I got a 1991 f350 single cab flat bed 5 speed. It’s been swapped with a sleeved and rebuilt 7.3 idi turbo . New turbo all the goodies (no power upgrades just rebuild ) What simple things can I do to increase power?
I just did a quick add up on the "mods" and it is somewhere around $7700. Not including seals, gaskets, intercooler piping, or any of the other stuff. This was the stuff I added up: R&D 90 CC injection pump, R&D stage one injectors, ARP Headstuds, R&D turbo camshaft, billet return rails, southbend clutch stage 2, R&D intake manifold, R&D 3 inch downpipe, R&D E-Fuel, mechanical lift pump bypass, Borg Warner S261 turbo (from Justin), 6.0 intercooler and 3 inch piping, R&D hot side turbo kit, 910 Comp Cam valve springs (7.3 PSD)
Some people say they withstand 25 just fine, most recommend staying under 15. If you’re referring to that crew cab two time with the Banks kit, I want that thing 😂
I got a 92 7.3 IDI with a Garrett Turbo is that the same air filter online that's on yours yours I sure hope you see this. It's a van just bought this thing and I'm 77 Vietnam veteran Marine Corps
Sorry I'm late replying! My air filter is strictly two 90* bend intercooler pipes with a K&N filter for a 24 valve Cummins. Yours most likely isn't going to be the same because the turbo is going to be positioned differently.
That's badass
Nice build bud!
Beautiful 👏🏼 is this up
To the power and performance of a stock 7.3 powerstroke ?
Little more, should be about equivalent to a 6.0 stock power level.
Need a driving video!

Basically the turbo, and turning up the injection pump a couple flats (watch EGTs) if you’re not doing any engine upgrades.
I’ve been waiting months for a drive video
Unfortunately, it needs to come back apart now. High blow by, and rough starts. I think the compression is low across the board, but it will be back!
Cant wait to see it rip
Thanks for the inspiration.
Just curious what your total cost is for engine mods?

I have a 7.3 idi how much boost do you think I can put through it until Head studs
All of it
15 is the max u can run on head bolts, 10-13 is generally where u wanna be. 20+ is where u want studs
