3 QUICK CHRISTMAS CANDIES TO MAKE IN 30 MINUTES

- Quick Christmas Candy
Almond Crackers
2 sleeves of graham crackers or enough to line the bottom of a large baking sheet
2 cups of slivered almonds lightly toasted
1 ½ cups of butter cubed
1 cup of brown sugar
Spread the almonds on a cookie sheet and place in a 400-degree oven, watching them carefully to make sure they don’t get to dark. Once you have them toasted and set aside to cook put the cubed butter in a pot to melt. Line the bottom of a large cookie sheet with tin foil and then the graham cracker crumbs making sure to cover the bottom completely. Once the butter melted stir in the brown sugar and heat until the boiling point. Once the mixture boils remove it from the heat. Spread the almonds on the graham crackers and then pour the butter and sugar mixture over the top making sure to cover all of the crackers. Bake in a 400-degree oven for 6-8 minutes or until its really bubbly. Remove from the oven and let cool about 5 minutes or until it begins to set up. Using the foil lift the mixture from the pan and put on a cutting board. Cut into square or just break it apart. You want to get it off the foil before it cools completely or its really hard to get off.
White Chocolate Chip Oreo Fudge
2 bags of white chocolate chips
¾ of a can of sweetened condensed milk
10 chocolate oreo style cookies chopped into small chunks
Put the chips and the condensed milk into a heat proof bowl and give it a stir. Put the bowl into your microwave oven and set it for one minute and 20 seconds. Check it every 10 seconds giving it a stir each time. You don’t want it to scorch and you do want the chips to be completely melted. Once the chips have melted and everything is well combined stir in the cookie chunks without overmixing. Pour into a buttered 8” X 8” pan and refrigerate for two hours. Turn out and cut into squares.
Three Ingredient Chocolate Fudge
2 bags of milk chocolate chips
¾ of a can of sweetened condensed milk. A whole can if you like it softer.
1 tsp vanilla
Put the chips and the condensed milk into a heat proof bowl and give it a stir. Put the bowl into your microwave oven and set it for one minute and 20 seconds. Check it every 10 seconds giving it a stir each time. You don’t want it to scorch and you do want the chips to be completely melted. Once the chips have melted add the vanilla and stir until combined. Pour into a buttered 8” X 8” pan and refrigerate for two hours. Turn out and cut into squares.

Thank you Barbara, and thank you for watching! :) cheers, Colleen
@@oursilvermoments6028 ío lol
@@barbschaefer2902 Thank you!
I love the way you "cheated" on these fabulous recipes. You are a joy to watch and I pray that your family member is doing well.
Hello Carolyn, Thank you for watching! I know this is a busy time of the year and it warms me that you follow along. All the best of the holidays and for the new year to come. Colleen
😊
😊
Hello! I just discovered your channel (late), but am delighted! How nice of you to share these fantastic, simple candy recipes, how clever! My husband and I are seniors with health problems and not as much energy anymore, so these easy, delicious candy recipes will really help! Thank's so much, I hope to find more videos from you! Also hope you and your family are well and safe!🙏❤
Thank you for sharing these recipes. These are great for people who are not Strong because of age or recouping from an illness. Can’t wait to try them. Bibby
Hello Bibby, Yes, its nice to have some simple recipes that don't require much effort but still show you care. Cheers, Colleen
Love your "keep your hands clean to butter the dish" hack!!
I'm happy you found it useful. Cheers, Colleen
Thanks for the recipes! I thought I was the only one that used the cap of the vanilla extract when making sweet treats 👍🏽
I use the cap my ma and granny did too
Michele, No you are not the only one using the cap to measure the vanilla. I am sure there are more than you and me. Happy Holidays to your and yours! Colleen
I always used it since I was in elementary school because my sister and I made chocolate chip cookies every Sunday and my mother said that was easier.
I’m so glad that I just found this video! I really enjoyed watching you as you taught us how to make these 3 easy recipes. I think a lot of us really need this kind of recipe because Christmas will soon be here! I’m going to try all 3! I got tickled with the “Tongue twister” and I’m so glad you didn’t edit that part--so cute! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas! Jesus is the reason for the season.
Bless your heart! Thank you for watching and I'm so pleased that you found something useful here. God bless you and your family 👪
How adorable when she giggled at her "ten seconds" tongue entanglement. Include extra charm for the involuntary blush. I adore this lady! Instant sub.
Thank you so much for subscribing to my channel. I hope to continue to bring you content that interests you. Blessings, Colleen
I think of you as a wonderful family relative, offering me cooking and canning instructions by video! Unheard of when my grandma was alive. Oh!, how i wish she could have made me some videos. She passed when I was around 6 years old I’m 75 now. So I treasure my ‘new (online) relatives’.
A little hint with your fudge: heat the milk first, then add the chocolate and stir. Less chance of burning the chocolate and it stays warmer longer to pour easier. Also, I add a good pinch of salt to give it the nice salty sweet taste. ❤️
Hello Susan
How are you doing today?
Great hints Susan, thanks for contributed. Cheers, Colleen
I. don’t. Remember. You very Much
Great tip!!!
LOVE the butter bag idea!!!!! I'm definitely going to use that idea! THANK YOU!
You are most welcome, its a time and mess saver for sure. Cheers, Colleen
What is the butter bag?
@@vickiestephens8889 In the video, she turned a zip lock bag inside out and put her hand in with butter on the bag to be able to butter pans. When finished, turn the bag right side out (the butter will be inside of the bag now) and you can zip lock the bag, toss it in the fridge and use the leftover butter to grease a pan in the future. Very clever idea! :)
You are a HOOT! I get stuck on words like you when I get busy making candy! Keep the recipies coming. Stay warm and dry! From TEXAS.
Hello Cynthia, I used to really worry about the little tongue twisters and still edit out the big ones but I'm beginning to realise that its real life and others do it to. We are under a snow warning in our area so I will be sticking pretty close to home. Cheers, Colleen
I maDe the almond crackers, Rocky road, and gingerbread fudge today. They all turned out beautifully and taste delish! Thank you so much! Greetings from Colorado!❤
Just found this channel right before the holidays...great timing!!🥰👏👍❤
All three recipes sound so good. My aunt used to make something like your Almond Graham cracker snack except she used pecans. We're from Texas😊 I plan to try the this week. Thanks
Hope you enjoy them! Cheers, Colleen
Glad to see you!
Hello again, I am glad to be back! I hope that you have a restful, peaceful and fun-filled holiday season. Cheers, Colleen
I made the white choc with chopped dried cherries...I also do rocky road fudge by adding mini marshmallows & chopped walnuts...if you like pumpkin pie then melt the white choc & ad a couple of tablespoons of pumpkin pie spice. It's amazing. Have a great holiday.
Thank you Linda, I am going to have to try that pumpkin pie one. A happy holiday season to you and yours! Colleen
You are precious! Thank you so much for your helpful hints and quick recipes!
I'm so happy for these recipes. I've never seen them and am always looking for new ones to give as gifts!
These look delicious! I love the butter n bag trick. Thanks for the video! Have a blessed Christmas! 🙏😇🙏
I absolutely cannot wait to try the almond cracker recipe, with both no chocolate, and with chocolate, on top. I don't care for the version made with the saltine crackers, however being fond of both graham crackers and almonds this toffee cracker sounds amazing. I'm also looking forward to trying your oreo fudge. My family loves nuts, so I'll likely add either some chopped pecans, or maybe some macadamia nuts. Finally in closing, I must say, l had to laugh at your "silver moment" with the phrase, 'ten second intervals', only because now at fifty-five, I too find myself doing exactly the same thing.🥰 God bless and much love.💞🙏
Hello Patty, I'm wondering how your Graham cracker, almond treats turned out? Best wishes, Colleen
Just found your channel, so I’m a new subscriber. I’m so glad you didn’t edit out the ‘10 second intervals or increments’. It was super cute! Love from Rogersville, Tennessee.
Thank you for subscribing Sandra! I try to keep it real but of course lots gets edited. Cheers, Colleen
Such a fun recipes. I am glad you had a chance to make a few treats for the holidays. It does make the season feel more festive when there are some homemade sweets around!
Thank you! It does make us feel good to have something to offer guests as they come by. Happy Holidays, Colleen
I'm loving watching you cook/make/bake in your kitchen, you are so laid back warm and friendly.
I don't know how I found you but I'm so happy I did.
I will make sure I don't lose you as I've just liked and shared you to my Facebook and subscribed to all your videos.

Thank you Starr, Merry Christmas!
I just am in love with your channel Coleen! I’m in Charlotte, NC and I don’t get to see snow much, I really enjoy watching the snow flurries falling when you have your window behind you open. ☃️☃️ I still say your making fudge your just doing it the shortcut way which as a mom of 2, and I work full time as a Baker even tho I know exactly how to make traditional fudge, after standing on my feet for 12 hours and I come home and I wanna make baked goodies but my feet just can’t take another 2 hours of standing these quick, or cheater fudge recipes are amazing! I have tried your sugar cookie fudge, gingerbread, and oreo, and I left my cheater peanutbutter fudge recipe on your other video if your allergic to peanuts like Coleen is…if you can have Hazelnuts, Nutella works in my recipe, just substitute peanutbutter with Nutella or whichever peanutbutter substitute that’s safe for those whom are allergic, almond with some dried chopped cherries is very good. Or do the fast white chocolate fudge and add in dried cherries and almonds…. Soooo good! I personally love Black Forest fudge. Chocolate paired with cherries topped with drizzled chocolate. Ohhhhh myyyy! So you can do a cheater fudge with this too… you just need to make sure you have all add ins measured and chopped before you even begins to melt your chocolate, so have those ready and waiting then melt your cheater fudge, then add your VERY drained Maraschino Cherries, cut them up, and what juice comes from cutting….keep it, once your chocolate is melted add your chopped cherries and what bit of juice drained from cutting and mix well… pour into 8x8 let it set for about 5-8 minutes, and drizzle melted chocolate over your fudge and let finish setting. You can either have your chocolate melted and bagged before or you can melt and bag while your letting your fudge set for 5-8mins ( I melt mine and bag it while my fudge sets the 5-8 mins) ☃️🎄HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! Coleen I love your channel, I love the fast fudge(s) I don’t wanna call them cheaters because your not cheating, your doing it a quicker way. For those that are in the States now we all know grocery stores have gotten pricey with their items, try dollar general, ALDIs, Lidels, family dollar, and even the dollar tree carry’s ingredients, ya may have to drive to a couple places but instead of Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Krogers, the Big Name Stores, try ALDIs and the smaller stores, I found baking chocolate at ALDIs for a $1.25 cheaper than Food Lion and it’s a darn good chocolate, I love it as do my customers. ☃️🎄HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE☃️🎄
Loved the recipes, thank you for sharing.
You are most welcome, I hope you find something useful here. Cheers, Colleen
Thank u for these. It’s been very busy for us and I could use these quick treats!!

Your welcome Sylvia and thank you for watching. Best wishes, Colleen
Thank you for these easy quick recipes. I also use the cap from my vanilla to measure it with. I bet tons of people do too! :) I've never heard of the graham cracker candy, and will be trying it this year, thanks! The white with the oreo cookie add ins looks so good! I haven't tried that one yet, but have made the chocolate fudge recipe. So good!
Thank you so much for your kind comments and for watching the channel. I am happy to know that you found these recipes useful. Best wishes Colleen

Love your mom's recipe with all the slivered almonds! Will have to try it.The one with Oreos and white chips, I made with peanut butter instead of the eagle milk. It was still almost too sweet for me, but I know my friends will love it.
Thank you!

Kootenay2326, Thank you for subscribing and I'm honored to know that I can bring you such sweet memories. Blessing on your and yours this Holiday Season, Colleen
I Love The Way you Measure Vanilla 🎅. My Grandma always measured Vanilla by the cap, My Mom Did the Same and now I Measure by the cap 🥰
I think it comes with confidence in the kitchen. 🥰
Great idea to use a baggy to butter the pans. I tried the cracker recipe however the lady I got the recipe from used salt crackers and no nuts sprinkled chocolate chips while still hot and then spread them when they melted. It was good. Yours sounds like a totally new taste with the gram crackers and the nuts. I'll have to try it. Thank You for your recipe.
Araceli, Yes, my daughter in law makes the recipe with saltine crackers, chocolate chips and sprinkles. It's good too, but honestly I prefer the one with the graham crackers and the toasted slivered almonds. Happy Holidays to your and yours! Colleen
I love the candies and you are such a hoot to listen to! Happy holidays !
Thank you Randee!
Hi Colleen,
I just found your channel and subscribed. Wonderful candy recipes and the chicken and pasta ranch is what's for dinner tomorrow.

Hello Bobbie Jo, Thanks so much for subscribing to the channel. Let me know how you liked the chicken bacon ranch recipe please? Brightess Blessing to you and yours this Holiday Season. Colleen
I always just butter the dish with my fingers. I rub the extra into my hands and it disappears! Bet butter's good for my dry skin!
I love quick and easy. That's right up my Alley.

You are most welcome and thank you for your comments I appreciate you watching. Cheers, Colleen
I’m in the Dallas Texas area, it was
77°f here today, 11/29/22 we could use some *slightly* cooler temperatures lol. I just wanted to say that this video popped up in my recommendations, and I’m glad I clicked on it, I genuinely felt like I was spending time with a friend. I chuckled when the 10 second intervals wanted to keep you humble, and you added the text about the eggnog. We just spent time with my brother for thanksgiving and I made mint stuffed Oreos dipped in white chocolate, plus other complex goodies, guess which were his favorite. He just accepted a job on an oil rig after 26 years in law enforcement, I’m sending him with lots of treats to share. Will be adding these to the treat box!
Hello Valerie, thank you, that is exactly what I want is for people to think they are in my kitchen and they each of you is important to me because you are. I wouldn't mind you sharing a few degrees with us today. It's 5 degrees F here at the moment. Brightest blessings to you and yours. Colleen
Lol, yeah It sounded like you had some eggnog before trying to melt your chips. That tickled me. It's nice to know that I'm not alone with my speech impediments! Thanks for the awesome recipes! 😃
And I was completely sober and for some reason it tickled me and I thought about cutting it out and then thought, nope I can't be the only one who messes up words. Happy holidays, Colleen
Looks wonderful! Thank you!
Hello Loretta, I hope that you find the recipes useful. Blessings of the season, Colleen
I really enjoyed your video! God bless you!
Thank you Marilyn, I appreciate your kind comments and you following along. God's blessings for you! Colleen
I have already started to buy supplies for these!❤
Great!! I hope you enjoy them. Cheers, Colleen
