Great video! There are many international companies in Bulgaria that offer remote work in English only. For instance, I’m in clinical research management field and we have many foreigners in our team.
Hi Laura - I have just discovered your channel and am really enjoying your videos!😊 I have a house near Provadiya that I used to live in but have just holidayed in for the past few years, but I’m now thinking of heading back to BG later this year to live full time as the UK is getting so crazy expensive. I have an online job with a UK based company who would be happy for me to work from BG. I still have a valid residency card, so no Visa required. Is BG OK about remote workers? What about taxes etc - how do you sort all that kind of stuff? Currently I get paid into my UK bank account, would I have to change that, or just declare my earnings somehow to the BG gov? I have tried googling this but not much came up that made sense!😵💫
It's complicated, I believe. Many remote workers pay taxes in their native country instead of BG. I'm still learning, but my financial advisor has told me this is ok and he lives here. Maybe we should start a remote worker cooperative in Bulgaria! 🥸
@@the_phoenixproject that’s a great idea! I will get in touch again when I get back to BG - in the meantime, I’m really looking forward to watching your BG adventures unfold!🤗
It definitely is for us. We're wondering what we can do. I have a facepainting business here and py husband is a jack of all trades but we're still learning bulgarian so seemed a bit limited. So this is great
@@vchainsaw there are lots of opportunities, you just have to know where to look. Upwork is a good place to start. The fees aren't great, but you can build up your experience from there. Good luck and get in touch if you need any help ❤️ Always happy to chat and share experiences!
Hello, just foind you and interested in moving over in the future. Do you think there is any call for English Hairdressers??? Probably near the more tourist areas 🤔
Im looking to move to bulgaria. I have visitied aboit 5 years ago. The internet was not to ideal when i was there anyway. How is your internet and are there any unlimited limits now? Because i will be using the internet alot or i am hoping too. Especially for youtube and other online businesses. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
It depends where you want to live. Plovdiv is a very cosmopolitan city with great internet connectivity (or so I've heard). It may be worth doing some research! Our internet is great here but we do sometimes get power cuts.

Im still doing my research i have visited and traveled around most of bulgaria including plovdith however u spell it i went to rhe collesium also. Do u get unlimited bandwidth? I mean of course rural bulgaria wont have fibre optic. Would u be able to do a video on internet please talk about your internet. What u have etc please and any restricfions etc. I understand its alot of work makin videos i am a youtube myself. But i believe it would be a good video and im sure many people would be interested . But thank you for your reply. I have tried to do some research even going to forums but sadly its all in bulgarian lol and the few english ones i have found unfortunately dont have any real answers but thanks again
I really hope that at some point you will decide to find a stabile job in Bulgaria (online of course) and will completely settle down and make a strong bound with Bulgaria! Kids in school, lovely HOME (not a house!) and a decent job 🖤🖤🖤🖤 it’s really helpful video indeed 🖤
I might have misunderstood this (forgive me!) But I work as a writer for a European company and as an English teacher whilst living in Bulgaria. We live here full time and we love it 💕 It is our home! Bulgaria is wonderful and so are the people here. I encourage others to consider it too! This is why I offer these tips ❤️😊
@@the_phoenixproject oh sorry it’s my bad I thought you do not have a job currently that’s why, but got bless ya hun , u have two wonderful kids to take care of and going through renovation project and still have the power to work ! You are amazing 🤩 once again my apologies of misunderstanding 🖤
Hi, i have tried to message you but am unable to get it to send. I would be really interested in asking you some questions about moving to BG. Do you have another form of contact, please? Thanks Dan

But getting wages at UK levels in Bulgaria is difficult. But you should try anyway.
Do you have to work for a Bulgarian company on your visa? Or can you still work for a uk company

Quite possibly, but you would have to speak to a Bulgarian lawyer about doing it officially as a business. It's a great idea!
