That bit about coloring over the sharpie with the pencil is a real gem! She's luminous! I like the texture you achieved in the moon with the initial layer of grey. Watercolor is famous for those imperfections! The moon looks moon-ey! Thank you, Peta.

So excited to see not only how you do this technique, as I've always loved the pics that you have produced with this technique but I'm also very, very excited to see a tutorial by Peta using my brand... Prismacolor! I know that this can be applied to other pencil brands but I am a die-hard Prisma fan and have always hoped you would do a video using them. I just love their opacity and blend-ability. Thanks Peta, once again for the amazing video... Your talent is amazing and your videos, as always are so informative and spot-on. Thanks

Now i know there are no magical perfect single mediums that can do everything! I have learned so so much. Art supplies are expensive and I wanted to build up my art supply inventory and initially thought I'd get a large set of either alcohol markers, Zigs or watercolor pencils, etc....But now I see that using different mediums can achieve much more visual interest and dimension/texture so I will buy some of each. I learned so much and it was so generous of you to demonstrate your tecniques beautifully. Many thanks. this video saved me money.

I have just sat and watched this on a Friday night with a couple of glasses of wine. I chose to watch this instead of going out with my fiance which was planned but as I was totally glued to this we didn't go out lol. You are so relaxing to listen to and your ways of colouring and the different materials you use are brilliant. I have added so many things to my xmas list tonight. I still can't believe how fantastic the Copic markers are. The skin is perfect! You have a very soothing voice and enjoy watching your videos. I now have to watch a horror film as instructed by my fiance lol. Thank you for the inspiration!!

Nice to see you back. What I love the most about your videos, are the tips you give all along, like for example, with those white gel pens... I always have that trouble with them that they seem to pick up all the wax then don't work anymore... For sure I will try your trick. Thanks for taking the time to show us all the techniques and tricks you learned on the way.

You articulate your techniques so clearly that it’s impossible not to understand what you are teaching. Again, WOW! Thank you so much for sharing your ability with those of us out here. THANK YOU SO MUCH! For the past couple of months, I have watched so many video, and even bought a book to help me color skin & hair... but I never really had success. Until today! You really broke it down easy, and you didnt over complicate it. I am coloring along with you, and I am about to start the hair, although I am a bit intimidated to do so. So far, my pic is nowhere near as good as yours, but I do already see some progress. I will keep practicing the techniques I learned from you. Thanks again!! 💕 which gel pens do you suggest? Should I invest in Wink of Stella? I have some of those elmer glue glitter thingies. Can i use those on coloring books or should I get the acrylic glitter pens? I hope you have a blessed day.

I absolutely love my copics. Thanks Peta for this video. You're so soothing to listen too. Cheapest store I've found for copics online if anyone is interested is craftonline at $7.99 for sketchers, $4.99 for caios in Australia. At $50 you get free postage as that is often a killer I find. Usually they're around $10 now and going up I've found in other stores.

I so appreciate your thoughtfulness in sharing all your techniques and tips!! I had never thought about using markers in my coloring before - I love my colored pencils! But after watching this video, it made total sense to me to use markers in conjunction with my Prismas, as I still get to do all the shading and highlighting, but it saves so much lead on the large areas!! You're wonderfully talented! Thanks, again! (By the way - Blick Art should thank you - I placed a rather large order after watching several of your videos - choosing 4 Copic markers, along with refills, Graphik pens, a few Polychromos, etc. I can't believe how excited I get over new art materials!)

I love your videos! Your art is amazing:)) I was wondering if you have any more suggestions for fine liner markers the few different brands I have tried stop working as soon as I use them over the prismacolor pencils and they weren't cheap brand markers and I've noticed that the derwent one isn't easily available by where I live. Thanks!:)

I've heard in my research on inking that black sharpies tend to have a nasty aging effect (being known to change some odd off color from black over time)
could the same be said about the colored sharpies? Asking because I would like to produce some traditional colored pieces that'll actually last.
