In grad school every class had a presentation. Our basic Information Systems class had a timed, 15 minute presentation. We were supposed to use video, sound and power point. I used Flash (18 years ago) and got points deducted for not using PowerPoint. The professor thought I had timed the transitions which was false b/c I had set up the space bar to transition.

It makes a big difference when you believe in the stuff you present. At least for me it does. 😉

I does help a lot. A good sales guy however should be able to present the worst product as a win anyway. Thats the hard part.

    I’m terrified of public speaking!

You're just terrified at the thought of public speaking. Rome wasn't built in a day. Enrol on a public speaking course. The way they do it is build you up, you do it gradually.
That way you find out it's not as bad as you think it is.
How do I know? I used to be terrified at the thought of it, then on a course for it, realised it wasn't that bad. Practice is all that's needed.

Bill, is it ok to use your marking scheme and quote you as original author who designed this marking scheme? or the rights are reserved and should not. Thanks.

As far as I'm concerned, you can use it. Not a problem

A question for a future video if you are interested Bill. Where would you look for formal training courses / certificate trainings to improve your soft skills? I want to communicate to employers (both current and future) that I value these skills, I have practical real life experience using these skills as well as I have received formal training on these skills.
To me a certificate would communicate that you are not just saying you have skills but you have (at least to a basic degree) an outside verification that you indeed do possess these skills.
Sorry for how long the comment / question is.

I did a clumsy video about toastmasters early on: ruclips.net/video/oMSyzRT52qE/видео.html - I'd look there.
But speaking as an employer, beyond that, I wouldn't really need or trust any formal qualification in such things (except perhaps negotiation skills, if that needs to be part of your job). When you meet someone for a job interview, you're demonstrating your soft skills - and that's the best indicator. I wouldn't put much credence in a qualification when the person right in front of you clearly has underdeveloped soft skills.

You didn't show up, so ZERO, and then you didn't do all the elements I wanted, so MINUS 70! Sensible grading for happier students.
