This was such a lovely respite from all the crazy of the world. The garden tour was so relaxing, the music and beautiful blue skys with billowy white clouds was a mini vacation for my soul. Thank you
I swear, your varied videos are a form of good mental health meditation for me! Thank you so much for your creative hard work and pleasant audio! Best wishes for a very fast and successful recovery for your darling Willow!
I love the New England tours! I haven't been there since I was a little girl and I am now 60! The cow run was very interesting and beautiful to me. Thank you!
You can see the work you have done to all of the bushes with your new tool. Ben is such a thoughtful husband to order things for you. The garden tour is beautiful. Poor Willow., hope she will be better soon. Love the new barn drawings.
My hubby bought me the trimmer, weed wacker and blower for Mothers Day a few years back and this year I got the small hand chain saw. Let me tell you, my hubby had a happy wife!!!🥰
I just found this channel 5 days ago, and I've been binge watching ever since. I love all the posts. I love the way you plan and decorate. I'm hooked! Thank you so much. 💓
I can certainly understand how you would be finding all your gardens overwhelming! I would too! Everything at Sugarwood is mature and at maximum growth in the middle of the summer! You can only do so much this season, especially following your earlier shoulder surgery, so give yourself permission to just prioritize a few areas to work on. There is always next year and a season at a time. Such a beautiful garden tour and I loved the wonderful music you chose. Thanks for another great video. Really enjoyed it all. :) ~Mavis~
Lovely video! You are a woman after my own heart….trimming bushes in a dress! I have been known to dig out our compost bin wearing a dress! 😅 That garden was beautiful. Thanks for sharing your work in progress and not just the perfect finished projects. It gives me encouragement to keep going and not get discouraged.
Miss Linda! Loved you content!! You certainly do have a lot of projects ahead, but how exciting! Thanks for taking us along. I really don't see how you, and your Ben, do it all without help. I will keep y'all in my prayers that the Lord will send just the right folks to help you, with all there is to do, and be a blessing to you. Can't wait to see more. Will be praying for Willow too! ❤
The plans for the barn is absolutely wonderful; however, if your husband is planning on having his office there and perhaps a man cave he will definitely want at least a "powder room". Who want to walk back to the main house to use the facility.
We agree, we are just waiting to see what we are taking on for the barn build alone since it would involve adding another small self contained septic tank or tapping in to our current septic system.
Linda...just let him pee outside if no one can see lol then if he needs to do "paper work " he can just come in the house. my son lives out in the country and if working and has to pee he just goes in the woods. It's a man thing also. That would save some money too. 😉
I agree. We built a garage with a music studio above it for my husband. We did not put in a bathroom because I thought if we did that and had a huge fight. He could live out there or maybe an relative would want to move in. So we declined the plumbing and I regret that decisions very very much.
I would have a bathroom in that barn. Can you imagine every time you need to use the facilities having to run to the house. But it’s going to be beautiful when/if you complete it 💕. Love all the items for your store. The gardens you showed at me he end are stunning. ~ Janet 😘
Hope Willow will be feeling better soon love your new barn .And that basket is a treasure can’t wait for your new store .Have a great week 😊What a wonderful tour of this beautiful home and garden absolutely wonderful thank you .
The garden tour was lovely. I would enjoy seeing it in other seasons. I was so inspired after watching, I finished my morning coffee and headed for the garden. Like you, I am having difficulty finding knowledgeable landscapers for my garden. So many advertise yet the workers they send have little knowledge of gardening and little to no onsite supervision. The are more adapt at lawn mowing.
My heart is breaking for Willow, and I’m hoping she will make a full recovery sooner rather than later!! Thank you for sharing all your garden planning and what you’re currently working on. The barn looks like it’d be really functional, and I hope the cost will not put you in too much shock! lol I loved seeing all the inventory you’re collecting for your shop space, and it’s making me wish so badly that I wasn’t across the country from you. The gardens at the end were marvelous! There was something for every interest from woodland to vegetables. Please keep sharing-I love it all, and give Willow a gentle hug and kiss!
I can’t tell you enough how much I love and so enjoy your videos! Your videos are Never boring, they are filled with interesting and inspiring information and updates on your beautiful home. Thank you for all you do for your kindred spirits. I know you work hard creating each video 😊
Love the plans for the new barn. I vote in favor of a restroom....too far to go to the house. And yes, you need your own garden shed to call your very own. Loved the tour of your gardens-beautiful. Enjoyed the garden tour and the extended area. I do love New England stone walls and wish I had some.
Such a shame about the broccoli. Poor Willow, I'm so sorry she's not in the pink. You have done an amazing job in a short period of time. Thank you for the inspiration you provide. ❤
You have so much on your plate ,honestly I am in awe of your ambitions . It’s obvious that you thrive when projects are needed . Just don’t forget to take some time for yourself !
Greetings, Linda. The Dublin garden was wonderful and impeccable. I am sure the evolution was years/decades in the making. I hope you find the assistance you seek in re-making/tending to your Sugarwood garden. Reconfiguring the Sugarwood garden and grounds will be a monumental task. I understand that you and Ben have a unicorn barn in mind, but if his office is in the new barn, what will happen during severe winter seasons when the trek through the snow from the residence to the barn will be arduous? If the barn is built solely as a barn and Ben's MAN CAVE/OFFICE is added onto the current garage, his work space will be closer to the residence and harsh winter's won't get in the way. Even constructing the NEW UNICORN BARN behind the current garage would make the proximity and access better. Just my thoughts. Prayers for a quick recovery for your little girl, Ms. Willow.
Hi, we decided not to put it behind the garage due to the fact we would have to move and replace our propane tank and wiring. Regarding the weather, he can always choose to work from his laptop in the house, but he does snowblower paths around the back yard for Willow anyway, so he does not see that as a burden (as of now). ;-)
I.love the plans for your barn but it's cute enough to be a guest cottage. Your videos are so very interesting, heart warming.....taking us back to simpler, more pleasant times in our lives. Cudos.
Linda you are making good progress in your garden....your property is just beautiful. Love all the things you are placing in your shop. I hope you will do a tour of your space before you open to the public. I always get good ideas from your channel!
The thing is I have NO doubt you create a garden equally as beautiful. It takes decades to develop a garden like the one your toured I believe and it is gorgeous!
I hope Willow is feeling better. Your video was splendid. The new barn will be so beautiful and moving your garden to the stone paver area would look great.
I always look forward to and enjoy watching your videos ~ i'm loving your new power tool!!! Very excited about the new barn plans and your plans for the red barn too. Ohhh my... i am in LOVE with the basket & trolley it would be perfect for my small quilt display ~ i'm hoping you will ship to Aust??? just maybe???😘🙏 Sending gentle hugs for Willow's speedy recovery ❤
Oh gosh. This isn't a garden tour, it's an arboretum! Linda, your garden is next in the garden tour listing! Maybe next year? Just lovely. Lots of work but so satisfying. Hope you can get some help. Hope poor Willow heals soon. I so love seeing her enjoying the garden too. Enjoy the rest of the summer.
Sorry to hear poor Willow is poorly Linda..🙁.. hope she gets better soon. Be careful yourself!.. It seems you work very hard & getting to overwhelmed may lead to some anxiety, I have a large garden & I worry (I’m 69 this year 😱) about keeping up to date with it!… get some help if you can..🥰..Great video.
Hello Linda, my old house the yard would be over growing. The more heat the more rain the more it would grow. I know how you feel. The garden you took us to were so pretty. I hope and pray Willow will recover soon. This is when you wish your pets could speak. A huge for Willow
I am sorry to hear about Willow. I hope she is feeling better. It was fun seeing your plans maybe for a new barn and what you would move in your garden. The garden tour youwent on and took us along was beautiful and so serene. The clear outside room was awesome and I thought that giant outstretched frog was adorable. Thank you.
Oh that was a fabulous video Linda. I admit I got a little nervous watching you wave that trimmer around. You definitely need that though for the many shrubs and bushes to clean up. I can’t wait for your shop to open and see how you decorate your space. Keep having fun😍
Isn't it funny how we change over the years? I am in need of a new trimmer also and have been "shopping". It will make things so much easier! Last week I got excited with my new windshield wipers! Hahaha! Thanks for taking us on the garden tours with you. One is as beautiful as the next with lots of inspiration. I look forward to following along with all your projects for Sugarwood!
Hello, Linda - I just love all of your videos and I am so glad I found your channel! So you mentioned in one of your videos (not sure which one), that you believe that if a person has a feeling that they should live in one of the New England states...even if that person has never been to NE before...well, there's a reason a person is feeling that way - and they probably should be living there. That really stuck with me. I've always longed to live in New Hampshire - I tried to move there with my husband when I was married - but that never transpired. The obstacle I face firstly is I do not have family/friends in NE -- and being a divorced woman in my early 60s...I'm not sure how I would even begin - therefore, if you can offer advice - (neighborhoods for me to start looking at, et cetera), I would so appreciate it - meanwhile, I will continue to watch your channel and enjoy the vicarious way of living in NE for now - :-) :-) :-)
I have watched many of your videos and all are well put-together, but this is by far one of your best. I enjoy your showing so many different aspects of your life: new store, husband's possible barn/office, tour of a massive estate. Your life is very active and you accomplish so much each video. Thank you for taking the time to let us "in" on it all. Very grateful, Viewer.
Linda, I love the music you often play as a background for your videos - beautiful, atmospheric, peaceful. Have you thought of collecting your music, maybe separated by type or theme, and putting together a series of CDs to sell in your shop? One of my favorite emporiums in WNY does this. I don't know how copyrights work for this, though, if you combine pieces by different musicians.
A tip for trimming for an easy and quick clean up, is to use drop cloths below the shrubs.Once you're finished just gather up the corner's of the cloths(l use old sheets) the trimmings kept inside the sheet and can be easily disposed of. 😊🍁
You are doing so much hard work, Linda. It will be great to have a barn. Love the tour. I should do the flags flapping idea. The deer eat all my flowers and have been nipping on our tomato plants😩
Prayers for your pouch Willow. I had bought the tall brown cage covers you used in past show months ago to protect my new Hosta plants from deer. Well, one is the many miles around my property ate the whole plant from the bottom. All that is left is a small hole. How sad. I planted, watered and fed the plants and now one of the 3 is gone. Maybe I should move the other 2 but I have moles here and there. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ The plans for your red barn look awesome. I may need a trimmer like that for my azaleas. Take care. From Chesapeake Beach Maryland.
Greetings Linda, I am so sad for beautiful Willow, I am praying and sending her my healing thoughts for a quick recovery 🙏. I love jewelry and some power tools but alot intimidate me. I love how how cute you look gardening in your pretty dress 😆The new barn plans sound amazing. Now you know how jealous I get about your beautiful plants. I sure hope you reconsider shipping some small things like under a pound, if possible. Enjoyed the video and how thoughtful is your husband? 😊
Love to see you “ show off “ your new tools. I love the view of Mount Monadnock. I can see it from my brother’s house, and it makes me happy. Happy for you that you were able to cut down those huge bushes . I can’t believe how huge they got !!! The barn plans look fabulous. Sorry to hear about Willow, hope she feels better soon 😢 This was such a beautiful and relaxing video thank you for posting .
You might want to get rid of tha Barberry Bush. They apparently attract ticks that carry Lyme disease and some species of the plant are invasive. The barn sounds fabulous. The painting and print are lovely!
I was toying with the idea since I don't like thorns... ticks even more. I just want to make sure I have something to replace it (them... I have two large ones in the back yard).
Yes I have thank you! I have yet to look for a couple for the yard though. I saw someone made their own with old whiskey barrels vs the new ones and I liked that idea.
Positive thoughts for Willow. May I suggest that you approach the vibernum in a different manner. Referencing Linda Vater, all the vibernum to grow tall, and groom everything below a main canopy, this will open the view from your window and it will be less maintenance. Also, you will be able to plant some other things beneath the shrubs.
Loved seeing the plans for your barn. What a beautiful addition to the property it will be. Liked your new veg garden ideas. I can understand you being overwhelmed with all the work still to do on the flower beds. What a lovely garden tour too! Great video- thanks for sharing!
Growing up we had a snowball viburnum that my father used to selectively trim taller but with lower branches cut. It was trimmed to look like a crape myrtle. Some people do this with rhododendrons. It’s very pretty. Love your videos! 🌸🌿
Linda, you have already accomplished so much! The new goals sound delightful. You are always working on so many things, simultaneously. You appear to thrive in that type of workfield.👏🤗👏 Hoping, and praying dear Willow will make steady progress. 🙏🏼🌲🌺🌻
Thank you, Linda! I adore the garden tours, no matter at your own place or someone else’s place. I love to look, dream, and gawk ..😜. I’m like you, with the garden envy. I want my place to look like a dream, but it will take years and such hard work, that maybe will never come to fruition, but I still hope and dream every day. Thanks for all you do for us!
Very exciting and have a barn shed and love it but just running power to it is so expensive so I can imagine the cost you’re going to have to build that luxury barn. But we only have one life to live and if DH wants his office, make it happen😌
Loved the video Linda and the music too. The gardens were so very pretty. I hope the barn comes to fruition in due time 😊. Also, I pray that Willow is doing better 🐾❤️.
Hi Linda, wow another great video! First....I hope Willow feels better! She is so sweet!!! I love the plans for the new barn! Your property is beautiful, and I so enjoyed visiting another garden. I just love the setting of your home and I can see it is shaping up beautifully!! Have a great day and I will see you in the next one!! :)
Your new barn is beautiful. I hope it works out for you be able to build it. You certainly have a lot of yard work to keep you very busy. I can hardly keep up with things this time of year. I need to do a lot of trimming on shrubs and tree’s also . I don’t have a vegetable garden but several flower beds . I also insist on doing all the mowing and trimming myself. You have several beautiful things to sell in the store. Wish I lived closer so that I could shop there. Always enjoy your little garden tours. Have a great day.
Exciting plans ahead! So happy to hear that you will be shipping from your shop in the future! Beautiful video of your garden and also the Dublin garden tour. Please give Willow gentle hugs from me. I hope she is well again soon.
Linda, I so feel being overwhelmed. I turned to Angie's list once and within the hour I had multiple landscapers reaching out to me. Is that something you can consider? Either way, you are doing beautifully 😊
That laundry basket/cart is unique. Its a keeper. Try checking out pre engineered pre cut post and beam barns....I know Country Carpenters in Hebron, CT has many plans and ships to upper New England. I've toured one of its homes...solid construction.
Linda, In our area we grow Chinese Viburnum as a tree. Some varieties can grow 25 feet tall. I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you for sharing your gardens and home.
Cordless trimmer......hmmm. I am banned from the electric trimmer since I was so engrossed in shaping the bushes that I managed to cut the cord two different times. Great video! Hugs to Willow.
What a wonderful vlog. I love all your plans for your garden and the barn. I hope to make a trip from LI to your shop . All the things you are gathering are so pretty. I have my floral shop in a co op with other artisans in a little seaside town. It’s nice because I don’t have to be there everyday as the owner of the co op has people who are there to handle sales.I think I was the person who told you about putting the empty pots in the garden fill them with soil where there is a void then in fall lift them put in bulbs or what ever and voila pour soil from the pot back into the hole with the new plantings. I learned from a guest speaker on lilacs that you can’t trim them ( you’ll remove next years blooms)but must remove 1/3 only each season by cutting the limb to the ground that you want to remove. If I lived closer I would help you in your garden. Maybe you could ask a local college for horticultural study’s if they would have a program where students could come to your garden and help, or a cooperative extension in your area may know. I loved your garden tour. Sending healing thoughts to sweet Willow🌸
Oh how beautiful the gardens are. I really like the stone walls. Here in the midwest we pay dearly for rocks!! Your barn plans look so wonderful. I enjoyed your video. Where will you have your shop? In a town near you?
Linda I just enjoy your videos and look forward to them. The barn plans look fantastic. And the wild woman with the tree trimmer, lol you go girl ! Hope willow is feeling better soon. She is such a love.
I hope you enjoy this video I put together for you!
yes love all of your videos and I've been learning so much. thank you
I hope Willow heals quickly and feels better real soon.
Thank you! She seems better already with the pain killer, but we are trying to keep her calm, which is a challenge LOL

The garden tour is beautiful. Poor Willow., hope she will be better soon. Love the new barn drawings.
I would hate you see your patio table and chair set go away what a great place to have coffee or lunch.
We do enjoy it there, but I can create another space IF I move the garden. We have other places for the garden too if I choose to do that instead.

Well, one is the many miles around my property ate the whole plant from the bottom. All that is left is a small hole. How sad. I planted, watered and fed the plants and now one of the 3 is gone. Maybe I should move the other 2 but I have moles here and there. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
The plans for your red barn look awesome. I may need a trimmer like that for my azaleas. Take care. From Chesapeake Beach Maryland.
I have a Milwaukee cordless leaf blower. I use it in every season! It moves snow, leaves, pine needles and even my garage floor! Great tool!!
Sorry to hear about Willow, hope she feels better soon 😢
This was such a beautiful and relaxing video thank you for posting .
You have the smart idea about going about your garden tasks a bit at a time. It is such fun to play with ideas until they firm up.
How beautiful your gardens are! Have you thought of rain barrels to help with watering your grass? It's free and readily available after a good rain!😊
Hi, if it was not again the house, blocking all views, are would love that option
You sorted out those shrubs like a pro!
Thank you, I was hot and wanted to get back inside to the cool house ASAP, so just went at them.
Loved seeing the plans for your barn. What a beautiful addition to the property it will be. Liked your new veg garden ideas. I can understand you being overwhelmed with all the work still to do on the flower beds. What a lovely garden tour too! Great video- thanks for sharing!
Wow! I’m going to be re-watching this video quite often. Best wishes for Willow.
Linda: Your videos are truly beautiful, educational, calming, and much, much more. Thank you for your hard work in producing them.
Thank you and you're welcome!
I miss your iron fence around your garden. Your new place is beautiful.
Such a beautiful property! I love the design of the possible new barn. I hope Willow heals soon.
Love your ideals for the barn. Those trimmers are great, I have a pair, but mine are electric. Poor Willow, I hope she feels better soon.
The barn would be amazing & turning the sugar shack into a she-shed is a wonderful idea!! 💗
Very beautiful gardens, thanks for taking us along!
Poor Willow, hope she feels better soon. My gardens are looking terrible this summer. I love the upside pots. Beautiful garden tour
We’ve had our trimmer for quite a few years. Love it. And we love all the other battery operated tools that go with the same battery.
Yes! So enjoyed this video! Inspiring for sure…..
Your choice of music is divine.
Thank you!
The maritime print speaks to my HEART! When you do price things please let me know, I can’t help but love it!
I did not think of that. Thank you. I've been calling local companies.
@@newenglandfineliving 😊
Love your videos Linda! Thanks so much for sharing. ❤️🙌🏻
Thank you!
I can't wait for your autumn drives. I love the colours! Poor Willow, I hope she has a speedy recovery. 🍁🐶🙋♀️
That laundry basket/cart is unique. Its a keeper. Try checking out pre engineered pre cut post and beam barns....I know Country Carpenters in Hebron, CT has many plans and ships to upper New England. I've toured one of its homes...solid construction.
Yes! We are possibly working with the company Tiberframe for post and beam
I loved the music with this video
Oh how beautiful the gardens are. I really like the stone walls. Here in the midwest we pay dearly for rocks!! Your barn plans look so wonderful. I enjoyed your video. Where will you have your shop? In a town near you?
Linda I just enjoy your videos and look forward to them. The barn plans look fantastic. And the wild woman with the tree trimmer, lol you go girl ! Hope willow is feeling better soon. She is such a love.
Thank you so much! "wild woman" LOL so me for sure!
Love the curving, slightly hidden, drive idea. Would visually expand the size of the property…IMHO
I think the barn shutter doors do move across the windows as I can see a roller mechanism on the plan.
