What's the deal with the over zealous handshake? What a character. He thinks very highly of himself. (showing Bard and Vegard the muscle on his leg etc) Clearly he is a talented athlete ready to tell it to the world. I don't trust a person that doesn't laugh, though. Bard & Vegard did a great summary.
Why do a lot of the old men they meet try to break their hands when they give them a handshake?
Because they have a desperate need to prove their own masculinity. Although why Brovis would bring this out in them, I have no idea.
"Firm and strong" is one thing. "Bone-crushing" is another.

A handshake is not meant to hurt the other part.
You should feel a handshake, but anyone can do a hard handshake if they want. It just makes the person a douche/ show off

He seems like the guy who would lean towards being a tyrannical father.
He also has an obvious lack of self-reflection and is pretty self-gratulatory. Interesting also that he has a general hostility towards the world in general. I know these kinds of people and I don't like them.
He clearly has a high opinion of himself, but at least he means well :)
Yes, I knew him and he made the world a better place. There are too few men out there like him.
