Hi, nice work!! I trying to conclude a 09G to DQ500 swap, but my switch lever stuck at P with P light blinking. I connected the two can wire, a disconnected the pin 3 wire in the lever connector. Can you help me?
I got all the used parts from a gti mk6. Got them on face book for around 400$ I think. Then the front mount cooler was 450$ and the dsg tune was 400$.
Did you have any problems with park/neutral safety? My mk7 DSG swap won’t start because it cannot tell the car is in park. Shifter has been changed and everything looks good
@@prestofixit3518 currently I’ve got the old park interlock plugged in and it’s starts. Do you have a pin out for the dsg connector showing the park neutral wire? Not sure which wire to connect to the 10 pin
@@JacobCanale42 I don’t remember it now. It’s in part 2 I believe, I show where to connect it to get it to start. Unless your transmission is different everything should work.
@@prestofixit3518 double checked part 2. Only see to connect the purple/black wire to pin 2, however my purple black is park interlock, not park neutral safety
How does your tiguan handle the k04 with the 09G? Im thinking about doing a k04 on my fiance's tiguan but that will be enough of a job for now without trying to do a dsg swap as well. Maybe in the future...
@@prestofixit3518 Love the videos! I'm starting to research this for my 2011 tiguan. Do you know if the MK5 R32 dq250 and transfer case from the r32 will work in the Tiguan 4motion? Thanks
@@codcamper9350 I believe the r32 has a different dsg. You can do a dq250 from a gti mk6 or a dq500 from a Audi but the dq500 needs a lot more parts to make work. The dq250 is almost a direct swap from a gti if you get all the parts.
I believe the dsg one has can input sensors on it. Not 100% sure on what’s different, I know the 09m doesn’t have can network. I tried with the old shifter and it would not communicate with the dsg.
Hey i was wondering if you give a rundown of the parts you need for this swap. Im interested in doing it.
love the vids man. building a tig as well will definitely use your videos as a resource.
Glad to hear it!

Is there any chance you have a basic parts list for this!?
Im wondering if i could do this to my tsi passat
How did you fix the U0101 code?
You need to have a tuner delete the code from the ecu.
so.... im here because im going forward a DSG in my golf... what was the whole total cost of everything ?

Yes I couldn’t get it to start at first. Had the park neutral wired wrong on the 10pin connector. Fixed that and it started right up!

It took it pretty well! Besides slipping and losing power, sometimes it would just over rev and go into neutral. The dsg is so much better!
Actually I also wonder if your tiguan is a 4motion because ours is and I'm not sure if I'd need like a dq500 from a quattro or 4 motion or something?
@@Riley8425 mine was just a front wheel drive one. You could do a dq500 and have a 7speed! Or a dq250 and get a transfer case for it!

What is special about the dsg shift lever assembly vs the standard 09m automatic one?
