Did a transmission flash to Audi Q5 with an independent programer. After flash I took it to mechanic and he did adaptation, after driving, the following intermittent codes occurred: p17e100, p174d00, p17d800, p176b00. and it produce static code: p179c00.

ATF pressure from port shows (I think what is)close to correct pressure, P=46psi cold, similar warm. Shifting to R flashed to 150/160 then settled at 65psi. N= 65psi D=53ps1, up to 120 at 3000rmp, #= 53psi, 2= 53psi, 2=53psi There is a slight tic of the pressure needle when shifted from 2-1 but nothing at all into Drive, 3 or 2. I have a ross-tech VCDS, I did a scan and it showed no trans codes, what would you recommend I try first? Thanks if you take the time to answer!

Could happen for a number of reasons. Foot not on the brake. Oil temp too high, oil temp too low. Gear selector not in park. Codes present in the control module. It’s a long list,

@@teocan10 please update or downgrade (if you have latest firmware) via ODIS Engineering and perform adaption via ODIS Service it will resolve your problem. Do not use VCDS for any operation in the gearbox.
I changed recently the clutch master pump and after that i get the issuer 03182 clutch position sensor (G476) implausible signal MIL ON .when using VCDS. I have a passat b6 2009 model. Which advice could you give to me please to resolve the issue?

Just got Mechatronic refurb plus new clutch pack fitted trying to do calibration now and getting stuck with main valve calibration and clutch valve calibration it starts process revs up and after a while aborting process due to safety reasons? Also tried this on a5 2010 stronic good running one this one does same thing just abort process due to safety reason. Any ideas how to get thru this please?

I just replaced my mechatronics unit after doing the solenoids & circuit board fix -- it improved the transmission but now it jerks and stalls out when I go from Park to Drive. But not Park to Reverse, that is fine. Does this need a clutch adaptation procedure done to fix the jerk and stall condition?

It's on stands in my garage, I'll try removing it again and trying to swap a few solenoids around to see if I can make the issue change behavior to gain a better understanding of which exact component is bad. If that fails then I'll pull it out again and have it send out for repair from one of those services you see online.

It should drive fine. While these adaptations help accelerate the adaptation procedure. The transmission will adapt independently, and sort itself out as you drive it. This could be an indication of a worn clutch.
If you have clutch slip under light to moderate loads you have a problem. Do you have any fault codes? If you actually have clutch slipping the TCU should drop engine power and indicate a problem.

Hi I just have a quick question, What does it mean when the clutch pressure value of clutch one is reading 0.5 bar when the car is off with key in and also the car is cold. Also it seems like while driving when the transmission in on the second clutch gears such as R,2,4,6 clutch 1 never goes down below 0.5 bar. I am asking because I have a gear malfunction and I lose clutch one once the temp gets over 60 or so. I have rebuilt the clutch and changed the solenoids on the mech unit. I am suspecting maybe the G163 pressure sensor is faulty. What do you think?
Hi! I have an AUDI S4 2009 in which I replaced the clutch plates and renovated the mechatronics. The phenomenon is that when you put it in D or R from a stationary position, the gearbox hits hard, but only when the oil warms up. I adapted the clutch, but only drove 1-2 kilometers with the car. is it possible that I should drive the car 100-200 kilometers to learn it? thanks!
@@themanleygarage I drove 107 kilometers with it, but it was worse than it was. now from 2nd to 1st, if I go to D it says P17D7 Multifunction error (Reverse off and only 1-3-5-7 speed) and if I put it in D or R from a standstill it does the same thing.
vr6- hit-licks I followed the exact same steps did all adaptations within 40-50 degree C, but the only adaptation I can not complete was the TR range switch adaptation, it requires engine off and parking brake on

Good to know that the procedure works on the DQ250. Thank you for that, I’ll add that transmission to the title and description. I’d like to get confirmation it also works on the DQ500. The DSG software is constantly adapting. This procedure allows the transmission to reset all of it’s learned values, check the function of the shift solenoids, friction points, and the pressure valves. It basically gives the transmission a new baseline to learn from. These are incredibly smart gearboxes. VW/Audi/Temic did a great job developing them. They can be quirky, but when they are they’re telling you something is off. Whether it’s the mech unit, dirty fluid, or the clutches themselves.

That makes more sense. Yes. This procedure can help. It’s the first step I take in diagnosis. Sometimes the clutch “kiss point” needs to be reset, and it goes away. Other times this is the result of worn clutches, and it is not possible to fix with VCDS, and the potential solutions are worn clutch fluid, or worn/burned clutches. Start with the simple stuff first though.

@@Agrocentar Potrazi nekog ko ima Autel 708 pro seriju ima kompletno vodjen program adaptacije i kompezacije sa kojim se to uradi za nekih pola sata i nema vise proklizavanja.Na novijim serijama Autel dijagnostike iz nekog meni nepoznatog razloga ta funkcija vise ne postoji i za taj kod greske se predlaze zamena seta kvacila sto je potpuni apsurd.VCDS nikad nije imao tu funkciju dakle oni su od pocetka bili na toj liniji

Hi, In transmission, Basic settings, their are lot of drop down on menu, but you’re selecting some menu but not all other. Whether this enough for the Basic settings?
Need some information about Audi A4. We replaced used Mechatronics with transmission, so we need online programming to adapt the gearbox to the vehicle or only basic settings alone are sufficient?
As long as the TCU is still recognized by the vehicle. This should be all you need to do to get it adapted. If the TCU is no longer recognized by the vehicle, you may need to utilize ODIS to get it up, operational, and coded to the vehicle.
Not mentioned in here but trans fluid temp needs to be between 40-60C for these adaptations to run. Thought I would mention for anyone having an issue

Probably needs the immobilizer recoded with ODIS, or disabled via an aftermarket solution.

It's a good thing to do during ANY transmission adaptation, and some require it.

A za CVT kako ide adaptacija? Procitao sam da mogu i bez VCDS sa voznjom naprijed nazad 10x

Hi, In transmission, Basic settings, their are lot of drop down on menu, but you’re selecting some menu but not all other. Whether this enough for the Basic settings?
Do not select all the menus unless you know what they do.
I selected specific tests to conduct, to get the transmission to adapt.

Need some information about Audi A4. We replaced used Mechatronics with transmission, so we need online programming to adapt the gearbox to the vehicle or only basic settings alone are sufficient?
As long as the TCU is still recognized by the vehicle.
This should be all you need to do to get it adapted.
If the TCU is no longer recognized by the vehicle, you may need to utilize ODIS to get it up, operational, and coded to the vehicle.
