A correction. His skill doesn't need to hit an enemy to heal. It needs to hit something (actually it doesnt). If you need faster healing, aim at a wall. I've been saying he is the best healer since his release and the comments I got on my vids were mostly negative. People who don't have Baizhu have no idea how comfortable he is. Is he 'replaceable', maybe... but everyone is. C2 is pretty good if you main Cyno, you'll always have dendro application during Cyno's burst.
Actually, his skill doesn't need to hit anything at all. His skill passes through the wall. As long as you use his skill, he'll heal when the snake comes back.
@@xiaol0ngbao True, it doesn't need to hit anything, but it also doest pass through walls in my experience. If you use his skill in an open area without enemies it will take about 2 seconds to return. If you are in the abyss (or in an enclosed area) and you aim towards the invisible wall, it will almost automatically heal you as it returns faster.
@@giuba98 ITS REALLY NOT LOL. If he’s not on field in like a nilou bloom team, the application from his skill and burst is absolutely horrendous. The fact that they don’t apply dendro that much on top of the fact they are single target makes it so his elemental application sucks. In early abyss floors where there are like 6-10 enemies at a time, his dendro application off field is not enough for teams like cyno and you will need another dendro unit like nahida. Even in best case scenario where his burst and skill hits every target once, it will only apply one instance of dendro which is not enough for a cyno quickbloom team.
Pulled for him back then to complete my Keqing aggravate team, and the good doctor has been totally worth it. He carried my team when I was fighting that Vivianne boss, and because of that I'm seriously considering on giving him two crowns.
me too, he's good He heals, boosts aggravate*, gives 40% atk with ttds, gives EM with the instructor set and even more EM since with him you complete the dendro consonance I don't regret going for him, in fact I hope the same thing happens to him that happened with Kokomi and people value him a little more since he is not a bad character
I know right, he is one of my favorite characters and i use him in my most used team being: Tighnari Yea miko Baizhu Albedo. I also 36 star abyss the first time with him in a broken hyperbloom team. Half the characters were only half build. Hp deepwood on field baizhu with sac frag, EM raiden with lvl 60 dragonsbane and 2 4 Guilded dreams. A jade cutter emblem water sword boi and a totally non build mona purely for some extra ER for Xingqui + hydro resonance so that baizhu did hit almost 50.000 hp.
I missed getting him the first time. I now have ~220 wishes saved to get him and Furina. I’m short of the 360 guaranteed (assuming I need to hit hard pity 4 times, and lose both 50/50) But I’m excited for him to come home v-v
@@Sinking_ heard he and furina together will be quite a good duo. But yeah, i love Baizhu. He almost always seems to get into one of my 2 abyss teams because he is just soo very versatile
I'm still bitter over how badly Baizhu was done dirty on release after waiting for him for almost 3 years. At least the one way Hoyo did treat him right was giving him a great kit
@@kingsky9813 For ex, the time he came out was exactly the time Honkai impact star rail came out. Everyone was playing it, so Baizhu's, and Kaveh's release was overshadowed. Most of the Genshin content creators didn't even did a Kaveh guide, because they were playing starrail.... T_T

Baizhu is definitely top tier healer support. No circle impact, one tap heal all, damage buffing, resistance interruption, and constant off-field elemental application. Been interested in him since his first appearance in Liyue that's why I saved specifically for him when he got released. No regrets at all. He's so comfortable to use wherever you take him be it overworld or abyss. Love him so much. ♥
@@oscara8454 ik, but i wanna build more hp on him for better heals and buff. trying to balance it with ER is just stressful. even with 180% ER i need to rotate twice on him to get his burst up again. i just think having 60 cost would make building him better and burst uptime better too. so that he can actually be a reliable off field dendro applicator
As a Baizhu dps player since his release he has an interesting detail in his kit, that is the double charged attack (consumes one's stamina and requires practice to use it consistently) with Neuvillette weapon and atk build, highly recommended.
@@lafeechloe6998 use charged attack, move fast in a small space and use charged attack again, two green thunders will fall in different reactions, all for the price of one.
Neuvillette's weapon gives HP, Crt DMg, atk. 3 things DPS Baizhu loves. I pulled a second Tome so Neuvi and Baizhu could both have one. DPS Baizhu is an immortal tank.
Between Kokomi and then Baizhu, I'm 2 for 2 pulling healers that got so much hate that are 2 of my most used characters that I'm so happy I pulled for. Baizhu fits in so many teams, I had loads of fun with burgeon and I can't wait to try him with Furina and maybe even Wriothesley, he makes so many teams insanely comfy.
Healers and supports always get shafted when they first release in alot of games. Then mechanics change and people act like they were down from the start. ....probably why so many of us healer players take pleasure in playing god
@@GLoLChibs It's very true, and you would think in Genshin, people would have learned from Kokomi where some of us pulled her and were like "Just wait and see, you're wrong, she's amazing" and she became one of the best characters in the game, Baizhu is getting a similar arch, everyone really acted like he was useless. The hyper focus on pure damage units is wild.
@mismismism They forget the golden rule- any support or healer can be turned into a damage dealer. Damage dealers can't be made into supports. You can still 36 star Abyss using Baizhu, Qiqi, Yaoyao, and Xingqui/Kuki on a team without ever having to worry about dying. Can't say the same if you take a team of DPS/sub-DPS with no support.

I still need a good argument to pull for him cuz I just don’t see his value beyond making my teams a little more comfy but even then he doesn’t beat kirara and Yao Yao’s dendro app and shield besides being both in one which is my only argument rn for getting him. Plus cloud retainer is coming out and she’s gonna be an anemo healer..I’ve been looking at so many videos and his trial and I’m still so conflicted I just don’t see a big enough reason to pull since I have Yao Yao and kirara but maybe I’m missing something
I've gotten baizhu during his first banner and has been on my team ever since. Yes he isn't a much pull but he is very comfy especially if you are building his buff at 50K hp. Your team can never die with him on it.
I'm pretty sure if you put Baizhu and Furina on a team, then picked the remaining two characters completely at random you'll come out with a viable team.
Baizhu at first glance is kinda easy to skip, but once you have him on the team, he's hard to let go. The comfort he brings is even more than Kokomi or Zhongli, definitely the best healer now

I love my Baizhu. Cheap and easy to build and play, useful in tons of teams, and looks good doing it. My favorite healer. The sassy snake rules too, Changseng. Overall a cutie with awesome support, he's one of my most played characters. I do not use his burst every rotation, I see it as more of a bonus on every other. *shrug* But I'm not a Spiral Abyss squatter, I often forget it even exists. Great video, Jello!

I’m not sure if you heard, but baizhus signature weapon is actually TTDS On a serious note I genuinely wouldn’t recommend pulling his weapon, it’s only marginally better than prototype amber & is pretty much *only* good for him so it’s kinda useless everywhere else If you’re a whale though ignore this since I doubt you’re short on primos if that’s the cass
I use prototype amber r5 on my baizhu and it's absolutely amazing, his signature 5 star is one of the worst in the game in terms of value, and furinas is arguably not great either Spending those primos on cons for furina would be so much more impactful!

1. He doesn’t eat up the electro aura and allows me to use Kazuha effectively in aggravate teams 2. He enables me to use both Alhaitham and Yelan in Nilou bloom teams for added massive single target damage. 3. Paired with Nahida, makes Burgeon Hutao extremely accessible to play and gives her team AOE damage 4. Can pretty much wear any support set you want him to: Deepwood, tenacity, noblesse, clam, instructor etc. (and potentially even the 4.3 healing buff set.) 5. Doesn’t eat up precious field time to Heal his team. 6. Teamwide healing is not burst dependent (attached to his skill instead of burst) 7. Natural synergy with Furina and her teams. He’s by far my favorite Sumeru character ever released so far. (My Kokomi, Yaoyao and Kirara have been gathering dust for the past few months now because of him lol)
baizhu is very underrated, his healing is extremely good and his lv 70 talent buff dmg from dendro related reactions will be very good for your dendro teams, his passive talents is extremely good for overworld exploration and won't be worry about healing like using kokomi's E, he has a good dendro application with his ult and his E has a decent dendro application. at first glance, he maybe an easy skip but once u started to invest into his kit and ability, it's not very easy to let go. The fandom overlooked him and he was overwhelmed by kokomi's and other healer but he's still good, trust me. You won't regretted it
Most people already have Kokomi, they don't really need and build another healer which is why Baizhu was very much ignored by the majority. I myself already am comfortable with Kokomi with the only healer on my team but I hope everyone who's pulling for Baizhu the best.

In any case, meta only matters if you mind extra 6-8 wishes per month, not worth getting characters for it. I'll go for Furina because she's like Fischl Archon, love her nutz personality.
Before Furina I'd say Baizhu was an easy skip. But with Furina he's absolutely top tier thanks to his teamwide heal not being tied to burst. Trust me, all those people saying Jean or Charlotte are better are coping. Relying on burst to heal feels so bad if you A. Burst at the end of an abyss chamber and have no energy to heal in the next chamber B. Are on cooldown and you need heals ASAP C. Are exploring overworld and need heals for your party members who are perpetually at 50% HP unless you want your Furina's damage to be neutered Also Baizhu's best weapon for supporting Furina being a f2p Prototype Amber which everyone and their mothers should have thanks to it being available since 1.0, and having a really easy build with just focus on HP/ER, he's simply superb. If you're a whale his C1/C2 are pretty broken, extra E for even more healing and particles, and any active attacking character can trigger a 20% weaker version of his E every 5 seconds without even needing to switch into Baizhu.
As a strictly off field healer, he is the best. Single target or teamwide healing? You only need to press his skill/burst once then switch out. Other healers demand circle impact or longer onfield time just to heal effectively.
From a Baizhu main, You would be a fool to avoid Baizhu whether or not you need Dendro app. That team wide skill healing is top tier. No energy requirement and a new skill charge every few seconds. If built well and crowned, he can do 15k heals to every character every few seconds. His shield is surprisingly really good despite being "weak". Baizhu changed my gameplay and I never use food. He carries my teams and I would personally recommend him.
As a baizhu main who got him to c3 today i love him so much. At c2 you can build him with tenacity of the mililith and keep the effect up almost indefinitely without ever switching to baizhu. His c2 also has synergy with furina as he can help mitigate the health drain from her skill entirely off field. Its hard to tell as im not an expert but i think his c2 also has a different icd for reactions from the rest of his kit allowing him to bloom much faster
YEAHHH Baizhu supremacy!!! Baizhu was my first ever healer and I was always shocked that no one really appreciated him when he dropped??? Man carries my squishy teams to this day.
I'm actually so glad that I got him instead of Alhaitham.. dendro catalyst and less skill needed to play! Very versatile and actually good for current hp changing meta
Ahh u say that cuz u don’t have Alhathiam. Literally best dps in game rn especially with baizhu. Baizhu easily replaced by Yao Yao or kirara. No one can replace alhathiam tho ❤
Nahida's awesome dendro application turns into a litteral pain when you need to vv shred another element. The application is too frequent for that, and the mark lasts way too long, so if the enemy is tanky you'll end up not being able to vv shred. I noticed this while playing aggravate keqing with nahida and kazuha and even more with Neuvilette burgeon. This is why I use collei with my Neuvilette: i have full control on when and where to apply dendro for the burning+burgeon reaction, while still being able to VV swirl hydro for the res shred. Baizhu sounds like a pretty good upgrade over collei in this scenario. He also sounds pretty dang good for my Alhaitham team.
Baizhu is my #1 defensive character in the game. I prefer healing to shielding and use him even over Zhongli. He's such a sleeper character. Keeping your team healthy with him is criminally easy. Just switch him in, hit his E, switch him out. Two seconds on field for teamwide heals, and you're already back to your dps. He works great with greedy on-fielders that want a lot of time. And with HP-eating characters like my Neuvillette. Baizhu was my first limited banner pull (which I felt silly for, since he's a healer), but I've not had any reason to regret that choice since, and he's carried just about every team I've brought anywhere.
Neuvi - Baizhu - Kazuha - Furina, 1 of my strongest team for abyss. I preferred Nahida on Alhaitham hyperbloom, finally Baizhu got his spot on my Neuvi team.

When you put interruptions in the videos to change the topic, I think would be good to also have a sound cue (maybe a character voice line, or just one or two chords of a song...). Imma try get him for my Tighnari, Nilou and Raiden. I thought about If it's maybe not worth it, but i just wanna play Ayato and Double Electro Tighnari needs someone to shield and proc the Dendro Set. Im just scared of His energy issues. Also for my alt Cyno that is. Technically even Yoimiya can use him. 😲🤔
3:50 i think it is not really a downgrade in terms of buff, nahida burst gives up to 250 EM while baizhu burst can give up to 80% dmg increase for quicken and bloom-related reactions like hyperbloom and burgeon, while up to 40% for aggravate and spread reactions.
I originally pulled him for my Qiqi so they could be friends in the overworld together. He ended up being better than expected. My main damage team now is.... Neuvillette, Raiden, Venti, Baizhu. No circle impact. Venti, Neuvillette, Baizhu, Raiden E being able to stay far from the enemy is so underrated imo. Such a fun team for me.
Baizhu has been my fave since I first met him in the MSQ. I still didn't expect to love using him as much as I do, he's seen more use than any of my other units. My abyss teams are pretty much always fighting over him. Excited to build him to be a driver eventually, hopefully they add artifact loadouts soon 🙏
He's even better if than you think: You can use the Maiden or Clam hat for healing and Flower (that increases healing 45% , and then pair him with someone using the Mileth set (my someone is Kuki). Round that out with Layla or Zhong Li and there is still room for an ADC/DPS (Yanfie, Jean, Shenhe or Wriothlsey [and if you have Layla, Shenhe picks up another 15% crit]).
As a Baizhu enjoyer, I'm just waiting for Furina now to complete my comp together with my Nahida and Shinobu 🤭. The buff that Furina can provide when Baizhu throws the snake for no reason will be so much fun imo.
Great guide! When I started playing again a few months ago (stopped playing right before 2.0), I had bad taste for Baizhu because (at least from what I remember from the last world quest in Liyue) his EN voice actor... just kind of sounds too exaggerated and his story didn't seem that interesting. Now that I've gotten deeper into the game and can appreciate comfort characters, I think I might try to let go of my initial biases and place him into my to-be Furina-Neuvillette team!
Baizhu gets the short end of the stick during release: -first appearance way during Liyue AQ and never got any major role in any quest. Even in his release he only get SQ -release after Yaoyao that was released during Lantern Rite so everyone pretty much guaranteed to get dendro healer without needing Baizhu
Well, I thought I was going to wish for Furina, until I did both trials…wound up pulling for Baizhu because he was so fun to play, and his voicelines cracked me up.
I recently got the Sacrificial Jade from the BP & having no other use for it gave it to Baizhu. While the crit is not needed, the passive of 32% HP boost means he enters the fray with 51K+ & 40 bonus EM isn't completely useless. Will be interesting to see how the values grow when I get round to refining the weapon.
Got C1 Baizhu, and ever since, he is irreplaceable as a healer and dendro unit. 12-13k heals per E, AND teamwide. He is so so underrated. Gets you through the entirety of Floor 12 with full hp don't eh whole team.
I got him C1 on accident upon release and I've used him constantly ever since. He makes any team you put him into so so comfortable it's bonkers how people just overlooked him. I dislike Nahida so he really saved my acc. I could never replace him with Yao Yao or Kirara because they have to be on-field both for healing and dendro application and you just end up building a team around them while Baizhu just fits anywhere you want him to be while providing a team-wide dendro reaction DMG buff which the 4* do not - also an overlooked part of his kit.
I've loved Baizhu since the day I got him. My main team he's on isn't face-melting, but it's comfy to play. I've never understood the dislike of his kit.
I absolutely love using him and I actually use him in my main team as an on-field dendro applicator for my Raiden/Zhongli/Baizhu/Xingqiu hyperbloom team (Zhongli for res shred and comfort of his shield, which gets rid of the problem of Baizhu needing to be in melee distance from the enemy). I am planning to pull for Nahida in the new banner that comes tomorrow (60 pity and guaranteed, so I know she will come home soon :D), so I will need to somehow shuffle things around and create two main teams around them.
As a Baizhu C1 haver (lost both C0 and C1), he’s the best healer. Just cast his E and the whole team will be healed. And his minor shield or more like interruption resisitance is so comfy too Additionally, his E doesn’t need to hit an enemy to heal. Just cast it literally.
Ive been a Baizhu main since i started in 3.6. No previous knowledge of the game or character and he is by far my favorite character. I have yelan, Neuv, Lyney, Zhongli, the fab 5, eula, venti, yoimiya etc and id pull for Baizhu first(if all were available )if i had to to start again
Baizhu has become my main healer. I use him in a comp with Keqing and Xiangling, with Wanderer as main DPS/exploration. When I pop Xiangling's burst, then Baizhu, and then Keqing's, it's just quickens, burns, and overloads all over the place!

I accidentally pulled for him when trying to build pity, got him at a mere 30 and beat 50/50. No regret now, since he actually is quite helpful in Abyss. Right after getting Baizhu, I tried to build pity again on Ganyu's banner, and once again got her at a mere 30 and beating 50/50. Really lucky that run.
i think the one that is holding him back is his dendro application, his Skill only hit only upto three and his burst hits only one (idk if it have a splash effect where closer enemy also hit) aside from that he is an excellent unit. He Heal, He shield, he buff and make your gameplay comfortable what else can you get
I'm have a C3 Baizhu. He's been very comfy for me. Trying to make him a DPS. When he comes back I'm going for a C6 and possibly get his weapon. When I'm done with him I'll get Furina
Boost his crit and attack for DPS. I had Widsth on him with 500 EM, 1500 atl, 53/197crit, 31k hp. His skill without reactions does about 15k per sprite and heals just under 8k so he never dies. Gets up to about 50-55k with his reaction buff
@anubiscorrin7559 If you're going to have him be the only Dendro, put Deepwood on him. If you're going DPS with another Dendro for rea, I have 4 piece Vourashka Glow on him but the new Golden Troupe works good too.
I accidently got him and Ganyu back then while build pity. I build him right away since I wanna do two teams for abyss and the only healer that I already built was Kuki. I would say I love playing Baizhu more in bloom team with Nahida, Yelan and Nilou. And he's f2p friendly too since we can use prototype amber on him. He stayed quite long in my main team, reaching friendship 10 already before I pulled Zhongli and start building a new team to include Zhongli in. Overall, I love Baizhu! You will not regret pulling him since he will make you playing your team in a very comfy way.
He doesn't ever leave my party. I saved a lot for him and got his c2.i wanna get his c4 one day to make him the best support. Although with furina coming, now isn't the time for that. Klee double hydro burgeon
I’ve been going back and forth trying to decide if I should pull for him and I’m pretty sure I’m now decided on going for it (depending on how pulling for Furina goes but I’m in a pretty good position).
I predicred he will be amazing with the hydro archon when he came out initialy. I am so happy I did that investment and lucky i got him C1 in a roll together. I am running him on 50k HP for the buff currently and he is so useful, definetly reccomend.
His C2 + Rightful Reward (Fontaine crafted spear) is an OP combo. Thoma Candace Yaoyao are already top pick party members for him. Also in aggravate (especially electro resonance) Sacrificial Jade is a top tier weapon. Energy not a big problem, you can push damage on him. The gain in damage stats outweighs the loss of energy as equivalent ER rolls. (If you’re using Raiden with him there’s no excuse to not build him with damage.) His signature is mainly only for his C6 (makes him regen energy from the shield his C6 adds to his C2) or R5 where it gives a lot of dendro damage. It’s good for bloom teams too. Otherwise, no. So just whale bait. You could also build him as a buff bot with Wandering Evenstar. Pure EM is suspect but the team buff stacks well if you have Evenstar on Nahida or Lisa or Yae.
wait haldawn ur cooking. Thoma with Rightful reward omg i've been lowkey thinking Kitain did nothing for my Wrio BurnMelt team since Thoma wasn't a burgeon carry does c2 baizhu heal whole team? if so it'd be amazing with rightful reward. if not, hmmm, some tricks and mechanics will have to be done.
@@chokeolatte Yup the whole team. R5 Rightful Reward is 16 energy every 10s and Thoma’s CD is 20s which bring his 80 cost down to 48. If you have his C4, down to 33. You can then pump damage or EM or shields.
I feel like you’re under rating thrilling tales for aggravate teams. He scales on HP and Fischl can snapshot the attack bonus. I think you’d want to throw down keqings skill, swirl with kazuha, get baizhu going, switch to Fischl, snapshot the boosts, then wreck house with keqing.
I got weirdly lucky with baizhu, so I have c1, and I've been using him incredibly often since release, Ive used him as an on field hyperbloom driver and it feels great to always have 100% hp across my team
You used some footage but didn't talk about it - what do you think of Cyno/Baizhu? In your Cyno video at the end you say something like "he would work really well with someone who can apply dendro, shield, and heal" so it seems like it would be a good match.
That’s his best single target team right now (Yelan nahida Baizhu). And he’s also by far part of the best AOE team for Cyno and actualllt makes quicken feel good with Cyno fischl Kazuha Baizhu

What I most like about Baizhu: he is the only healer that can heal the WHOLE team without needing ER. it just press E and done!
That's something most naysayers are neglecting to mention when pushing their YaoYao agenda.
Only dendro healer, there's other mass healing in other elements, especially Barbara.

A correction. His skill doesn't need to hit an enemy to heal. It needs to hit something (actually it doesnt). If you need faster healing, aim at a wall.
I've been saying he is the best healer since his release and the comments I got on my vids were mostly negative. People who don't have Baizhu have no idea how comfortable he is. Is he 'replaceable', maybe... but everyone is. C2 is pretty good if you main Cyno, you'll always have dendro application during Cyno's burst.
Actually, his skill doesn't need to hit anything at all. His skill passes through the wall. As long as you use his skill, he'll heal when the snake comes back.
@@xiaol0ngbao True, it doesn't need to hit anything, but it also doest pass through walls in my experience. If you use his skill in an open area without enemies it will take about 2 seconds to return. If you are in the abyss (or in an enclosed area) and you aim towards the invisible wall, it will almost automatically heal you as it returns faster.
Needing C2 just for something as simple as decent dendro application is not a good sign of a good character.

@@giuba98 ITS REALLY NOT LOL. If he’s not on field in like a nilou bloom team, the application from his skill and burst is absolutely horrendous. The fact that they don’t apply dendro that much on top of the fact they are single target makes it so his elemental application sucks. In early abyss floors where there are like 6-10 enemies at a time, his dendro application off field is not enough for teams like cyno and you will need another dendro unit like nahida. Even in best case scenario where his burst and skill hits every target once, it will only apply one instance of dendro which is not enough for a cyno quickbloom team.
Pulled for him back then to complete my Keqing aggravate team, and the good doctor has been totally worth it. He carried my team when I was fighting that Vivianne boss, and because of that I'm seriously considering on giving him two crowns.

I also 36 star abyss the first time with him in a broken hyperbloom team. Half the characters were only half build.
Hp deepwood on field baizhu with sac frag, EM raiden with lvl 60 dragonsbane and 2 4 Guilded dreams. A jade cutter emblem water sword boi and a totally non build mona purely for some extra ER for Xingqui + hydro resonance so that baizhu did hit almost 50.000 hp.

I missed getting him the first time. I now have ~220 wishes saved to get him and Furina. I’m short of the 360 guaranteed (assuming I need to hit hard pity 4 times, and lose both 50/50)

What what Kaveh got destroyed He absolutely got covered. In fact He was so broken, He caused some glitches literally destroying gamestates to the point the Account was unplayable. That's funny.
Baizhu is definitely top tier healer support. No circle impact, one tap heal all, damage buffing, resistance interruption, and constant off-field elemental application. Been interested in him since his first appearance in Liyue that's why I saved specifically for him when he got released. No regrets at all. He's so comfortable to use wherever you take him be it overworld or abyss. Love him so much. ♥

As a Baizhu dps player since his release he has an interesting detail in his kit, that is the double charged attack (consumes one's stamina and requires practice to use it consistently) with Neuvillette weapon and atk build, highly recommended.

Ok, so I tried out Baizhu DPS is it's actually really fun. I'm still new to his move set, but it think it'd feel really nice to get good at.
Neuvillette's weapon gives HP, Crt DMg, atk. 3 things DPS Baizhu loves. I pulled a second Tome so Neuvi and Baizhu could both have one. DPS Baizhu is an immortal tank.
Between Kokomi and then Baizhu, I'm 2 for 2 pulling healers that got so much hate that are 2 of my most used characters that I'm so happy I pulled for. Baizhu fits in so many teams, I had loads of fun with burgeon and I can't wait to try him with Furina and maybe even Wriothesley, he makes so many teams insanely comfy.
Healers and supports always get shafted when they first release in alot of games. Then mechanics change and people act like they were down from the start.
....probably why so many of us healer players take pleasure in playing god
@@GLoLChibs It's very true, and you would think in Genshin, people would have learned from Kokomi where some of us pulled her and were like "Just wait and see, you're wrong, she's amazing" and she became one of the best characters in the game, Baizhu is getting a similar arch, everyone really acted like he was useless. @mismismism They forget the golden rule- any support or healer can be turned into a damage dealer. Damage dealers can't be made into supports.
You can still 36 star Abyss using Baizhu, Qiqi, Yaoyao, and Xingqui/Kuki on a team without ever having to worry about dying. Can't say the same if you take a team of DPS/sub-DPS with no support.

I've gotten baizhu during his first banner and has been on my team ever since. Yes he isn't a much pull but he is very comfy especially if you are building his buff at 50K hp. Your team can never die with him on it.
I have him at 54k hp and cleared my first abyss with him (didn't get 36 stars, but progress)
I'm pretty sure if you put Baizhu and Furina on a team, then picked the remaining two characters completely at random you'll come out with a viable team.

Baizhu at first glance is kinda easy to skip, but once you have him on the team, he's hard to let go. The comfort he brings is even more than Kokomi or Zhongli, definitely the best healer now

I love my Baizhu. Cheap and easy to build and play, useful in tons of teams, and looks good doing it. My favorite healer. The sassy snake rules too, Changseng. Overall a cutie with awesome support, he's one of my most played characters. I do not use his burst every rotation, I see it as more of a bonus on every other. *shrug* But I'm not a Spiral Abyss squatter, I often forget it even exists. Great video, Jello!

I use prototype amber r5 on my baizhu and it's absolutely amazing, his signature 5 star is one of the worst in the game in terms of value, and furinas is arguably not great either
Spending those primos on cons for furina would be so much more impactful!

baizhu is very underrated, his healing is extremely good and his lv 70 talent buff dmg from dendro related reactions will be very good for your dendro teams, his passive talents is extremely good for overworld exploration and won't be worry about healing like using kokomi's E, he has a good dendro application with his ult and his E has a decent dendro application. at first glance, he maybe an easy skip but once u started to invest into his kit and ability, it's not very easy to let go. The fandom overlooked him and he was overwhelmed by kokomi's and other healer but he's still good, trust me. You won't regretted it
In my opinion Kokomi is still a lot more niche. baizhu beeing dendro alone makes him quite a lot better.
Most people already have Kokomi, they don't really need and build another healer which is why Baizhu was very much ignored by the majority. I myself already am comfortable with Kokomi with the only healer on my team but I hope everyone who's pulling for Baizhu the best.

Before Furina I'd say Baizhu was an easy skip. But with Furina he's absolutely top tier thanks to his teamwide heal not being tied to burst. Trust me, all those people saying Jean or Charlotte are better are coping. Relying on burst to heal feels so bad if you
A. Burst at the end of an abyss chamber and have no energy to heal in the next chamber
B. Are on cooldown and you need heals ASAP
C. Are exploring overworld and need heals for your party members who are perpetually at 50% HP unless you want your Furina's damage to be neutered
Also Baizhu's best weapon for supporting Furina being a f2p Prototype Amber which everyone and their mothers should have thanks to it being available since 1.0, and having a really easy build with just focus on HP/ER, he's simply superb. If you're a whale his C1/C2 are pretty broken, extra E for even more healing and particles, and any active attacking character can trigger a 20% weaker version of his E every 5 seconds without even needing to switch into Baizhu.
I love my Baizhu, very easy to build, goes in every team and heals everyone at once by a lot and very fast

As a strictly off field healer, he is the best. Single target or teamwide healing? You only need to press his skill/burst once then switch out. Other healers demand circle impact or longer onfield time just to heal effectively.

From a Baizhu main,
You would be a fool to avoid Baizhu whether or not you need Dendro app. That team wide skill healing is top tier. No energy requirement and a new skill charge every few seconds. If built well and crowned, he can do 15k heals to every character every few seconds. His shield is surprisingly really good despite being "weak". Baizhu changed my gameplay and I never use food. He carries my teams and I would personally recommend him.
Also, his C1 doubles his skill healing charge. Super good
I also have him on C2 and he's really really good, he made my Nahida stronger. I'm considering to pull for his c4 but I have to pull Furina for him 🥲.
I think people willingly ignore his shield isn't meant for damage mitigation but for interruption resistance.
As a baizhu main who got him to c3 today i love him so much. At c2 you can build him with tenacity of the mililith and keep the effect up almost indefinitely without ever switching to baizhu.
His c2 also has synergy with furina as he can help mitigate the health drain from her skill entirely off field.
Its hard to tell as im not an expert but i think his c2 also has a different icd for reactions from the rest of his kit allowing him to bloom much faster

Nahida's awesome dendro application turns into a litteral pain when you need to vv shred another element. The application is too frequent for that, and the mark lasts way too long, so if the enemy is tanky you'll end up not being able to vv shred. I noticed this while playing aggravate keqing with nahida and kazuha and even more with Neuvilette burgeon. This is why I use collei with my Neuvilette: i have full control on when and where to apply dendro for the burning+burgeon reaction, while still being able to VV swirl hydro for the res shred.
Baizhu sounds like a pretty good upgrade over collei in this scenario. He also sounds pretty dang good for my Alhaitham team.
I accidentally pulled him just after getting furina. So now i will build him.
Baizhu is my #1 defensive character in the game. I prefer healing to shielding and use him even over Zhongli. He's such a sleeper character. Keeping your team healthy with him is criminally easy. Just switch him in, hit his E, switch him out. Two seconds on field for teamwide heals, and you're already back to your dps. He works great with greedy on-fielders that want a lot of time. And with HP-eating characters like my Neuvillette. Baizhu was my first limited banner pull (which I felt silly for, since he's a healer), but I've not had any reason to regret that choice since, and he's carried just about every team I've brought anywhere.

I got this guy randomly and didn't bother building him until recently. He's a very nice unit
3:50 i think it is not really a downgrade in terms of buff, nahida burst gives up to 250 EM while baizhu burst can give up to 80% dmg increase for quicken and bloom-related reactions like hyperbloom and burgeon, while up to 40% for aggravate and spread reactions.

I originally pulled him for my Qiqi so they could be friends in the overworld together. He ended up being better than expected. My main damage team now is.... Neuvillette, Raiden, Venti, Baizhu. No circle impact. Venti, Neuvillette, Baizhu, Raiden E being able to stay far from the enemy is so underrated imo. Such a fun team for me.

Baizhu has been my fave since I first met him in the MSQ. I still didn't expect to love using him as much as I do, he's seen more use than any of my other units. My abyss teams are pretty much always fighting over him.
Excited to build him to be a driver eventually, hopefully they add artifact loadouts soon 🙏
Baizhu made me bench Zhongli which I never expected since he's irreplaceable for about 2 years
He's even better if than you think: You can use the Maiden or Clam hat for healing and Flower (that increases healing 45% , and then pair him with someone using the Mileth set (my someone is Kuki). Round that out with Layla or Zhong Li and there is still room for an ADC/DPS (Yanfie, Jean, Shenhe or Wriothlsey [and if you have Layla, Shenhe picks up another 15% crit]).
He’s been in my team since pulling him. Kazuha is the only other character on my roster I’ve not heavily experimented with replacing
As a Baizhu enjoyer, I'm just waiting for Furina now to complete my comp together with my Nahida and Shinobu 🤭. The buff that Furina can provide when Baizhu throws the snake for no reason will be so much fun imo.

Great guide! When I started playing again a few months ago (stopped playing right before 2.0), I had bad taste for Baizhu because (at least from what I remember from the last world quest in Liyue) his EN voice actor... just kind of sounds too exaggerated and his story didn't seem that interesting. Now that I've gotten deeper into the game and can appreciate comfort characters, I think I might try to let go of my initial biases and place him into my to-be Furina-Neuvillette team!
because of baizhu I can play miko and shogun in a team without overloading (bennet benched in this team)
Baizhu gets the short end of the stick during release:
-first appearance way during Liyue AQ and never got any major role in any quest. Even in his release he only get SQ
-release after Yaoyao that was released during Lantern Rite so everyone pretty much guaranteed to get dendro healer without needing Baizhu
Well, I thought I was going to wish for Furina, until I did both trials…wound up pulling for Baizhu because he was so fun to play, and his voicelines cracked me up.
I recently got the Sacrificial Jade from the BP & having no other use for it gave it to Baizhu. While the crit is not needed, the passive of 32% HP boost means he enters the fray with 51K+ & 40 bonus EM isn't completely useless. Will be interesting to see how the values grow when I get round to refining the weapon.
Pulling him over Furina. Fits into my teams better and Furina will rerun soon anyway.
Got C1 Baizhu, and ever since, he is irreplaceable as a healer and dendro unit. 12-13k heals per E, AND teamwide. He is so so underrated. Gets you through the entirety of Floor 12 with full hp don't eh whole team.
I got him C1 on accident upon release and I've used him constantly ever since. He makes any team you put him into so so comfortable it's bonkers how people just overlooked him. I dislike Nahida so he really saved my acc. I could never replace him with Yao Yao or Kirara because they have to be on-field both for healing and dendro application and you just end up building a team around them while Baizhu just fits anywhere you want him to be while providing a team-wide dendro reaction DMG buff which the 4* do not - also an overlooked part of his kit.
I've loved Baizhu since the day I got him. My main team he's on isn't face-melting, but it's comfy to play. I've never understood the dislike of his kit.
I absolutely love using him and I actually use him in my main team as an on-field dendro applicator for my Raiden/Zhongli/Baizhu/Xingqiu hyperbloom team (Zhongli for res shred and comfort of his shield, which gets rid of the problem of Baizhu needing to be in melee distance from the enemy).
I am planning to pull for Nahida in the new banner that comes tomorrow (60 pity and guaranteed, so I know she will come home soon :D), so I will need to somehow shuffle things around and create two main teams around them.
Baizhu works well with Harbinger of Dawn Alhaitham. I can't get below 90%. I can keep this all day until I get his best in slot.
As a Baizhu C1 haver (lost both C0 and C1), he’s the best healer. Just cast his E and the whole team will be healed. And his minor shield or more like interruption resisitance is so comfy too
Additionally, his E doesn’t need to hit an enemy to heal. Just cast it literally.
Ive been a Baizhu main since i started in 3.6. No previous knowledge of the game or character and he is by far my favorite character. I have yelan, Neuv, Lyney, Zhongli, the fab 5, eula, venti, yoimiya etc and id pull for Baizhu first(if all were available )if i had to to start again
Baizhu has become my main healer. I use him in a comp with Keqing and Xiangling, with Wanderer as main DPS/exploration. When I pop Xiangling's burst, then Baizhu, and then Keqing's, it's just quickens, burns, and overloads all over the place!

Soon as I saw his kit and how close he released to Fontaine, I knew our Dendro husbando was going to be good for Fontaine mechanics
I accidentally pulled for him when trying to build pity, got him at a mere 30 and beat 50/50. No regret now, since he actually is quite helpful in Abyss.
Right after getting Baizhu, I tried to build pity again on Ganyu's banner, and once again got her at a mere 30 and beating 50/50. Really lucky that run.
i think the one that is holding him back is his dendro application, his Skill only hit only upto three and his burst hits only one (idk if it have a splash effect where closer enemy also hit) aside from that he is an excellent unit. He Heal, He shield, he buff and make your gameplay comfortable what else can you get
I'm have a C3 Baizhu. He's been very comfy for me. Trying to make him a DPS. When he comes back I'm going for a C6 and possibly get his weapon. When I'm done with him I'll get Furina
Boost his crit and attack for DPS. I had Widsth on him with 500 EM, 1500 atl, 53/197crit, 31k hp.
His skill without reactions does about 15k per sprite and heals just under 8k so he never dies. Gets up to about 50-55k with his reaction buff

@anubiscorrin7559 If you're going to have him be the only Dendro, put Deepwood on him. If you're going DPS with another Dendro for rea, I have 4 piece Vourashka Glow on him but the new Golden Troupe works good too.

I... just got him in a single pull... at 6 pity after getting Furina at 5 pity... I'm at a lost for words
I accidently got him and Ganyu back then while build pity. I build him right away since I wanna do two teams for abyss and the only healer that I already built was Kuki. I would say I love playing Baizhu more in bloom team with Nahida, Yelan and Nilou. And he's f2p friendly too since we can use prototype amber on him. He stayed quite long in my main team, reaching friendship 10 already before I pulled Zhongli and start building a new team to include Zhongli in.
Overall, I love Baizhu! You will not regret pulling him since he will make you playing your team in a very comfy way.
He doesn't ever leave my party. I saved a lot for him and got his c2.i wanna get his c4 one day to make him the best support. Although with furina coming, now isn't the time for that. Klee double hydro burgeon
I’ve been going back and forth trying to decide if I should pull for him and I’m pretty sure I’m now decided on going for it (depending on how pulling for Furina goes but I’m in a pretty good position).
I'm a simple gal: Baizhu is beautiful and green and snek. How could I not have pulled for him?
I predicred he will be amazing with the hydro archon when he came out initialy. I am so happy I did that investment and lucky i got him C1 in a roll together. I am running him on 50k HP for the buff currently and he is so useful, definetly reccomend.
Orz going for furina, then hopefully baizhu's weapon. Pray for me. 36 wishes and a dream (but also 60 pity 😂)
I kinda wanna get him for Tighnari. I'm currently using yaoyao, fishcl, keqing. But the minor shield is definitely good for tighnari

With the upcoming new artifact set that will convert overhealing to buffs his value is gonna skyrocket.

His C2 + Rightful Reward (Fontaine crafted spear) is an OP combo. Thoma Candace Yaoyao are already top pick party members for him.
Also in aggravate (especially electro resonance) Sacrificial Jade is a top tier weapon. Energy not a big problem, you can push damage on him. The gain in damage stats outweighs the loss of energy as equivalent ER rolls. (If you’re using Raiden with him there’s no excuse to not build him with damage.)
His signature is mainly only for his C6 (makes him regen energy from the shield his C6 adds to his C2) or R5 where it gives a lot of dendro damage. It’s good for bloom teams too. Otherwise, no. So just whale bait.
You could also build him as a buff bot with Wandering Evenstar. Pure EM is suspect but the team buff stacks well if you have Evenstar on Nahida or Lisa or Yae.

does c2 baizhu heal whole team? if so it'd be amazing with rightful reward. if not, hmmm, some tricks and mechanics will have to be done.

R5 Rightful Reward is 16 energy every 10s and Thoma’s CD is 20s which bring his 80 cost down to 48. If you have his C4, down to 33. You can then pump damage or EM or shields.
I feel like you’re under rating thrilling tales for aggravate teams. He scales on HP and Fischl can snapshot the attack bonus. I think you’d want to throw down keqings skill, swirl with kazuha, get baizhu going, switch to Fischl, snapshot the boosts, then wreck house with keqing.
I got weirdly lucky with baizhu, so I have c1, and I've been using him incredibly often since release, Ive used him as an on field hyperbloom driver and it feels great to always have 100% hp across my team
You used some footage but didn't talk about it - what do you think of Cyno/Baizhu? In your Cyno video at the end you say something like "he would work really well with someone who can apply dendro, shield, and heal" so it seems like it would be a good match.
That’s his best single target team right now (Yelan nahida Baizhu). And he’s also by far part of the best AOE team for Cyno and actualllt makes quicken feel good with Cyno fischl Kazuha Baizhu
Overall I do recommend Baizhu for Cyno
