You work is so amazing. You are one of my favorite pencil artist. Your work is over the top. I would be so blessed to just have a fourth of your talent. Thanks for coming back missed you.🙂God bless
Wow! Just gorgeous. You are an incredibly talented artist. I love what you did with the Johanna Basford treasure chest picture. Your drawing skills are as amazing as your coloring skills!!
Getting to see your finished work is such a treat! You are a truly gifted colorist and artist. Thank you for taking the time to share with us. The coloring journal is a wonderful idea too!
I think that your addition of the ravens to the chest in Enchanted Forest was a stroke of genius. Simply the best page I have ever seen from that book!
Your pages are beyond talented, the chest page is phenomenal the ravens you drew, I just have no words, you should be a book illustrator bring out your own colouring books, I’m blown away x
I am glad I am not the only person that colors in bed. I purchased a large book type clipboard to hold the whole book opened. There is a clip on the top of one side of the book and another clip on the side of the other page of the book. This was the best thing ever to support both sides of the book so one side isn't flopping down. I was delighted to see that it is still for sale on Amazon.ca
It was such a treat seeing your finished pages. You're the colorist who got me started in coloring. It was fun seeing those pages that I had colored myself, and seeing how different the pictures looked when tthey were done differently. You're an inspiration. Thank you.
Beautiful works of “color” art. I am hoping that sometime soon you will be able to do more tutorial/color alongside. I know they take a lot of work but I aspire to be able to color like you and could learn a lot from you. Thank you for sharing 😊
So very happy to see you back, Peta. I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation of your wonderful work. I do so love what you did in Dagdrommar and look forward to seeing more of you in future. Be well and happy coloring.💜👏💜👏💜
I so enjoy seeing your work .,especially.when you add your bbn own art as with the treasure chest with ravens. And the whale is is beautiful..the best version I've seen
Thanks for all your tutorials. You asked mr Anjali about my problems. They are increasing day by day . Torture, throwing us out , not letting us take basic emmenities. Instead of giving us any justice we are been tortured and not letting us take our basic emmenities . We are being threatened and beaten every where and not letting us go any where.
Beautiful work as always Peta. It was very exciting to see a new video from you and I'm looking forward to more tutorials and reviews when you have the time. :)
Hi PETA...you gave me a couple of ideas to work on....I already do a "coloring journal" of the colors and mediums I'm using on each page...but really like how organized yours is...and I have used acrylic paint on a few pages, but hadn't thought about "watering" them down.
I'm afraid I can't take the credit for that idea. Dede Williams has been using watered down acrylics in her books for a long time. She gave me the idea. If you want to know more about that technique have a look at her channel... she's got mad talent
Please do more of the color along series.... They are amazing ... I just got started really want to learn more on the colors selections. Your color along with the Inktense pencils are so beautiful ....
Great work.I have learned a lot from you.Your tutorials are well explained and I appreciate that you always tell us what colors you use for coloring,I enjoy your videos.
It's always a treat to see your beautiful work, and the organization book at the beginning is a great idea! I can imagine how that might be necessary with so many books. I may need to try that myself since I'm sort of an "out of sight, out of mind" person.
Oh my dear...you are my favorite by far. I try and even with your instruction I can't come close. I find your skill amazing...especially the realistic work. I see that you can work with any pencil and any medium and make it beautiful. Sigh..it is a thing I can never do. Thankyou for sharing.
Hi Paula, don't worry, everybody is at a different stage on their colouring journey. I've been arting since I was little... so almost 5 decades of playing with colour. I was bound to pick up a few tricks along the way
Hi Peta I recycle cardboard to make a template the depth of the book spine to put under the left side of the page and use binder clips to hold while coloring. Makes a great difference ☺️
Love your art work! I wish you were able to do more tutorials or at least share more of your inspiring finished work. I really like knowing materials used for each picture! I wish I knew what you used to create the "King Owl" (last picture shown), he's strikingly handsome. I hope you will be able to enjoy more coloring time soon! Stay healthy and safe, you and your family.
Wow, I really like what you did with the chest page from Enchanted Forest. Mine is plain and boring. lol. I just colored it with gel pens but maybe I'll go back in and add something.
I am so happy to see you making videos again! I am happy you are using the pencils I sent although you have me credit for sending pencils I didn't. For the birds in Dagdrmmar you said they were Luminance. Those were the Holbein pencils I sent, not Luminance. I sent Prismacolor, Derwent Artists and Holbeins. I would have sent Luminance as well, but you already had them and used them in your Coloured Pencil Review Number 2 video. I am still happy to see you coloring and making videos!
Ah....oops... They were the Holbein pencils... I haven't used my Luminence in a long while. I can't believe I said that... (kicks self). I also stated Prismacolor for a picture that i actually used Polychromos on too. Trying to do it all from memory in one take and messing up. Yes i did definitely colour the Birds with the Holbein pencils. I loved them, btw. The colour choice is amazing and unique... love all those pastels! But I don't think it's the best fit for the paper in this book. I've since tried them in Enchanted Forest and I really like how they perform on that paper. Sorry for the mix up. And once again THANK YOU ever so much for these pencils. I truly appreciate them. Also, now we're heading into the Christmas season I'm going to start filming colouring in the snow globe picture.... my first picture in Johanna's Christmas
Wow! I LOVE your video 😍. I like to make drawings myself and one day I hope to be good enough to publish my own coloring book 😊. How cool will it be to see your own work turned into master pieces like this 😍😍😍😍😍
PETA , You are so inspiring! Amazing artist. Can you please tell me what the original drewent pencils are comparable to ? I have some Arteza and so Prismacolor. Ty so much 😀
Oh, your work is so beautiful PETA. You inspire me so much. So great to watch your videos again. When you talk about doing putting down diluted acrylic paint, is it Matt acrylic, or the artists gloss kind? Thank you. 💕
I always use matt acrylic as you can easily colour of the top of it with pencils. Gloss is too slippery. The acrylic brand I use is called Amsterdam. I have the 36 pack of 20 ml tubes which is not very expensive at my local art shop
Hey Peta, do you have any tips for a really minimal coloring kit to carry around every day? I almost never actually finish anything since I almost never actually sit down with my art supplies. I picked up Johanna Bashford's calendar for next year so my idea is to just do the one (relatively small/simple) picture at a time by carrying some supplies with me and coloring in spare minutes, but my kit will have to be really small so that I actually carry it.
Hi K. I am also on a quest for the perfect colouring kit. I thought at first that the double ended Colleen pencils would be perfect but they are too fragile to take being knocked about during travel. The most minimal kit I have come up with is a set of Staedtler ergosoft as they are thin and light but the triangular barrel means they won't roll off a table (in say a restaurant or on a plane tray table) and are more comfortable to work with. they also layer nicely if you don't press hard so you can get a wide variety of colours with a smaller set. They are a harder pencil which means they will last longer so you won't run out of a favourite colour too quickly. To reduce the space needed i would keep them in a small zip pencil case along with a sharpener and a kneaded eraser (no crumbly eraser bits so you won't leave a mess behind). I always travel with my Ergosofts. Also agree with DD about the Gold faber pencils. i have a 48 set in a soft cloth roll. It does take up more space but they are a good alternative. i haven't tried the Colorpockit suggested by Linda so I can't give an opinion on them. Hope this helps.
All your pictures are exquisite! I would love to see how you work with the Neocolor II. I have a set, but haven't been able to work them very good. I really need a good tutorial or two on them. Thanks, Peta!
Hi Peta, I am also from North Qld! I am Townsville based, where are you located? I love your work and have followed you for awhile! I have been colouring for a few years now and love it also!
Unfortunately my latest tutorial has been put on hold. My video camera has decided to give up the ghost (died of overuse I guess) I'll have to wait until I can afford another camera. I am saving and my Patreon account should mostly cover it so not too far in the future
Hello :) I've just come across your channel as I'm wanting to get back into colouring. Once question I have it, when you colour over the black printed lines sometimes the pencils make the lines dull, do you go over the line art once your finished or do you just leave it? 💖 Love your art!
Loved this flip thru! ! I am new to adult coloring and am inspired by your work. Agree with others that your voice is easy to listen to. Question - how do you remember what you use on each page? Is it with your journal you showed at the beginning?
You work is so amazing. You are one of my favorite pencil artist. Your work is over the top. I would be so blessed to just have a fourth of your talent. Thanks for coming back missed you.🙂God bless

Hi Peta! I love your art work. Would you like to make a video about the finished pages of the book The enchanted forest?
You are just amazing. Thank you so much for the inspiration! :)

K Ray I have the Basford coloring calendar also...love it. Interested in Peta’s reply.
I carry a 24 set of Goldfaber pencils, an eraser and a sharpener

PETA I so love to watch your tutorials. Where are you now? May 3, 2024 Love Carol.
You are my favourite colourist on youtube! Do you have the Creative Haven Dazzling Dogs as well? I am glad you're back.

Love, love, love your Animorphia Whale.

Thanks for sharing! Beautiful work. Would love to have a new tutorial.
Tua Arte é um fenômeno. Parabéns. Gratidão.
Do you color grayscale?
All your pictures are exquisite! I would love to see how you work with the Neocolor II. I have a set, but haven't been able to work them very good. I really need a good tutorial or two on them. Thanks, Peta!
I'll keep that in mind for a tutorial :)
They also go by the name of Wanshui as I have those.
Hi Peta, I am also from North Qld! I am Townsville based, where are you located? I love your work and have followed you for awhile! I have been colouring for a few years now and love it also!
Love looking at your, especially when you add to it. When is the next tutorial?? Keep posting 😁

Sorry, I’m new to adult colouring scene. What does she mean when she says “burnishing” with the pencils?
I believe its blending the pencil so you can't see any pencil lines
