I opened my email this morning and about fainted when I saw a post from you!! You have NO idea how missed you have been in this community!! Welcome back!! 💖💋💖
yeah...she is back! Like so many other I've truly missed your fantastic tutorials. I'm so sorry to hear you're in pain. I truly hope you'll get well very soon!
Thank you for an excellent lesson in placement of light, Peta. You are a wonderful teacher and I have learned a great deal from you. Your time and knowledge is much appreciated! 😊💙
I'm gathering this was recorded a long time ago based on your comments about how hot it is... since it's winter for you now, but glad you were able to publish this. As others have said, you've been missed, so we're grateful for any content you want to share! Hope all is well.
So good to have you back, your tutorials are always great, being the excellent teacher that you are.. Before I wouldn't have known how to get the reflection.. Thanks again
I can't even tell you how excited I was to see a new video from you! You have always been one of my favorite people to watch color! This is a great video, as I struggle with coloring metal. Hope we see more from you soon 😊
Oh, Peta, how wonderful to see/hear you & your videos again! Welcome back! Missed you so very much. 💕 - This is a great video as coloring metal can be a challenge and you've covered the topic perfectly! Thank you 😊
Doing my happy dance 💃🏻 and singing "peta's back, peta's back" yes girl, all is right with the world again 😜. Great video as usual, hope there are many more to come.
Yeah!!!! Not that I've been waiting next to my iPad waiting for you to post since your message this morning!!! Just checked it about 100 times today 😜Whoo hoo sooooo happy your back 💕 Tanya x
i have mythomorphia, and the great thing is that kerby does half the work for you, by doing the shading, indicating where you should colour darker or lighter. great tutorial. i got a derwent blue grey pencil that you recommended in another tutorial, which i think will work great. i have a pic in mind in my book, where i will try this. saved to my favourites. thanks Peta.
Welcome back. That was a wonderfully educational video. I've been wanting to know how to do metallic colouring but most artists don't have such excellent explanations if any at all. Thanks for that Peta. The end result is spectacular.
This was a really good tutorial. Thank you. I hope this means you are well and will be doing more videos. I love listening and watching you explain how you color. You have been missed.
Yay! SO glad you're back, Peta! Sorry to hear there were some problems and I hope you and your family are all well and happy. All the very best to you! Missed your videos more than I can say. I've learned to much from many wonderful RUclipsrs and their tutorials, but your videos have inspired me more than any others. So I'm really hoping that there'll be many more to watch again now. It would be really interesting to see which colouring books and new arts supplies you bought since we last heard from you, so could you perhaps do a video about that?
Hi Peta! I loved this tutorial! I’ve been looking for a video that actual shows how to color different metallic surfaces and not just the color combos to get a gold, silver, copper. I noticed that you have not uploaded new videos for a while! Hopefully your are well and will soon return to teach all of us the COVID generation of beginner colorists!
So glad to see you back doing videos! I found this tutorial very informative and one that I have been looking for explaining in terms I can understand without using 5 different colors to achieve the look. Thank you so much, I have missed seeing new things from you!
Thank you so much for all of your postings. Speaking as a retired educator, you are a superb teacher and have made my retirement hobby much more fun for me. Could you do a tutorial on using gelatos for backgrounds. If so great, if not I will still be visiting your site regularly. Again, thanks.
Peta !!! So excited to see your back !!! Hope your doing well ! We all have so missed your sweet voice, and your awesome art work !!! This one is going to be of great help to some metal armor i been trying to work on ..... Thank You !!!
Yay you're back! Missed you so much! Great tutorial! Have been re-watching all your videos and have been using my intense pencils in my new favorite book Mouse Guard by David Peterson, and just stumbled on this new post, so I can used it on the little mouse battle armor! Thanks so much for the new post!!!
Always, always enjoy your reviews &/or tutorials on anything. You make it clear, concise & totally understandable, so for that, I'm grateful. Hugs, Cleo Fraser
Hmmm ...... I think you've been missed LOL. So happy to hear your dulcet tones again, wonderful tutorial. Hope all's well , and you're happy n healthy 😃
I finally got onto this piece and with your tutorial it's coming up a treat! I've always had issues with metal and no one tops you for tutorials. No one. I find your PATREON account is great for a full screen on iPad to finish it off.😉 It's great watching other artists on RUclips but I find I need someone to talk me through it so I understand the why's and wherefore's of colouring and you do that along with Kristy Rice who also does wonderful tutorials on watercolours and not simply music. Thank you Peta and belated Happy Birthday 🎂
It's delish, isn't it. Sadly I can't have any at the moment due to the meds I'm on. I have a can waiting for me in the back of the fridge for when I'm better. :)
You're remarkably talented :) I Just started getting into coloring. It's kind of intimidating because i don't wanna mess up.. But I'm slowly learning how to make highlights and bring out depth in the objects.. It's difficult at times because you also have to use your imagination of where you think the natural light is hitting on the image.. Ik it takes time to get better.. Hopefully i can be as talented as you one day! Anyways, Thank You! for you're uploads and tutorials.. Keep it up.. Have a nice weekend.
Petra as always a pleasure to watch and learn from your videos. I would love to see a video on glass as well and also how to colour water, I am working on a piece that is at a dock in water that is still and I was practising water colours, didn't get what I was looking for. Can I ask you if your Polychromos are fairly new, I saw a review saying the new ones are not as good as the old generation, just curious for your take on them as I was interested.
Thanks still again. Of course I ordered the book, and fresh into this excellent video, the metal actually looks like metal. Woo hoo. Pulling out a small hair dryer to make the Inktense dry faster.
Oh!!!! I'm so incredibly glad to see you back😊 most importantly... I HOPE YOU ARE WELL AND HAPPY 😊💙

Most excellent tutorial. I will definitely save this. Have a nice day 🙂
Petra as always a pleasure to watch and learn from your videos.
Hi Karen. My Polychromos set is about 2 1/2 years old. Interested to test that theory with older ones if I ever come across them.
You are the best. 😍
Glad you are back. Thanks for a another informative video.
Thanks still again. Of course I ordered the book, and fresh into this excellent video, the metal actually looks like metal. Woo hoo. Pulling out a small hair dryer to make the Inktense dry faster.
Also, I wish I'd do a tutorial on glass! & it's reflection, etc. Thx PETA. Cleo Fraser
