Any tips would be appreciated 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Try using a wacky rig set up. They make specific hooks and a wacky tool to slip and O ring around the senko..Also maybe set the hook a little harder and keep your rod tip bent with constant pressure on the fish that way they fish don't come off.
Drop shot. That’s all ya need.
Jordan Sir-that big steep rock where you are seeing and catching those bass is where i caught my first dozen or so black bass 1970-1971. my father brought me to that trailhead before dawn when i was 10yo and an hour later had my first largemouth. thank you so much for posting this i almost cried. thank you! by the way the trail is there for herding sheep down from payson to queen creek and back again from 1885 until about 1990. they would follow the trail along the river and cross blue point bridge where you parked and then along bush hiway and ellsworth road to chandler and queen creek. smiles!
Lee Elbert I love hearing stories like that, I want to find a couple of good guys, that me and my son can go fishing with!!
In the winter when the water is low the shallows opposite from that rock are great for trout fishing. Right now (mid February as I type this) you can go to that spot and catch trout, bass, carp, and catfish all within a relatively small area.
Glad you enjoyed it! Love fishing the lower salt river. I found that I have to set the hook pretty hard fishing a weedless Texas rigged Senko or crayfish. Same watermelon you had there on a medium fast rod with a Shimano Stadic spinning reel. Don't really need a bait casting set up to have fun out there.
What an awesome video!
I’m just impressed how you’re catching them with the braided line 👌🏼
Not braided line it's just green colored you can tell by the way it doesn't stretch out and go straight
Hunting bass is much more fun than waiting for bass! Artificials are the way to go for sure!
Definitely! It’s such an adrenaline rush for sure 😁😁
That was coolness man! I love how excited you were!
I’ve fished this exact spot where your standing on the rock many times. Just the other day I caught a small bass across the river straight ahead where that beach area is it’s a decent spot. I see bass jumping all the time there and the water is deeppp right there.
The whole time I was looking at your fishing rod thinking that the red logo said SUBSCRIBE! That would be awesome, I may have to do that on my own rod! I want to go with you one of these time!
Haha that’s a great idea for sure!!!! 🤣 let’s do it man! Let’s figure out a good time 😁
I'll be out there next week. I tried saguaro lake last time and no luck. Hoping the salt river is better for me. What location is this if you dont mind me asking.
🎣
do you know a place i can shoreline camp and do some catfishing? please help and thank you.
You want a tip? Pay attention to your drag. Too much drag, you'll lose fish. You want just enough drag to hookset but not too much that you can't play the fish. If you are on the backbone on your rod and your drag is not activating, it is too much drag.
Thanks so much for the insight I will definitely implement that on my next trip out there 🙏🏼 I missed a ton of fish out there!
Salt river bass love plastic works. Small Crappie worms work very well with a worm weight and purple with red or yellow tail. I have caught a bunch using texas hook style
Thanks for the tips! i may go out and try it on friday!!!
how do i get to these spots? do i take the same road where people go tubing and find a turn off somewhere?
Awesome video, great advice
So I live in Arizona and I love fishing on the salt River
Is that water users rec area?
Thank you for the video a. I am heading down there tomorrow
Have you been more recently? How crowed has it been since everything opened back up
Heyy I’m a local and would LOVE TO KNOW WHERE U PARKED AND WALKED DOWN TO
Blue point :)
White rooster tails, grubs, and the whopper plopper killed it for me this summer on the salt river.
Yeah, I always have luck on rooster tails not sure why lol.
Smaller hook for wacky rig, and get some small o-rings ! Great video by the way !
Your lucky Jordan you caught a lot. When we went to big bear I didn’t catch one!!! Ugh 😩
Oh no! That place looks incredible!
Would you run ultralight gear out there or is that asking to get broken off?
Shimono slx dc
Nice video. Good spot for big carp too. In my 2nd video I catch a bunch from the opposite shoreline.
Bro the pole is good. And the reel is also amazing. Clean it
well which part of the salt?
JORDEN WHERE WAS LUIS? AND HOW COME YOU CAN'T TAKE THE FISH HOME TO COOK.
Nice video!
Cool video. I subscribed
Look in to Texas rigging and the wacky rig bro simple hook set up. I always go weedless.
Learn to set your hook dude lol
