To the limited wep of the p51; i twas thinking of later f4u models like f4u4b and f2g. The p51 itself has no separate water injection what means it gets its power from the fuel im the fuel tanks. Thats why the 33min fuel tank is empty after 25 min when consistently using wep. In comparison the later spitfires or k4 have the same idea but even more fuel consumption on wep. The p51h has the same water injection system like f4u f8f and p47 and that's why it's wep is also limited

The P-51 should have unlimited WEP in War Thunder terms. Since its not water methanol injected. In reality it had a limit on WEP of 5 minutes however. Due to engine stress...
Not to mention it’s other variant, the D-20, has no reason to have a less powerful engine than the D-30. Their manifold boost pressure was upgraded to what the D-30 has in game during ww2
Oh my god. Corsair stall climbing after a bomber in front of 2 enemy fighters that are higher than him. The game would be more bearable if idiots like that didn't litter every lobby.
You can full wep the entire game. The radiator on the p-51 can be opened all the way because the drag is modelled that way as a work around to simulate the Meredith effect. I typically run full radiator with 95-100 prop pitch and wep the entire game.
You can use your radiators at 100%. The Meredith effect makes it so that 99% of drag gets compensated by the hot exhaust. You will suffer at top speed from 5kmh when fully open

40% both until temp reaches yellow, then 75-80%.
If the engine is still overheating, you can reduce prop pitch to 98 or 97%

Pretty sure the P51s (other than the h) have infinite wep. The wep is just the engine running higher than normal for the mustangs
Yes with good radiators management, you should be able to WEP infinitely

I am not sure but even if that swedish thing has the DB 605 its still left in the dust by the P51 at alt. it should be plenty faster.
The PM-1 has a lot of drag, so it might not be the fastest, but nothing rivals it in an optimal climb.
