Thank you so much Simon, Madeline, Pat and friends for being there when Dusty needed you. I wish I could have known Dusty but I have all of her music. She was truly a wonder. I love her and I love you all for being there for her. Thank you so much.
Thank you again for a uploading great interview.I'm glad she was surrounded with so many close and genuine friends.I will always be her fan and I miss her.May she rest in peace.
Dusty Springfield was a great singer and a greater human being. T.G she had faithful friends. RIP Diva Supreme. No English singer has reached you yet......
What wonderful friends Dusty had and such a loyal fan base. God bless yer Dusty, she's not dead, she's just moved on to another place, somewhere where we'll all see her again some day. R.I.P lass X X X Ray♥
I agree with Madeline when she said that Dusty was not appreciated the way she should've been. She was highly regarded by many in the UK. However, I think she was under-rated in the U.S. where her great talent was not fully acknowledged.
How much more acknowledged does a recording artist who got extensive airplay on at least a half dozen hits have to be? She was a star here. Hell, I was into her as a kid when she sang with The Springfields. She was widely known in the USA as a great female pop music artist. I don't know if she won any awards but I wouldn't call her "under-rated". There was a lot of competition; I think that's the explanation. I heard the Pet Shop Boys found her living in a cheap motel. If she was so highly regarded in the UK how did it get to the point where she was all but destitute and living in a rat-trap until the Boys hired her to sing on one of their biggest hits? Many female artists would kill to have the career she had.
The male backup singer who took care of Dusty, what's his name? A wonderful person, so glad he was there for her. He is right, Dusty is always with us through her songs.

SP GLAD DUSTY HAD THIS WONDERFUL MAN WITH HER UNTIL THE END...SO CARING..SO KIND...
Dusty's Catholic guilt and self torture obviously manifested physically and caused the cancer which unfortunately took her waaaaay too soon.
