I usually fish at the azgfd park ponds because I never have good luck at big lakes like pleasant and Bartlett I watched your yellow bass videos at canyon lake and saguaro, so I went today to canyon and I fished from my kayak and caught my first yellow bass , I ended up catching 3 and 1 bluegill , your video had helped more than any other video I have ever watched fishing, they tasted good as well

Damn Jake...kudos for braving the deep muck and cold water...I've fished those two sections and that shady one has some serious quicksand to get through! Fun to watch...cheers.

The Salt is a nice spot but I haven't seen anything pulled out of there over 3lbs. Majority are a lb+/- few oz's. It's that time of yr to dust off the Ned rig.... Solid day fishing, its always fun when you're catching them. Nice video.

Why are the fish at the salt always so small all year round? You would think at some point they would grow larger? Is it because the water is shallow and flowing?

Why do you use that spinning rod like it’s a baitcaster? Should be cast right hand reel left hand…to each his own tho I guess

Looks like lots of fun and good video footage. I'll bet that water is getting a bit cool. Caught a 30lb "orange bass" a few weeks ago.

@ron 1986 that’s a huge “orange bass”. It’s been a while since I’ve fished for them I’m going to have to do that sometime soon.

I was there 4 times last week and nothing every time. Its so defeating!
Been mostly using Texas rig worms of all kinds. Do you recommend crankbaits instead? Also Im starting to believe that getting in the water a must. Bank fishing just doesn't seem to allow me to reach the critical spots. Please help lol
    Side note, love the channel

@Roland Holban this time of year I love using the jerk bait. It’s a great cold water bait. And yes getting in the water is super helpful. Hope that helps. I do offer guided trips down there if you need the extra help.

Man you should pick up some waders for customers and yourself. Cheap ones work couple trips but now I just seal up all seams before using.
