ESI checks are a standard part of nearly every alliance's counterintelligence toolkit, Horde is the exception, which doesn't mandate them for all members. ESI checks before joining an alliance are valuable, filtering out low-effort or poorly crafted spies. While they may not catch all, other tools supplement this process. Weekly ESI checks aren't necessary; suspicions prompt further investigation, utilizing ESI alongside other factors like zkill or in-game observation. Perfect camouflage is rare, people are lazy and like to cut corners, and that's where the fine tooth combed search through someone's ESI is important. Joining an alliance entails mutual trust: they trust you're not a spy, and you trust them with your in-game information.

Hi! Another great video! API checks are absolutely useless because the methods listed in this video and because of the two following things: 1.) Most spying happens in real time with cloning discord servers. Alliance A. plant an agent into alliance B. The spy has clean records anyway so API check is totally useless. Spy is joining to corp and ally discord. The spy then give access to his DC account to a 3rd party (a bot). The bot now will clone every single fleet ping and information from that DC server to another DC server. The spy will not even have to do any suspicious thing at all just plays the game and get paid for being an agent. 2.) API checks are useless cause if sensitive information is leaked the agent is paid with RL money instead of ISK.... If the player wants isk than he can just buy plex and sell it on market without suspicion. API check is a relic of the past and totally useless like a windows firewall. It's still in use because of players who wants to feel important by overcomplicating the life in their own groups and because of the general sheep mentality. The best defense against spies is a compact and more active leadership.
They treat me very well, no influence. Very PvP-focused, clear, and well-structured. I like it. But tbh - the IT systems seem quite old, it feels like you're back in the early 90s. 😄 Missing standing fleet a bit, you know avoid that 1DQ losses...
I cracked up a bit when gobbins called his fleet 100 strangers. I know of half the people in goons fleets. Might be that goons have a high retention of players
I believe the average time players stay in an alliance/corporation is significantly higher inside Goons vs Horde, possibly due to Horde's basic corporation being free to all. When you go through the background checks, it seems that the willingness to stay in a corporation is greater. What you think?
That is, of course, a very good question. I think with the larger alliances, it's about building trust, rising to management key positions, and then stealing the assets. That's btw what you read about in the newspapers. I believe alliances always have spies placed in other alliances, but they won't pay anything for it if you offer your service :-) But if you have a key role like as a leader, maybe they will :-) However, you can also just go as a spy into a 0.0 PVE System... You warp cloaked into a combat site where your corp mate do pve. He won't leave the system because you're in the same corp, means space is blue to him..🙂. Your main then jumps in and insta warp to tackle and kill your corp mate...its your loot. Most of the 0.0 pve ships are shiny :-) BTW: Before that, you are for sure in a fleet with your alt as a spy. Make sure your alt does stys cloaked
Its easy like that: If nobody was willing to share their APIs, they'd just stop asking for it. No one would join. It's kind of amusing to see how folks are totally fine with getting themselves checked just to catch a flight somewhere in null.
