These seem like really nice people, but surely those closest to her were her LOVERS, none of whom have spoken about her. She was GAY... just like Elton, she had to claim bisexuality to make it more palatable for delicate straight sensibilities. She married a WOMAN, she loved women and that's what tore her apart because in those days you just DID NOT DO THAT. Ellen had it easy compared to her and even when she came out 30 years later, she got a lot of flack. Dusty was extremely brave to even broach the subject which no one did in those days except for fringe artists- but Dusty was a superstar and had an enormous career to protect. Wish I could have met her.

Well said Wanda. A different time way back then but hope we've all grown up some, sorry to say the catholic church hasnt. If they had ,Dusty could have come out more openly then and perhaps would have accelerated the acceptance of gay marriage .And everyone could love who they want what an idea !!!🤔

"Not all the Queens are in the Royal boxes" clever
AND SHE HAD TO APOLOGIZE TO THE ROYAL FAMILY FOR A CLEVER JOKE?!!!
None of the bland boring predictable mediocrity of the British Imperial Family.

Oh that was just Margaret, who put on airs and graces wherever she went!
The Queen would have smiled and not been so standoffish as Margaret was.
Just because she was the 2nd sister she always felt inferior to the Queen, so pulled everyone up for everything!

What was Dusty doing kissing Russell Harty's hand? It should surely have been the other way round! I see what you mean by "Russell Harty completely messed it up". He even forgot to introduce her!

She was bisexual apparently which means gay/straight, in other words she swung both ways!

Dusty was bisexual. Madeleine Bell clung to her and would leave even when asked politely to go.
