In one of your vids you weren't in such good form due to the fact you think you're videos are probably getting stale or boring, but I'd have to disagree because they are full of character and great content,,,,just remember it's yer unique style that all of ye when come to watch, you ,liv ,farther phil mother phil ,sis ,bro and don't forget Bertie ,,,so fair dues and hope 2025 is as successful for ye
I was part of a crew cutting the dead ash trees back off the irish country roads.. The council no longer will do it, its now down to the land owner, if you own land and one of your trees falls on a road and god forbid causes an accident or death then your liable for the damages.. The ammount of abuse I got on the roads last year was unreal, practically everybody thinks im out there cutting down trees on the roadside just to annoy everybody, or that im a shrewd buisness man who wants to destroy nature... The reality of it is, Im trying to prevent you getting a phonecall from the guards that theres been a serious accident involving one of your loved ones.. If you see us or any crew on the road, holding you up for a few minutes, please think about that before you roll down the window shouting at us..
Great seeing the whole family working together. You all are hard workers. The wood processing machine was very cool but seemed like Mama did just as much or more. Farmer Phil always enjoy watching your videos. Hope the family stays safe.👍👍
Many hands make light work lovely to see all they family out together shoulder to the wheel.. gas the way some people give out about dirty windows haha..sign of work been done
Definitely a family affair. Great to see Mother Phil out and about. Even if you had all the PPE and safety measures in place some people would still not be happy. Happy New Year to all the Farmer Phil family 🎉
Leaving ye a comment Phil to help with the algorithm more than anything. You've won my dad around a bit on the stick processor but he still prefers our homemade chopper 😅
We were messing around with ours (something similar to Phils) over the weekend! Some machines. Yee have to be careful what width branches ya throw in though. Complete snapped the shearing bolt on the one we were using.
Hon da whole clan boy up the field splitting timber . Hon da boy Derek , if he is careful with that saw what business is it of anyone’s. Great Video Phil one of the best yet . As long as you are farming Phil you will have good content . 👏🏼🔥 Let that timber season now for a few years before burning 🔥
The old lad and myself are of the same vintage and we have been working chainsaws for years, I don’t much bother with the ppe either, awkward and uncomfortable but probably should be wearing it however it does make you feel a bit invincible so you are probably better off not bothering and paying attention to what you are doing because it won’t prevent you from getting seriously hurt if you do something stupid. Have a couple of days cleaning up bits of fallen timber ourselves but we will not have as big a crew for the job and definitely won’t have that handy chopper elevator either.
My road was planted with ash trees in the 1920/30's, beautiful to drive down until 15 yrs ago. Now it's all dead from the ash bore and the majority cut down, it's depressing knowing what it used to look like.
I wear all the gear when cutting firewood for my employer. Father phill dosent have to as no employees are present. He is probably already a bit deaf or he has earplugs. His experience has fought him the safety squint for protecting his eyes. The only thing he could add is a pair of saw proof trousers with braces leaves them comfortable to wear.
Hi farmer Phil that was a great job with your trees cutting them on the land and keep up the good work with it all Happy New year to you and all your family for 2025 and what is the name of the green jacket you do have on you in the video farmer Phil 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Lots of predictions are that we will lose more than 90% of our Ash trees across the country. It's desperate, but hopefully if we can continue planting resistant saplings and other species, we can mitigate it a small bit atleast. It makes beautiful timber for the range anyway.
How do you get the videos within the cabin? They are do cool! Would love to do something similar. Was messing around with the branch chopper we have over the weekend too! Was great weather. Chilling but dry
when do you start getting the kids calves in and what breed are you getting hopefully not Belgium blues hopefully you will get some Angus and Herefords you put some great videos up
Good video phil and Liv. Its got vibes of the potato videos with the whole crew at the job. Ye could do with a crate under the peocessor to catch the kindling it separates for you
Health and Safety will be all over Father Phil, you really threw him under the bus on this one. Nobody would have taken any notice if you had kept it zipped
Firstly hats off to mammy stewart.what a woman.she done some amount of splitting.well father phil should no better but we cant give out to him either.great job to have the extra help on a job like that.u could give it to eamonn ryan for a new years present 😮😂
Phil, the limb most likely failed due to a tight union rather than ADB. The core of decay in the upper limbs might well be ADB though. Nice bit of burning though.
Storm damage Phil and Ash die back that would have been in them trees for year's, with the Ivy on them, and it's quite possibly that it's attacking a lot of other Ash trees as well, I'm not sure about it coming into the Country through young saplings, I nearly sure it will carry in the air as Ash die back is a fungus
A man said friesian bullocks ate a lot took a lot to fatten under 24months and dairy Angus and Herefords were poorer shapes and short sizes for factory
Sorry did mean to hit the dislike button big 👍 hope didn't mess up your RUclips thing I can't spell 🤣 pass no head on the haters nothing better to be at with their lives. Love the channel
Well the cold wont be the cause of yer demise this winter wirh that amount of timber to burn. Fr. Phil must think his eyes are solid steel because otherwise he would at least wear eye protection. Tell him that there is a massive backlog in waiting time for Guide Dog's at the the moment. Loved that vid & Keep 'er Lit.
I’m a tree surgeon and to me that looks very healthy it depends on what the actual tree looks like as in if the main stem of the tree has a lot of small growth all up the stem that is signs of ash die back if that makes sense and the dark bit on the outside of the tree is most likely a weak union as it’s called which is why it would’ve split out if it doesn’t make sense I can probs explain it in a more simple way
In one of your vids you weren't in such good form due to the fact you think you're videos are probably getting stale or boring, but I'd have to disagree because they are full of character and great content,,,,just remember it's yer unique style that all of ye when come to watch, you ,liv ,farther phil mother phil ,sis ,bro and don't forget Bertie ,,,so fair dues and hope 2025 is as successful for ye

Well done to all many hands make light work. Won't be cold preparing our when putting it in 🔥🪵 to keep warm.
Leaving ye a comment Phil to help with the algorithm more than anything. You've won my dad around a bit on the stick processor but he still prefers our homemade chopper 😅
That processor is some machine, I couldn’t believe how fast it was getting through those sticks
We were messing around with ours (something similar to Phils) over the weekend! Some machines. Yee have to be careful what width branches ya throw in though. Complete snapped the shearing bolt on the one we were using.
That chopper is a mighty yoke, mother Phil is loving the splitter, great to see bro and Jess in the field work.
Love this kind of video farmer Phil. Looked like mother Phil was doing a wee Irish jig on Timelapse 😂
What a family Jesus lad great work mother Phil doing a mighty job then go home and cook the dinner unreal 👏👏
Hon da whole clan boy up the field splitting timber . Hon da boy Derek , if he is careful with that saw what business is it of anyone’s. Great Video Phil one of the best yet . Such a great video. Really enjoyed it
Good stuff and plenty of help is great to have
Timber work is very satisfying unless theirs ivy stuck on it, takes the joy out of it then.
Good video can we see more some handy machine alot of work saved. Many hands
That very good set up
The old lad and myself are of the same vintage and we have been working chainsaws for years, I don’t much bother with the ppe either, awkward and uncomfortable but probably should be wearing it however it does make you feel a bit invincible so you are probably better off not bothering and paying attention to what you are doing because it won’t prevent you from getting seriously hurt if you do something stupid. Lookin good..home grown double heat.the best kind..b safe
A great machine for chopping better timber
If people is giving out about dirty windscreen or not wearing ppe on their own land, they shud mind their own business
Exactly. Jobsworths everywhere
Crack on paddy
Old school is the way to much pussy wimps about my grandad hit me with a shovel when I didn't bo my told
That's exactly why there are so many accidents on farms, and 0:03 what makes them the highest fatality and accident places of work.
She's some machine.
Cutting and splitting ash firewood while it is fresh is easier because if it is too dry, it can be hard on chainsaw chains so you had the right idea.
Let's get that algorithm going
Good video
Great work
My road was planted with ash trees in the 1920/30's, beautiful to drive down until 15 yrs ago. Now it's all dead from the ash bore and the majority cut down, it's depressing knowing what it used to look like.
Safe new year.
Father Phil wasn't letting go of that chainsaw😄

Keep her lit
Great family video Phil, It's nice to see everyone.
Now thats team work..
Nice to see all of your family Phil helping
Wood it warms you twice unlike air to water systems that only works in warm sunny weather
Old saying. They who cut their own firewood warm themselves more than once !!
Hi farmer Phil that was a great job with your trees cutting them on the land and keep up the good work with it all Happy New year to you and all your family for 2025 and what is the name of the green jacket you do have on you in the video farmer Phil 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
That will keep a few arses warm for a few weeks 😂
your ash dieback autopsy is spot on
that's what you call a family looking after the heat 😊
Lots of predictions are that we will lose more than 90% of our Ash trees across the country. It's desperate, but hopefully if we can continue planting resistant saplings and other species, we can mitigate it a small bit atleast.
It makes beautiful timber for the range anyway.
My father says the same happened Elm trees back 40 years ago. I think it’s all part of the natural cycle unfortunately. They will grow again no doubt.
I could be wrong but I think the Dutch elm disease and the ash die back were brought in on trees imported to Ireland...... unfortunately
Best snow foam to get kenotek 4100 contactless wash
How do you get the videos within the cabin? They are do cool! Would love to do something similar. Was messing around with the branch chopper we have over the weekend too! Was great weather. Chilling but dry
Bees collect a great crop of honey in September off ivy ,
Great Job Philip
Not a bad chop keeps fires burning
Brilliant video from the family
Busy family

Great family effort, well done, definitely ash die back.
Good video phil and Liv. Its got vibes of the potato videos with the whole crew at the job. Ye could do with a crate under the peocessor to catch the kindling it separates for you
Great video today Morher Phil and Father Phil did all the work 😂
Well lad What kind of HP to run the processor
Health and Safety will be all over Father Phil, you really threw him under the bus on this one. Nobody would have taken any notice if you had kept it zipped

With the experience that man has, he was cutting timber long before ppe was a thing. Lol
Forget the Ash, who’s smashed the mirror on the Telehandler!!! I bet Lib was fuming.😡 😂👍
What a team
People who worry about ppe are usually the type that wear two johnnys!! Just to be sure to be sure!
Phil, the limb most likely failed due to a tight union rather than ADB. The core of decay in the upper limbs might well be ADB though. Nice bit of burning though.
Yes phill that tree has ash dieback
Not a pair of ear defenders anywhere
Here in the US we basically have no more ash trees. They all died and fell down because of the emerald Ashbourne bug killed them all back.
Your mom is cutting slices of cake
Ash die back has hit all our ash the black goes a third of the way through the trunk
Good family fun
PPE and common sense = FP is not dumb and not his first rodeo
Storm damage Phil and Ash die back that would have been in them trees for year's, with the Ivy on them, and it's quite possibly that it's attacking a lot of other Ash trees as well, I'm not sure about it coming into the Country through young saplings, I nearly sure it will carry in the air as Ash die back is a fungus
Looks like ash dieback
Better than the peat Phil😂
Fantastic video good to see the family involved great owl father phill is old school ya mum rattled on to
A man said friesian bullocks ate a lot took a lot to fatten under 24months and dairy Angus and Herefords were poorer shapes and short sizes for factory
Sorry did mean to hit the dislike button big 👍 hope didn't mess up your RUclips thing I can't spell 🤣 pass no head on the haters nothing better to be at with their lives. Love the channel
That ivy kills more trees that anything
Great video

🤣
Think little bro needs to work a little harder and stay away from the kitchen table … 😂
A lot easier than going to the bog
Turf burns longer than timber and takes less time to dry for burning 🔥
Great machine Phil, and yes what can I say about father Phil, he should know better, there's no thinking what a chainsaw can do to a human. 😥😥
One machine I dread using,
#SawChain 👍
Well done Phil, keepitlit 🪵🪵🪵🔥🔥🔥
Evening!
I’m a tree surgeon and to me that looks very healthy it depends on what the actual tree looks like as in if the main stem of the tree has a lot of small growth all up the stem that is signs of ash die back if that makes sense and the dark bit on the outside of the tree is most likely a weak union as it’s called which is why it would’ve split out if it doesn’t make sense I can probs explain it in a more simple way
The trees will normally die from the outside in and the growth on the main stem is stress growth also known as epercormic growth
The old dog and new tricks!!! Try to convince him just to wear a helmet with face shield.
Ash die back is everywhere unfortunately
If nothing else wear a chainsaw helmet and toecap boots, very easy to get a kickback.
He thrives of the risk of a slap of a broken chain across the forehead .
Father Phil is deaf so no need for ear muffs
