I thought there was no such thing as a free lunch? Where are they supposed to get the money to pay for things that property taxes usually pay for? If we don't pay property tax, they'll just send you a bill in the mail to cover expenses usually paid for by property tax, and in that scenario, it won't be rate based, it will be a set amount that is evenly divided, which means you'll end up paying more. In fact let's get rid of all taxes, the moment people realize they need to pay for stuff that was usually funded by taxes, and realize they'll be paying more, they'll beg to get taxes back on. We just got rid of property taxes everyone! So from now on we'll be sending a $10,000 bill to cover funding for schools per student, yay! And on and on and on.

@@igotanimac1 70% of my property tax goes to public schools that are nothing but expensive day-care centers. They indoctrinate children while their parents sit at home on Twitter or play video games. It wouldn't be so bad if the young people I see could at least read, write, and perform arithmetic.
Your submission above covers 6 of the 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto.
      -------------------------
      1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rents of land to public purposes.
      2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
      3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
      5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
      6. Centralization of the means of communications and transportation in the hands of the State.
      10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.
      --------------------------
As a 60 year old man with no children, who has been raped by taxation to (not) educate other's children .. I appreciate your respectful well written comment (although I disagree).

Be careful, if you don't pay, they will eventually sell your property in a tax sale.

Cities in Texas have been raking it in as property values increase
    But it’s never enough
The rate cut should be much larger than it will be

Thank God , property taxes in San Antonio are ridiculous , I don't understand why we pay taxes on a house and property we paid for 20 to 30 years , the state of Texas is sucking us dry taxes taxes and more taxes , maybe if Greg Abbott would legalize cannibus Texas would get major tax revenues coming in , like Colorado brought in 14.8 billion in state tax revenues (🤔)
