Still praying that friends, family and cooking gets you to a better place. You will never be the same but with God’s help, you will get through until your ultimate reunion in heaven. ❤I love your recipes. Keep going. I do enjoy watching other people cook😀
Thank you so much! I am so encouraged by all my viewers, many of whom have faced the same kind of loss. It would be super hard to get through this without all of you. ❤️ thanks for watching!
I am moving my 90 year old dad here on my land. I'm planning on canning & freezing meals for this VERY independent man. Thank you so much for being you...
You may have not been feeling well wjen yiu made this video, but you made a home cooked meal and a dessert. Simple or not, you didnt call for takeout, and that is definitely a win! I hope you are being gentle and kind to yourself during this difficult time! Thank you for this video, Colleen.
Grief doesn't have a schedule, And we don't need to get over it as once was thought. Our hearts grow around the space that are loved one took up in our hearts. Dont be afraid to cry or to talk about them. I hope you have a really good support system❤
Hi Colleen, I think for you often and hope with each passing day you will find peace. I so enjoy spending time with you on your channel and your fabulous recipes. God be with you always my friend. 🥰❤🙏🙏❤❤
We would get a half pear with cottage cheese and shredded cheese over that. It was delicious. I served it to my family when I had children. It could be a used as a salad if you put a leaf of lettuce under it or as a dessert without the lettuce for the pear to sit on.
I haven’t lost my husband but if it weren’t for my 7yr old granddaughter I wouldn’t get out bed. Please believe me someone here for you. Please keep it up.
Colleen, given your circumstances right now you look wonderful. You’re getting up and pushing through this and that is all you can expect of yourself for a while. God will lovingly lead you. “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand, who says to you ‘Do not fear, I will help you. ‘ “
i lost my 17 yr old brother in 1980 - i watched my parents go through life living with that loss and i dont know how they did it but they did, until they passed away and reunited with him and so many others in Heaven. You are not alone, you do not walk alone in this journey of grief and loss. I look back on my life and how i did or didnt deal with grief and there is only one way i made it through - and it was because Jesus Christ Himself held my hand, and i never knew it but when i came through the fire, He pulled me out. I am so sorry for your tragic loss. Your daughter would not want you to be sad forever.
After my husband passed away I would stay in my pajamas most days. One day my son came over, he looked at me and wanted to know if I was ever going to get dressed again. I told him I wasn’t sure. I did start getting dressed, but some days that was about all I could manage. It is a journey.
It is a journey. The other day I realized that I hadn't cried in two days and that realization made me cry. It is getting easier each day but you never forget.
When my companion/ better half of 23 years passed,I spent the next 6 weeks it bedroom. I HAD to cook and also feed my 2 cats who were as bummed and bewildered as I. Cooking is therapy. It takes quite a while to recuperate so PLEASE be gentle with yourself and try not to let people tell you that "it's time to get over it" because that's not how grief works. I just discovered your channel and I will, DEFINITELY return! The food is awesome and so is your "vibe". Massive hugs to you, always. You are not alone. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@SparkeysMum Thank you so much, I am really being gentle with myself and encouraging my husband to care for himself as well. It has been a long road and although not unexpected the grief is the same. ❤️
Another delicious concoction, Colleen. I think I'll add some mushrooms since we like them on our pizza. Planning on making the pie too Lemon is a favourite. Yum.
First time watching, you have a most pleasant voice and confident demeanor. I’m sorry I don’t know your story, but you have my prayers for a happy and fulfilled life. Just know there are people out there who care about and pray for you🙏🏻💕
Thank you, Leanna. we are slowly coming back to life after the loss of our daughter. Each day is a bit easier, and we know that is because we have so many people praying for us. ❤️
You are the nicest person...I can tell even though we have not met. I so enjoy watching you cook and I am trying this recipe as soon as I shop. Stay safe. 👍🇦🇺
I just came here after the feed showed up on my RUclips. Happy you are Canadian🇨🇦🌺🙏 You are so right you can’t find frozen juices. Like before. I guess no one drinks them. Very hard to find🤷♀️🕊️🇨🇦🌸
So happy I found you today. Simple recipes with a delightful chef! I truly enjoyed watching you and plan to go back and watch your older videos. Of course, I subscribed and gave you a thumbs up. I'd give you two if I could. Thank you for sharing your talent and God Bless!! 👍😋💐
Thanks for sharing! Both look wonderful!! The pie would be great on a hot day. I'm going to have to look for some lemonade when I go to the grocery later this week. I get how you feel. Grief has no timeline. Go easy on yourself. Keeping you and your family in my prayers.
Sending prayers your way! Both those things look really good. I am always looking for new simple food ideas. These are going on my list of things to make.
Hello Collen, I came across your channel about 6 months ago and spent many a pleasant time watching past videos. I am so sorry for your loss and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Take each day as it comes, some will be very hard and others less hard. You are on the rollercoaster of emotions right now.
Thank you. I need to admit that when I watch your videos, I am feel happy inside. Your voice is quite calm and pleasing. It's like watching a best friend. Again. I Love your bread machine recipes. I made bread, cinnamon rolls and buns. All turned out excellently with my Black and Decker bread machine. It's an old one that was given to me 1 year ago. I did not like the MANUFACTURES'S RECEIPE BUT YOURS MY DEAR IS JUST PERFECT. From Ottawa with love, Merci !
Loved both of these recipes. Personally, for the main dish, I would quarter the pepperoni that goes into the dish if I couldn't get minis, but this is definitely a dish that is right up my alley 'cause I love "one pot" meals. I'm lazy most days, LOL. Loved the dessert too. I think it would lend itself to being made with any frozen juice if that were someone's preference. A tip for your husbands dessert - you could always mix some graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and press it into the bottom of the containers before adding the filling mixture.
Good Morning! I really like your videos. I made a sort of cheese pie with cream cheese and instant pudding & cool whip with a graham cracker crust. It was ok. But never heard of using frozen lemonade. I also make pasta dishes just like the one you showed.
Hello from Toronto. I’m so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what you’re going through. My heart goes out to you and your family. I really enjoy your videos and recipes! Suzanne ❤
