I love all of the song clips from Kurt on this documentary because it’s all so raw and that’s powerful to me. I love how amazing it all is. The flaws, the way the old recording sounds, the way his voice cracks. I listen to all of the songs demos because I love all of that energy. I don’t want to always be listening to pretty studio recordings. Actually all of that is why Hairspray Queen is my favorite song by Nirvana, it has that imperfection to it that makes it so beautiful. The way Kurt yelled, the way his voice was cracking, the way you couldn’t even understand what he was saying. God it’s all so beautiful, I love it!

It's not a true story lol. Kurt liked to make up dark stuff for his journals bc it kept him entertained. I'm sure some of it's true (like his dissatisfaction with his stepmom & being shuffled around from household to household, his general boredom & isolation) but a lot of it (like that story about the girl) isn't. Although Kurt was funny & bright, he also had a pretty well-known fascination with the dark & morbid. Not much to do in Aberdeen really
Everyone uses me for food. Because I have energy issues I need the extra food but all because I can’t say no I starve myself every day and almost get myself sick. Some people like to take advantage of me and some people are really nice.
Say what you wants about him, he was the quentessential genX, going trough the divorce and the family disputes, having the sensation of insuffisance and to be a failure, the culpability, feeling inadequate, these are the thing many of us shared, the unemployement was at all time high in the early 90s and there was a linenup for mediocre low paying hard job, the interests rates were through the roof, and the future seems so bleak for many of us, that's why he resonate so much with us and still doing so for the younger generation, there was an untammed anger in us and we didn't knew what to with it. just look at what happened in woodstock 1995 and 1999 you'll see what I mean. I was there. Sorry for bad english, it's not my language.

Then I watched it again but stopped where Kurt was looking up at the ceiling where it looks like he was looking at the stars and cosmos. I also had a dream where I was talking to Kurt on the roof only he was calm, didn't felt like jumping off and we were becoming good friends.
I had a dream Kurt was at My 17th Birthday party, he sat on a chair with his legs crossed on the table with a cigarette in his hand blowing the smoke out, he just chilled there. Then another dream where Kurt teaches me to play guitar, he said "don't play like me, play like you", he had a half serious half happy smile on his face.
@@Davidthepopocultureking07 Those dreams sound good and cool. Kurt being calm and at your 17th birthday, then telling you to play the guitar your own way while teaching you. 🙂 In my own opinion, these dreams are how we want Kurt's life to be instead of a tragic one. Like having a true friend to talk to instead of people who are your so-called "friends". Then he's sharing his talent to people as an inspiration but not to copy off from.
