Ive heard his name around with young hollywood blogs and remember him from those teen shows but i mostly seen him from carrie diaries. I think he's better off doing movies. I really admire him bec he had alot of shortcomings when it comes to gigs & everyone can relate to that but i can see his charisma, charm and acting style. Seeing him as Elvis was fantastic.
I remember Austin Butler from his appearances in iCarly and Zoey 101 like 15 years ago. It’s great that he’s now a movie star thanks to the Elvis Movie and Baz Luhrmann.
Yes me too, and then I also watched the sharpay movie when I was little and the Cary diaries when I was in middle school and it’s just crazy to see how far he’s come from those roles to this
His portrayal of Elvis has already won over the Elvis fans and we’re the most critical fan base of all with an ability to spot an imposter a mile away. Since he’s already got us on his side, he will be able to handle any other role as successfully playing Elvis Presley to his family and fans is one of the most difficult things any actor could be asked to do and even more difficult to actually do it. Butler has a great career ahead of him.
Let's not forget that Elvis' ex-wife, daughter and granddaughter literally praised him to the roof. When it comes to biopics like this, I tend to be on the side of the family or anyone who has worked very close to him instead of the critics or audiences and if Priscilla, Lisa Marie and Riley Keough, these people who are related to Elvis praised his performance endlessly, you know he did a damn good job
@@Erasureeraser I would normally agree but it’s taken 45 years and countless TV movies to get an actor not only able to do the role in a respectful manner but move in a manner that had no source of a practiced dance routine and is a man who is moving around in such a spontaneous manner that the thought has to slow down the tempo of hound dog literally happens on stage. It’s been done so many times and to no real level of being an actor trying to do the Elvis and I have been nervous since I heard that the Tom Hanks movie shutdown bc of Covid was the Elvis movie. Also, I have found that Elvis is the best one to do Hound Dog or Kentucky Rain. Why waste time with a copy when the real deal is available? I wasn’t taking anyone’s word that they finally did it right.
I know him from every Disney and Nickelodeon shows especially iCandy and Zoey 101. That’s where I remember Austin from is Ned’s Declassified. As a 2000s kid, he was apart of my childhood.
Same but honestly I mostly known his face, not his name when he was in Nick, so when he was announced as Elvis I was like "wait have I seen that guy before" and then few years ago I binged iCarly from start to finish and I saw him as a guest star and I was like "oh....that Austin" went from being a C-list actor in Nickelodeon playing a guest star and supporting roles to playing Elvis Presley is one hell of an achievement in his entire career

Now this is a true Hollywood story i love to hear...an actor working hard for years and years slowly gaining recongition and honing his skills waiting for a breakthrough and when he finally gets it its amazing...i cant even imagine how elated Austin Butler must be feeling after all the recognition he is getting after working in the industry since childhood...thats a really long run...also i think he is going to be a star...i feel sad though about Rami Malek though..his Freddie Mercury was amazing and he had the hype for some tme but it just died down and there arent many big roles for him even after winning oscar...but Austin Butler being a white man will obviously get more roles even if he is just nominated...Hollywood still has a lot to do in that department
Rami Malek has been doing tons of stuff. Mr Robot (one of the best shows of all time), No Time to Die, The Little Things with Denzel Washington and he was also cast in Christopher Nolan's new movie Oppenheimer and David O'Russell's Amsterdam
He's actually had a really long career with A LOT of iconic roles...I feel like I practically grew up watching Austin butler...I feel like he was in everything I watched. I thought he was so cute and he still is cute 😍
Yeah true! But he was never the main lead in these roles. Or he hasn't worked *long-term* in projects that were award winning or widely well known. Elvis is Butler's 1st lead role in a movie, so it's a long time coming!
Being from a different generation, I never heard of him before tonight. I saw the "Elvis" movie and it brought me to tears. Hats off to Austin Butler! Fabulous actor, Beautiful man. Great Elvis moves on stage- you can tell he did his homework 🤩
I never heard of Austin Butler cuz I am older enough that I didn't watch any of those shows he was in. But I just saw the movie Elvis, and Austin Butler did an AMAZING JOB. The story of Elvis is such history and heartbreaking too, but Elvis really has been a part of all of us, even those who weren't old enough to idolize him during his rise and top spot in fame. Elvis is STILL wonderful to hear singing any of his music and at the end of movie, it mentions that ELVIS is still the highest selling individual artist in the WORLD. Even now. Great job to Austin Butler. Thank you for helping so many hear (and see so beautifully) the story of Elvis and bringing it to life.
I have been an Austin Butler fan since the mid 00s. It's just hitting me right now, thanks to this video, that he acted in many of my favorite TV shows over the years. As a tween I was obsessed with Ned's Declassified and Zoey 101. As a teen I was hardcore dedicated fan of Switched at Birth (I am fascinated with sign language and Constance Marie is one of my favorite actresses). And after watching the Sex and the City movies as a young adult I was captivated with the entire franchise and watched The Carrie Diaries from beginning to end. I'm a hardcore fan and always will be!!!!
Daughter had a recurring role in Ned’s Declassified so I got the privilege of hanging out with Austin’s terrific mom (& sometimes, dad) in the “green room”. Austin was always so sweet, smart, and kind to everyone, just like his mom. So glad to see him become so successful. His mom would have been so proud! Hope he stays grounded….
Oh wow, I love stories like these. An individual who puts in hard work constantly and in the end he or she gets the recognition they deserve. Gives hope for other individuals who are trying to achieve their own dreams. Thanks for the video.
I'm waaaay too old to have seen him in the Nickelodeon stuff but I can tell just by this video alone that Austin Butler has had the IT factor from a very young age. I am not an Elvis fan but I am absolutely going to watch the movie.

Aliens in the Attic was the first time I saw Austin when I was a kid and he was my fav character and i’ve had a crush on him ever since! Lol. I’m so happy he’s getting the recognition he deserves now.
From an extra in tvshow in 2005 to become an oscar nominee 2023 WOW I admired his commitment and his hard work. Now we also got this psychotic Feyd Rautha! He's such an incredible actor!
As someone of the Elvis generation I had never heard of Austin Butler. Don’t watch the Disney programs, but I had seen him in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood without knowing it was him. Definitely will keep him on my radar, very talented. I know some people are giving him grief over what they perceive as continuing to speak in Elvis’ voice, is that a bad thing? I think not. But after watching his earlier career, I think he always had a voice in the lower register not to far from Elvis’ voice. Also has a lot of charisma like Elvis. Looking forward to seeing more of his career going forward. **I was lucky to have seen Elvis twice. First in November 1971, then in the mid 1970’s. I had a ticket for his upcoming tour when he passed.
you guys were so nice to say lots of good things about his past movies and series roles bc dear god, he was just cute as the best lol nothing prepared me to see austin suddenly giving a show stopping acting like he did on elvis
Austin is absolutely fantastic, really showed how serious and dedicated he is on becoming the best he can be in his portrayal of Elvis, bright future , total class, 👌♥️ x
Austin Butler Amazing amazing actor I have never seen such a real emotional delivery that I managed to live that time for more than 02:30 minutes dancing singing acting with faces and mouths and visceral expressions a spectacle of acting Elvis Presley deserves this star that appeared in the cinema.
He’s always been such a handsome attractive man and a good actor and I watched the Elvis movie this role is definitely gonna pump up his acting career cause he did phenomenal in that film
He’s definitely easy on the eyes and he needs the voice is sexy too! He did a outstanding job on Elvis. As a child of the 70s, Elvis passed 9 days before I was born. He was a legend and I was hesitant about watching the movie, but I did, and I loved it, and Austin did a great job and as well as everyone else!
When I first saw the Elvis trailer the first thing I thought of was that he was in Zoey 101 even though I’ve watched and loved every Nick and Disney show he was in. I also love the movie, Aliens in the Attic but I don’t remember him playing in that movie tbh lol. I just watched the Elvis movie yesterday and he was amazing and I’m so glad he is getting the recognition he deserves from at first being a background actor/character to playing the king of rock and roll himself.
I can say that he totally became a real actor after ELVIS movie! He grew up with this and put lots of work in making it, also singing, dancing, making Elvis voice - you almout forget watching Austin, you trully believe you look at Elvis - thats the magic of movies and good actors. Elvis forever - and Austin will be my favorite Elvis actor ever.
wow ive loved Elvis since I was a kid and ive never realized ive seen Austin my whole childhood and now he is literally playing Elvis. Wow Life is Great!
I think we can all agree that Austin Butler has literally peaked and is way hotter now than when he was on Disney. 😅 Like as he aged it just kept getting better, and his style now is so classy its everything
My first exposure to him was Switched at Birth. I LOVED him as Wilke, I kept hoping that he'd come back from military school so we could see how much he had changed (as you could already see him changing before he left) and matured. Hubby and I also were big fans of the Shannara Chronicles, we were so bummed when the series wasn't continued! I'm glad to know it's based off a book series so now I'll have to see if I can't find it somewhere. I'm looking forward to seeing the new Elvis film!
I'm American and a 2000's teen kid but I have to admit, I never heard of him during the 2000's decade cause I was living in overseas then before moving back home. The 1st time I herd of Austin was in S3 of Arrow where he played an undercover assassin named Chase for 3 episodes. Add that to the list, for his character there was an overconfident, carefree, fun-loving Dj but was really a ruthless, manipulative ninja killer. The Shannara Chronicles should've continued as it was the very 1st and so far the only fantasy post-apocalyptic series since all and movies r by nuclear war, zombies, robots etc.. None with fantasy and magic which again he stared in the very first.
Austin Butler looks like the kind of actor you'd see on Glee. In fact when I first saw him not dressed as Elvis I thought I had seen him on Glee. Nope, turns out it was Zoey 101.
I'm calling it now, Austin Butler is going to get a role in a DC property. He's already having a good relationship with WB thanks to Elvis & Dune: part 2. I could easily see Austin replacing Ezra Miller for The Flash.
Yeah that’s all 2000 babies childhood crush, we did have seen his face since we can walk lol and then he was dating Vanessa, he was acknowledged by the public but now he is also acknowledge from the big ones in the industry
I saw him in the Carrie Diaries, Aliens in the Attic, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and now Elvis! When I saw the Elvis trailer, I knew I’d seen him before but I couldn’t pin point.. now I know.
I remember seeing him as a background actor in literally everything then as soon as I saw him with a bigger role in Zoey 101 and iCarly I was so happy for him! Lol I thought he was cute and I knew he’d go places
I knew I’ve seen him before just couldn’t remember, faces are strange like that it’s like your brain can tell whether it’s a new face you’re seeing no matter how long it’s been since you’ve seen it.
If you would've told 15 year old me that this actor would go on to play Elvis Presley of all people, I would've laughed in your face. Glad I was proven wrong and now I'm BEGGING for him to win an oscar!! Lol
I've known austin butler in many roles since.the 2000s way before he did elvis I remembered him on Disney Channel in hannah Montana and nickelodeon as Ned classified I'm glad he came along way and him playing elvis helped launched both his career and stardom.
he's in so much but for whatever reason he doesn't stick around in those characters for very long. Switched at birth is a great example of that he also did a couple of series where he had a couple of roles one or two guest spots like Life Unexpected and gone again. Really talented actor would love to see him on a series again but be a frontrunner.
Didn’t follow american sitcoms and shows when I was a kid. So I just woke up one day and this dudes suddenly has Elvis popularity lol And damnn his performance in Dune was awesome.
I don’t recall him from those early teen shows, but he blew me away in the relatively small part he had as Tex Watson in the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I thought to myself that guy is going places!
I just watched "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" last night and spotted Austin. Kurt Russell also has a part in the movie, which had me thinking: "Two actors who have played Elvis are in this."
Yeah but it took him a decade and a half to get here. No nepotism, or connections early on in his career, just pure talent. He was up against award winning actors who had a longer filmography, but it was his work ethic that got him this role at the end of the day.
Didn't recognize him as Elvis, but when I saw an interview video, I was like "Wait. I know him from somewhere..." Lol. Don't remember him from Drake & Josh and Ned's Declassified. Definitely remember him from Zoey 101 and ICary. Never saw the other shows/movies.

I remember seeing Austin Butler in the movie “once upon a time in Hollywood” he played “Tex” he was part of the Charles Manson family in that movie.
Known this man all my life wow
Love U Austin ❤❤❤
I'm calling it now, Austin Butler is going to get a role in a DC property.
He's already having a good relationship with WB thanks to Elvis & Dune: part 2.
I could easily see Austin replacing Ezra Miller for The Flash.
Ohh yes!!!! I could totally see him as Flash
Superhero movies is where actors go to die
Yeah that’s all 2000 babies childhood crush, we did have seen his face since we can walk lol and then he was dating Vanessa, he was acknowledged by the public but now he is also acknowledge from the big ones in the industry
Bit of a jump from all that to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Elvis haha
When he was casted for Elvis I was like “the nickalodeon extra dude?” 😭
I saw him in the Carrie Diaries, Aliens in the Attic, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and now Elvis! When I saw the Elvis trailer, I knew I’d seen him before but I couldn’t pin point.. now I know.
I remember seeing him as a background actor in literally everything then as soon as I saw him with a bigger role in Zoey 101 and iCarly I was so happy for him! Lol I thought he was cute and I knew he’d go places
This man is so dreamy
I knew I’ve seen him before just couldn’t remember, faces are strange like that it’s like your brain can tell whether it’s a new face you’re seeing no matter how long it’s been since you’ve seen it.
love austin butler
If you would've told 15 year old me that this actor would go on to play Elvis Presley of all people, I would've laughed in your face. Glad I was proven wrong and now I'm BEGGING for him to win an oscar!! Lol
I've known austin butler in many roles since.the 2000s way before he did elvis I remembered him on Disney Channel in hannah Montana and nickelodeon as Ned classified I'm glad he came along way and him playing elvis helped launched both his career and stardom.
ANYTHING FOR YOU AUSTIN
he's in so much but for whatever reason he doesn't stick around in those characters for very long. Switched at birth is a great example of that he also did a couple of series where he had a couple of roles one or two guest spots like Life Unexpected and gone again. Really talented actor would love to see him on a series again but be a frontrunner.
Didn’t follow american sitcoms and shows when I was a kid. So I just woke up one day and this dudes suddenly has Elvis popularity lol
And damnn his performance in Dune was awesome.
Oh god didn’t even realize he’s Tex from the tarantino film 😂
Awesome video ms mojo of actor Austin Butler from tv to movies, fantastic job.
I remember seeing him in the tween shows growing up but I mostly remember him as Vanessa's other half
was about to write the same
True) And he has too sweet face to take him seriously...
The Shanara Cronicles.. loved the series and Austin was brilliant ..💜💜
Damn she glaaaaaazing my boy
I don’t recall him from those early teen shows, but he blew me away in the relatively small part he had as Tex Watson in the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I thought to myself that guy is going places!
I just watched "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" last night and spotted Austin. Kurt Russell also has a part in the movie, which had me thinking: "Two actors who have played Elvis are in this."
It’s the way he showed up everywhere. Like in everything
By far a great actor....
Wow I never realized how much shows/movies he’s actually been in I feel like I grew up with him lol
I know him from the Shannara Series.
Same, I watched iCarly in full but don’t remember he was there tbh
The Carrie Diaries is my favorite
I love Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and I've seen it quite a few times. I had NO idea he was Tex 😂
I remember him from Carrie Diaries but had some sort of feeling that I had seen him somewhere else. Now I know!
I remember the role of Tex in Once upon a Time... Austin had scenes with Leo Dicaprio and Brad Pitt. That was a good role as Tex.
I first saw him on the Carrie diaries and I fucking fell in love with him 😍😍
