Wow. This is the best I've ever seen. Much more sophisticated than the original box. Thanks for the great video. Best regards from Thailand.
My favorite moments in all your videos are when you say: "Okay" :-)
Amazing and you make it look so easy 👌
A man that takes the time to do it right!, and takes pride in his work! A sweet enclosure!
Just WOW ! Amazing. The best Enclosure OLM2 I've ever seen.👍
VC É UM ARTISTA IRMÃO. PARABÉNS FICOU LINDA !
This is incredible. In awe of the creativity and as attention to detail. Keep up the amazing work!
Bravo, it's the best enclosure for Ortur I've ever seen 🤩
Я потрясен! Великолепная работа!
Best enclosure I have seen bar non, masterfully constructed too ! Extremely well done all round!!!
Thanks for the wonderful comment.
you thought of everything! this is an awesome build. Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic job. I plan to buy the Atomstack x20 Pro very soon and hope to make something like this, although yours would be hard to match with my limited skills!
Whow, I was so inspired that I adapted your sophosticated approach to the TwoTree Laser Model S2 ... and it works fantastically...greetings from Vienna
What a great DIY project. All you need is a workshop full of tools.
You have de best workflow I have ever seen and the most accurate finishing wood made. Congratulation!
Ever think about selling those? Would be very profitable in my opinion. I'd buy one!
I wouldn't. It's pretty, but it's what's called safety theater. Extraction is insufficient to ensure fumes stay contained in the box and are properly removed through the hose, the clear plexiglass doesn't add any protection from the laser light (the shroud on the machine likely isn't high enough optical density to effectively filter the wavelength the laser is emitting) You're better off with no enclosure and putting the whole machine in an isolated shed, wearing a multigas respirator (about $30) and using a $20 sheet of high optical density acrylic as a portable eye shield for observation. If you don't have a dedicated shed or sealed room where you know people won't end up without PPE, a garage with some powerful shop fans directed to create a negative pressure with doors wide open to allow fumes to vent and don't let anyone enter the garage during use or for about half an hour after use without PPE.
I replaced the fan with a bigger one. Then it was much better than before. I chose transparent acrylic to make it easier to film the process. Therefore, color acrylic plates with a blocking function are recommended for those who make them.
First I was thinking (yep I can do that too ;-) ) what is that all about that box? But man that is clever. I think, the moment others stop is where you start to think. Absolutely ingenious :)
Excellent ideas. It seems that you have covered all the bases, except for good veneration. The exhaust fan is underpowered if you are trying to blow more than a few feet. The longer the run, the more power is needed. Air drag in the tubing is the issue, but that is an easy fix. Great design. I like your gridding idea, it is perfect, and the adjustable grid is brilliant.
Excellent and smart
Best enclosure ever seen.
Wow wow . Love it. You male me want all those machines you got there to build. Watching this video was so relaxing and fun to watch. . Just love it.
Great job on the enclosure! Love it!
¡Impresionante trabajo!!!
Thanks for the idea I will try to make one for me, great enclosure. Well designed.
Beautiful work! Very inspiring!
Clever 👌I think this must be the best cabinet for a laser i have seen, great design 😊
I have watched probably 500 youtube videos but your is by far the best. Your creativity and abilities are astounding. I only wish I could have had you for a son or grandson so that I could have learned from you as you grew up. I'm in awe of what you have done here on this video. I have recently gotten interested in laser engraving so that I can sign my woodart. I wanted some way to do taller projects and you have shown me exactly what I needed to see. Thank you so much for your time.
Thank you for your valuable comments. Your praise makes me happy. See you again with a good video.
Very, very ingenious! Congratulations.
Well done! I was questioning you until i watched.
Very impressed with how you thought it out.
This is massive. Thanks for sharing!
Vraiment génial, Félicitation... j'en ai parcouru des vidéos, et la tienne est incroyable. tu as pensé à tout !!!! Que du bonheur
Sensacional. Parabéns! Nice Job!
Great Box! Thank you!

Really ingenious, great work!
Simply amazing!

I will be making one of these, thank you!!
wow amazing work
That build was bad ass!
ok dang lol. that's some craftsmanship
Very wonderful work!
Bravo !! 👏👏👍
Nice!! The first thing you need when you get a laser engraver.
Baller, very nice!
Fantastic
You are AMAZING!!!
Muy Bueno exelente Trabajo un lujo te felicito y gracias por compartir tus ideas
Bravo, merci pour le partage.
So good.
Hello, great video and fantastic execution. Where can I get the blue height adjustment that you use in the lower area? Do you maybe have a link for me?
a.aliexpress.com/_oDYrtlt
Thank you.
Sehr gute Kiste !!! Gefällt mir.
Très ingénieux.
good work
I just watched this video again. I have to ask, do you ever make a mistake? Your plans, calculations and execution of build always seem to be spot on. Please tell us that you make as many mistakes as the rest of us. Thank you again for your efforts and these fantastic videos.
Yes, very often, I make mistakes too. I review my plans sufficiently to avoid mistakes as much as possible, and keep checking them from time to time while working.
Thank you for liking my video. See you again with a better video.
Great job :) love the ok, ok, ok
excellent
What skill.
Impresionante trabajo, pero de "HECHO EN CASA" como que no.
This is a very nice video.
The implementation and the purpose is very nice.
I use this creation for my project.
Excelente.
I mean this is pretty good!!! This is hands down the best enclosure I've seen. However, I feel you could've used more nails.
Mit solchen Werkzeugen bestimmt kein Problem
Супер!
How does the table saw make the edge grooves so easily?
Very nice build! What kind of clear window material (polycarbonate? lexan? acrylic?) did you use, and is that material good at blocking UV light from exiting the box? Great job!
This is clear acrylic. This is a window without UV blocking function. However, there is no problem because the laser head has a protector that blocks UV rays. thank you.
Nice Enclosure,
Some notes/questions:
Are the windows rated for the laser?
And do you plan on adding a exhaust/Filtersystem?
Thank you.
The windows are just plain windows. There are no plans to add an air filter system.
Could you share the lightburn file of grid? I much apprciate it in advance.
Beautiful!!
Nice one ... Can you make a video about your workshop tools specially the extensions you use.
I have no plans yet for a video explaining my workshop. It will be done in a while.
Excellent craftsmanship and beautiful results. I am curious how did you rewire the controller board to separate it from the laser?
Nothing special. I drilled a hole and pulled the wire out and reconnected it to the controller. thanks
hey love the build and trying to build one myself but wondering how you got the controls out of the box and had enough slack for the wiring.
The wiring is not long enough. I barely managed to get the job done. Of course you can too.
I bought the official enclosure with mine, and it's been good, but I've always thought I'd design and build a better one. This one does a lot of stuff I didn't even consider! The one thing it doesn't seem to have is a camera mount, though.
Yeah I didn't think of a camera mount. I didn't think I needed a camera.
@@carpentak When I had my camera mounted well, I really got a lot of use out of it for positioning things quickly and easily. But on the new machine, the case bends too easily, so I can't trust the camera.
Great build, and your shop and jigs look like a labor of love and science. My only question is... Did the cost of all the Baltic Birch plywood you used exceed the cost of the laser itself? Looks like you used 18mm (3/4in)--do you think you could substitute 12mm (1/2 in) without sacrificing utility?
Second comment--I've been using an older version of the Ortur with an upgraded 10w laser module Currently batching out a bunch of cuts in 1/8 Baltic Birch ply. I cut on top of a honeycomb platform on top of a sheet of aluminum to protect the laser surface. What has been happening is a build up of a brown sticky residue/tar on the aluminum sheet. I mention this because if you redesigned this enclosure, you should be design for easy replacement of the laser surfaces as consumable wasteboards.
thank you. I used 12mm and 9mm plywood to make this. What you see as 18mm is wrong. The 12mm is difficult to assemble by tightening the pieces, and the dovetail assembly method was used to make it strong. The cost is of course less than that of a laser. I did not upgrade the head. When the next new model comes out, I'm going to replace the whole thing.
Love this video so much. Wishing to do something similar. Any plans by chance for a reference?
I can't make plans, but I'll be seeing detailed pictures of these dimensions on my Instagram soon.
I just purchased a used Ortur laser engraver and I have searched and searched for ideas on adjustable height engraving and an enclosure. You knocked this one out of the ballpark. Awesome job! Do you have plans available? I usually don’t buy plans but I would be tempted and I’m sure many others would definitely buy!
I don't have plans. Instead, I'll show you this.

Your work is precise! Even your brad nails are perfectly spaced.
Awesome! Btw, what is the balck fan/white pip attachments purpose?
This is to send the smoke inside the box to the outdoors.
perfekt👍
nice work! one question: what kind of glass/plastic did you use for the two windows? It is rated to filter the laser lightwave? or UV type lightwave?
The one I used is just clear acrylic. So there is no filter function.
Great job man! I love it :D I need to know where do I get that outlet that is screwed into the box for the extraction tube... I cant even find it on internet
Thanks, I bought it here in Korea. So I can't give you a link.
Hi, very nice enclosure design, just the answer to every issue i need resolved for my box. May I just ask what it was you put at around 16:52 for soft closing of the lid? Thank you!
Thank you
This is the bumper for the cabinet door. I can't give you a link because I bought this here in Korea. You can find it on sites like Amazon.
Hi, really great work. Love your projects🙂 I just owned the same engraver as you did and I'm creating right now an enclosure nearly as you did with some minor changes. A short question: Could you explain shortly how you did the grid? I do not have any experience by now but would like to integrate such grid as well. Thx in advance. Regards, Arne
The grid was created using Lightburn software. This program is paid. I don't know any other way
@@carpentak ok, and you created the grid on your own or is there a template? thx😉
I made it. Lightburn is easy to use. Leave your email address, I'll send you the file if you need it
@@carpentak Hi, great job on the enclosure, love it. I might copy it 🙂. Where did you find the grid? Or can you share the file?
Just purchased the engraver and looking at what I’ll need to engrave the bottom of my wood bowls. What is the blue device to raise/lower the item to be engraved in the last part of the video?
This is the link I bought it from.

Amazing video, great job do you have the plans for sale ?
thanks for the nice comment .
I don't make plans.
Well , this escalated quickly. :))) Now I have too much to think about for a "simple" enclosure...
Dommage pas de plan free caisson très bien pensée
Hello bro. That's a very nice enclosure. Could you make a box for Atomstack X20 Pro dimensions?
I don't know that model. can't do it
Question, does it really extract all the smoke or does it still fill the room, just not as bad? Also, the wood enclosure made of wood is pretty combustible. Should your laser catch something on fire, your enclosure would be a fire danger.
The smoke is very well vented. The fire hazard of lasers is always present, even if it is not a wooden enclosure. I always watch from the side when I work.
lol...over build much? I see from your shop, you are gloriously set up for overbuilding! 👍
Hello what is the suction power in cubic meters of your extractor? And where did you get one of this size? Is it powerful enough to extract fumes? A short video on smoke extraction would be very welcome. thank you is very nice work
I bought this and chose the 70mm size. Of course, it would be better to use a larger one, but I am satisfied with this.
