It's a good saying and one that I think many young makers should learn thoroughly. I know in the beginning of my hobby level making journey, I would have been far better off had I heard and adhered to those words.

Fun little tidbit about the AVE Braille sticker... it's got a typo in the Braille, but it's not like anyone blind could see it, and they can't feel it since it's not ADA compliant with the little bumps.

hahaha I just saw the name. I know Im 2 years too late, but as a veteran laser cnc service guy, I love the build. Technically a fiber laser would be near visible and more of a retina obliterator. But I love it.

Have you considered using threaded rivets? Seems like there are a lot of parts to this project which would massively benefit from them over welding bolts/tapped plates

For bending aluminum, draw on it with a sharpie, then heat it until the sharpie burns off, let it cool, them bend it. Works a charm.

top tip now that its way too late. you could use an M12 x 1.0 tap in the toolpost and run it along the outside perimeter of the tube to cut the 1mm pitch thread. no fancy changegears needed
