacquelineStrawberrykeep yeah 😂 they're doing it so gracefully as if it's so easy and not that they have already trained and practised several days in advance 🤣 kudos to them!
What I noticed, and really liked, is the diversity in skin color and body types. And showing normal eating and casual talking about food. And no screaming/hostility in the rehearsals. I get that people can act differently in front of a camera and sure there is a lot we don't get to see, but everybody seemed relaxed and natural and talking freely, and I don't believe you can fake that for so long, especially with the younger dancers and children. And although I know how hard and stressful ballet can be, this looks like a healthy environment to me.
@@LivingWaterSpanishLittleHouseWhat on earth is rude on likeing diversity??? Ballet is notoriously known for being "white washed" and promoting an unsustainable body image and unhealthy eating habits. In other words, there is a prevalent image of ballet being only for small, skinny, white girls. And even some more rude stereotypes for boys. Which I find terrible. So I am really glad to see a school/company where there are not only white or paper-thin students. And I don't see what should be rude about that.
There was absolutely NOTHING rude about what you said. I completely understood. My kiddo is mixed and it didn’t bother me one bit. it’s crazy to me that a simple COMPLIMENT about diversity can get turned into something SO…..cruel really. Sorry I couldn’t find a word for it. Some people will always scream racism where there is now. But thank you for your comment I completely agree with all of it.
The chaos of this video 😭😭😭 “Terrible! Look at this!” “SMELL. THE WINE.” Just Parker everything “Is slawek cosplaying you?” Cue slawomir’s evil glare *michal flexing and admiring his arms* “How about,” sassy voice “in the center?”
I think it's great that beneath all the rigor and hard work, they still maintain a nurturing atmosphere and allow the playfulness that is needed to turn ballett from a sport into an art form. That's what allows the dancers to reach their potential.
And to allow children to be childlike, playful, and goofy. BUT… They obviously make the kids be serious long enough to learn ballet with the best of them! I swear to God, the school is one of the best in the country! How do you do it Slovomir and Irena?
One thing I like about this is that the teacher is strict, but outside rehearsals and classes, he's approachable when you're close enough. He's someone you can vibe with as long as you treat him with respect
Oh my goodness Eva, this vlog is everything. Literally made me feel like I was there, I really want to be a ballerina but I can't but this video made me feel like I was at the rehearsals myself. More vlogs please
The amount and complexity of the choreography involved in this is impressive. And all the different age groups working in tandem to form a cohesive unit is just as mind boggling. That and seeing such little children so disciplined and well trained in the art as well.
Slawomir stopping the music mid dance and saying "What's going on?" is giving me flashbacks to Christmas dance show rehearsals, you know you're in trouble when the teacher does that
I absolutely love videos like these that breaks all the stereotype and preconceived ideas about ballet! It also makes me want to go to actual ballet classes but there aren't any where I live so I learn online
what a chaotic mess... in the best way. Being a ballet instructor, keeping everyone motivated and overseeing everything all at once must be incredibly challenging. Big respect to the dancers and the coaches. It's a joy to watch and it must be a great feeling participating. I wish I could see a show live once!
It’s so lovely to see this kind of vlogs🥰 yall are like a huge warming family gathered for the celebration of Christmas, and the rehearsals seemed so much fun! so happy watching it
I remember when my daughter was young she danced in Nutcracker with Fokine Ballet and I was stage manager Slawomir Wozniak was the Prince and Kat Wildish was Sugar Plum. They were wonderful! He came to NJ many times to do that role. What a treat to see him pass the torch to another generation.
Everything is just so chaotic and organised at the same time 😂 There's just too much going on, but one thing is for sure: this ballet school looks really funny! Eva, you have to keep up with these vlogs. I think I'm not the only one who had a great time watching it :)
I would love to see the audition process and casting results for a show like this. Everyone does amazing every year. It’s so impressive to see how many different roles people play each year!
i love the little smirks from the soldiers!!! my daughter was a soldier this year in our production and had the hardest time staying in character as serious or scared because she was having so much fun watching all the chaos of the Battle Scene unfolding around her
Our little community Nutcracker I'm in every year was last weekend and I didn't do much in it this year because I'm pregnant, so I'm absolutely thriving off of the extra rehearsal chaos energy ❤ These dancers are amazing!
This reminds me so much of show days … I used to do roller skating like starlight express but with other musicals like the lion king, beauty and beast, Tarzan and show days and rehearsals were just like that. Maybe a little more screaming but the chaos and the overall vibe it’s… so nostalgic and beautiful
Interesting video about the reality of a ballet lesson. You are radiant: that’s a pleasure. Thank you for all of your work, for taking risks by exposing yourself. Sincere compliments on your incredible progress in the “relentless” world of ballet. All the best to you for the rest of your artistic work. Thank you very much for sharing
I get it. "Nutcracker" is the bread and butter of all ballet companies everywhere, and mostly it's THE ONLY ballet most people have ever seen. As a classical harpist, I've played that damn thing one too many times....BUT...this looked like a really good show, even just the fragments of the rehearsal. Really really good. These dancers rock
I love watching these videos bc from what the videos show the studio is a very tight nit almost like family and it’s just great Ik everyone will do great
It surprises me to here so much negativity when asked how they are feeling. It all looks so beautiful and exciting! It looks like so much fun! The Nutcracker ballet has always been one of my favorite holiday traditions. Merry Christmas 🎄 beautiful people!
I was literally obsessed with you guys as soon as I found you. Ballet classes are my dream but I live in NJ so there is not many places to go to that aren’t expensive. I am hoping maybe one day my parents as a birthday gift or Christmas gift would get me lessons for ballet.
Eva: “how are we feeling today?”
Slawomir, the dramaiest of drama queens: “terrible! Look at this!” *points at chaos*

the fact ballerinas spin like 100mph and that’s a normal day… if I attempted that I’d easily break a hip.
