Thank you Yahtzee for teaching me new substitutes for vulgarities that are safe for work! Your books were very helpful for that. And theyre really cool
I love being a fan of classic British comedy show Bottom and its associated stage shows, so I can see how many lines Yahtzee rips off verbatim since the majority of the internet wont get it. But always know that I see you there, Yahtzee. Like an dog on a
The thing about Subnautica is that you dont craft things with your scrotum. You use a magical nano-tech table that does all the hard parts if you feed it the resources it wants. The main magical thing you do without magical nano-tech is eat raw alien fi
Fourth wall breaks are good sometimes. You have to either keep them as a funny but more importantly occasional thing or have them have a plot function. If you have neither then they just feel pointless, like what seems to be the case with this game.
Ive worked with the voice actor who did the AI in this on several of my own projects. Given the right direction and decent writing he does excellent work, two areas this game seemed to be somewhat lacking in.
A rule of thumb for writers considering lampshading something: it may (or may not) be funny, but it will confirm that you know it’s ridiculous/annoying and included it anyway. Use it smartly, not snarkily.
Oh shit, Yahtzees heard of Valheim and might even have played it! Wow. My dad and I played that together in the fallow period between us finishing Far Cry: New Dawn and Far Cry 6 coming out (it didnt really fill the void). It looked a bit small time to
A game from a russian indie studio. About putting together a bunch of resources to survive a harsh unforgiving environment. Yeah it all seems to fit doesnt it.
I found it weird that Yahtzee of all people would complain about someone talking too fast. But then I checked out some gameplay. That AI talks too fast!
I bought this not too long after it came out and only part one existed. It is a cute and fun game during the first part but it does seem to go to hell a bit during the second when it decided it wanted to be more than just the first part. Honestly, if the
Surprisingly, Yahtzee and SkillUp both agree on what makes Breathedge unsufferable right now. If the devs are smart, theyll take the cue and try to address the issues... yaknow, like how SUBNAUTICA did. wink wink
I played through this whole game in about 12 hours. The comedy got SO tedious near the end. The devs were also VERY sure they were going to offend someone and seemed giddy at the prospect but the only real offense they committed was leaving me bored and a
However the inappreciable line he mentions is easily found. Its the first time you audibly say TL;DR. For me that was just over 3 hours in about some cows.
Its interesting that Yahtzee liked the humor in the first few hours of the game. Because I watched 15 minutes of this game and I found the humor so overbearing and obnoxious that I couldnt continue.
Nothing more insufferable than oh look were going to eye-rollingly mock these cliches but then do them anyway. Bonus points for another indie with bad writing desperately wearing the I want to be Portal hat.

2:21 I love the way he barely finishes that sentence
Breathedge gave us space-based survival craft-em-up.
That prostate joke really hit home.
Im starting to think Yahtzee recently had a prostrate exam that didnt go too well
With all the references to prostate and butt stuff this episode we can safely assume yahtzee’s bedroom life has gotten a lot more interesting lately.
The spider faced love story in the credits is the best part 🐱
I love it when Yahtzee is on form with his humor
Subnautica gave us an ocean-based survival craft-em-up.
Well that knocked a game off my wishlist. Thanks!
3:33 as someone who hates peanuts, that ziplock one sounds good to me lol
If it werent for Zero Punctuation, I would never have heard of most of these indie games.
The script of this episode was quite amazing. Not that it is ever bad.
Damn that was like top 10 teardowns of all ZP time

Nicely done, sir!

I think we can all agree....Yahtzee really likes breakfast cereals.
I finally played this as it was on sale, and Yahtzees (once again) 100% dead on.
The whole insufferable dynamic is how I feel about the one Bards Tale game I tried.
Youll need a space station full of mints to freshen up after playing this game which takes your breath to the edge and drops it off.
Strong finish, as always
Now we need a cyberpunk game to give us a RUclips comment section survival craft-em-up.
I found the story kind of interesting with the weird funeral spaceships and mystery of why shit blows up

Love these reviews, keep up the good work.

its like the mystery of portal. not much, youre more in it for the jokes

I saw 20 mins of this game on a stream and it was enough to want to gouge the games vocal cords out.
I only lasted an hour before refunding it and going back to Subnautica... Glad to hear it, in fact, did not get better later.

This is the most Ive ever agreed with Yahtzee about a game. The only difference is I got annoyed with the smug metahumor MUCH faster.
I kind of enjoy the humor in this game, it reminds me of Space Quest.
A fourth wall break inside a fourth wall break? Thats like... sixteen walls!
I played this game in early access and I really enjoyed it, its a shame that they just kinda slapped the ending together and called it a day
So I mean, Yahtzee definitely has a thing for spider ladies right?
Nailed it. I really enjoyed this game but a few things bothered me and I just couldnt put my finger on it/up it
Is it just me or is yahtzee getting even better lately??
The first minute almost sold me on this game. Ah well
The subtext Im picking up on is someone just had a prostate exam. Hope it went ok.
Bonus points for using the term pedipalps 👏🕷❤
Well the opening credits do tell you that : Picking out this font took up half the development time and i think they didnt joke there.... :D
Sooo...the assumed final boss of Resident Evil: Village then?
it would have been cooler if salvage was a thing and you got the bits you needed from the final area itself by ripping apart panels and shit

For me (someone who doesnt like nuts) a snickers with all the nuts in a bag on the outside sounds wonderful frankly.
The title of this game just sounds like a fetish category.

A very bumhole focused episode, this one
When will creators learn that lampshading the cliché youre doing, does not automatically make it OK to use the cliché?
However the inappreciable line he mentions is easily found. Its the first time you audibly say TL;DR. For me that was just over 3 hours in about some cows.
Actually its pronounced breath-arj

Maybe all that time you spent in space doing barely anything interesting for 15-20 hours was finally worth it in the end... for us.
