We packed 13 suitcases and moved to South America in August. I had to make some tough decisions on what was needed for our new life. Ms Lori your cookbook came with as well as my pans, butter churn ,canning supplies. Now I have to figure out this high altitude baking. Love you and your recipes!💕

Where are you living? I lived in Cerro De Pasco, altitude 14,000 feet above sea level. I remember at times the pressure of opening a jar would send the contents up in the air. My mom managed to bake cakes and bread. At that time, no grocery stores, we had to buy from the locals. It was fun. We lived there 3 years. My dad was an accountant for mining company. We lived in a compound and today one required special permission to stay there. One hotel back then run by Mr. Fritz.

Pullman Pan Tips: I chose the the smaller and have 2. Since it’s just hubby and me now, I can make a smaller loaf OR make two if we have company or to share (which is normally what I do).
Also, these two pans will fit in my countertop convection oven so I don’t have to heat my house with the big oven (living in Florida - that sure helps!).
Also - if you’re new to Pullmans, I once saw on a video that someone didn’t realize that Pullmans have holes in the bottom and poured a cake batter into it!!!😮
Wonderful video Mrs. Lori!! Love y’all and….
    Sending Blessings!!

Well, who knew that brioche bread was such a labor of love? ❤ This was one of your best, my friend! 👏🍞🎥🏆Although it took some time to explain each step and how it differs from the bread baking we are all accustomed to, it was worth every minute... not only for some good solid instruction, but so much comic relief along the way! 😅 First there was the rogue egg yolk that refused to comply (it reminded me of a little orange hamster on a wheel going around and around in there. I was SO happy when you turned the thing off and busted it yourself...it was driving me nuts!) Then there was the constant little ditty from the alarm...and the image of Mr. Brown (just possibly) doing circles around it on the tractor having some fun with you. But the grand finale with the slightly over-risen dough topped it all! When you started squishing that bread in there you looked like the prince trying to squeeze that glass slipper onto the foot of Cinderella's stepsister! 😅
All funnin' aside, this bread looks delicious! Like y'all, our favorite piece is that first one, hot out of the oven, with a gracious pat of real butter...and the best French toast ever the next morning. Thanks for a superb tutorial! 💗XO💗 mw

That's as fine a loaf of bread as I have ever seen, Miss Lorie! Julia Child used a pan like that in one of her early programs, and I am grateful to you for letting me know what it's called. I've made bread for decades, and we still eat about half a loaf the minute it comes out of the oven, even after all these years. Brilliant tutorial, ma'am, and bless you for leaving in the panicked packing. It was hilarious and heartwarming. We've all been there, and those are the stories we love to tell! ,❤️

Your bread making lessons have taught me alot and this one was a surprise, brioche! I challenged myself a couple years ago to make a light Rye bread. I finally achieved it with the help of a bread machine because of my arthritis. Hips, back and hands. And wrist pins in right wrist from falling. Pain and I are best friends, lol. But I have wanted to recommend to you wearing "compression gloves" at night or even daytime for your hands. Just a few hours will give relief and support your wearing out joints. And be good to go again. I have been using them for years and I am a quilter so really need my hands to work. Leftover homemade bread makes the best French toast, yum.

I am a quilter also and I garden, preserve, can, and use my hands probably too much. I appreciate the recommendation and your comment.

    That's a beautiful loaf of bread 🥰
I have thoroughly enjoyed this video, and may have to give this a try. I love baking breads, and have even developed my own recipe for a potato bread. I have allergies so baking my own is a great way to avoid issues with some ingredients.
I so enjoy your videos Miss Lori, and they're so relaxing to listen to. Thank you so much for sharing your time and talent ❤️

I absolutely love brioche and thought I didn't had the skills to make it; thank you Miss Lorie for showing me the tips and techniques so I can! We had a local baker who baked only brioche and croissants fresh daily but closed her store 2 years ago due to her pregnancy and hasn't re-opened. I thought the only brioche I could get was at Walmart; it's okay but not the same as fresh baked. I am ordering the Pullman pan today and a bread slicer too. I dusted off my bread machine and have been making more bread and just cant cut a straight line.😉 I have to say that the best parts were when the butter refused to mix in but you sure showed it who's boss and the "bread pan lid".... its nice to know that I'm not the only one that does stuff like that. But THE BEST part was when the alarm kept going off ; I was laughing so hard that Mr. Man had to come in to see what was going on. 😂 You have a blessed week and as always, lots of love to you and Mr. Brown!❤️

I have the smaller Pullman loaf pan. The Rada bread knife I've had for about 20 yrs and keep a watchful eye on it so it doesn't grow legs lol. Now I need to get the slicer thingy.

Thank you Miss Lori. 🙂 Beautiful loaf!😍
I've found I really like the egg and butter in my regular bread but brioche is over the top! Yum!One of the things I really like about a Pullman loaf pan is the square sides. Lined with parchment, it also makes a great soap mold.😄
    Love and blessings!💜

This looks so good.i eas at a festival in SC today and your name a lot of women were talking about you. I told a lot of your recipes. And all you simply explained to help me get back into canning. I said your peach preserves with the red hots was one of my favorite. Now I'll have to bake this to put the preserves on. Thank you so much Mrs.. Lori. God bless

I bought bulk yeast and stored it in the freezer, it's been at least 20 years ago and still good. Even going through several moves.
