Thanks for keeping it real, Jake! I’m glad you’re safe! I was with my uncle cruising to a smallmouth spot on Lake Erie back in the ‘80s, when we hit a mostly submerged log. We were doing 30 mph in his 18 ft StarCraft I/O. Sheered the blades off of the prop, and the 120 hp Mercruiser engine over- revved and had to be rebuilt. Most importantly, we were okay, and so was the boat!

Glade your safe. I feel you on losing equipment, I lost a P5 destroyer 500.00 rod at lake pleasent. In the end it’s just equipment that can be replaced.pick your head up you make good content.

I’d actually like to change what I said. While it does suck at the time, it’s not an unfortunate part of life. These sucky moments are what makes life worth living. We have lows, but that makes the highs that much better! Can’t wait to see more great content! Cheers!
Hey man I flipped my kayak between verde and salt thank god I was able to grab all my fishing gear when I flipped! I know how bad that sucks to lose camera equipment! Luckily I grabbed my GoPro underwater.

I’m sorry man, glad you are okay!!!!! I had a crappy weekend up at willow springs last weekend. Brand new pole and my abu Garcia baitcaster. Hooked a smallmouth on a whopper plopper, got the treble hook snagged on my kayak seat when landing it. By the time I got it all undone I decided the fish was dinner. Broke my treble on the back. Stood up on the kayak to put the fish in the cooler and the rod holder on my kayak flexed and that and the pole went to the bottom. It was within an inch of my fingers but it went to the bottom. Glad I didn’t lose any other gear or flip the kayak. I let it go and put the plopper on my other line and a bald eagle lined up with it and hit my lure. Got tangled in the line but thankfully not hooked and got away unharmed. Can’t even imagine what fish and wildlife would have said. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. Keep doing your thing man! It will get better!!!
I always worry at Willow about the birds trying to get the fish on the stringer dragging behind the kayak as I paddle. I enjoy watching them grab a fish, but hope to not tangle with one.
Glad you’re ok Jake. That is scary. I almost drowned jumping from the cliff. Got tired and almost didn’t make it out to the other side. One of The scariest moments of my life; and I’m a professional skydiver.
One of my friends drowned in the Salt River in HS. Material good can be replaced, but we only get one life to live. You should start a crowd funding campaign if you need help replacing your video equipment.
