Awesome man I was at big lake middle of June. We didn’t catching anything close to bank either. We killed it in about 18-20 foot of water about 200 yards off shore.

If it’s your first time there and you wanna be guaranteed a fish I’d rent a kayak or aluminum boat and fish a drop shot. Or Carolina rig with power bait it’s money.
Those were some nice fish. I love fishing for trout. When I see video's like this, I miss Oregon. Trout fishing was only five minutes away. Not three hours

I have only caught one rainbow trout in my life. But it was a fat 24 inch bawss. That looked super fun, thanks for sharing

I had a cabin on cannon beach and it was minutes away from amazing fishing. Oregon is paradise.

What fish finder are you using on your kayak? I have an old fishing buddy I can use on my float tube and pontoon but looking to upgrade. Thanks.
If they swallow the hook it just means they get to be dinner. Then again I would have bonked most of those.
