This is one of tge best preaching and teaching about the steadfast love of God, and that our salvation is by God, through God, and in God.
We can't loose what God did for us, because God found us while we were lost. It's a God thing.

How can you lose something that was never entrusted to your safe keeping in the first place? Salvation is of The Lord!

Anyone who's gone through a divorce can probably relate to the difficulty in trusting the promise of "forever."

I say this with love; it depends on their marriage. Did they share the same faith, values, and beliefs? If not, one wouldn’t understand why the other submits to God. This may not be the case of which you speak, but that is why Gods word calls us to not be joined with an unbeliever. It may likely end in division, or worse, one being led astray. If two believers are struggling, through the church (other members of the body of Christ), they can receive guidance and counsel to work through their struggles.

@@shanetasadie I married a believer and am well aware of what the Bible says about marrying unbelievers. At least that's what he claimed until he wanted a divorce. How the hell was I supposed to know he wasn't a believer? The church did nothing to hold my ex accountable, and neither did anyone who was at our wedding (which is actually what having guests is for). So I stand by my statement and actually, going through divorce as a Christian makes it even harder to trust in the promise of "forever."

I apologize if my comment came off condemning or judgmental. That wasn’t its intention. I didn’t want to assume you were speaking of yourself, which is why I was careful with my words. I’m sorry that you experienced one of the worst broken promises anyone can experience, which is the promise of “til death do you part”. I’m also sorry that he didn’t commit to his vows to you, but he doesn’t reflect Gods character. God never breaks His promises. We see this continually throughout the Bible. The Bible begins and ends with marriage- Adam and Eve in the garden, and The Wedding Supper of the Lamb. Jesus calls us, the church, His bride, and promised to return for us. He doesn’t do divorce. Once you believed, you became a member of His church, His bride, and He promised to never leave you nor forsake you. I can only imagine how hard your circumstance has been, and I’m sorry you had to experience that. I pray that you get the support that you need to heal. ❤️

@@shanetasadie No, you're good. Thank you for being loving and gentle. That's unusual for the internet, so I really appreciate your kindness. I really want to believe that God doesn't break God's promises, but it feels like God has broken one of His promises to me - I'm seeking Him on that, but it's really hard. Either way, thank you so much for your humility, kind words, and gentleness. Truly.

This is one of a thousand reasons I left Christianity. There are thousands of different Christian denominations, all with different theology, and all claiming to be led by the spirit and the Bible when interpreting the meaning of the Bible. Either everyone is lying, the Holy Spirit is schizophrenic, or everyone is mistaken.
Whichever it is, it is painfully obvious that this is all made up.

Religion is flawed, Because man is flawed. It makes sense why there are so many different interpretations and denominations Because we as humans are sinful. The true meaning of the word sin is khata wich actually means "to miss" or "to miss the mark". And as far as lying look at the 12 apostles. 11 of them died horrible horrible deaths at the hands of the Romans who told them stop preaching about this Jesus dude or we'll kill you. Most were crucified, Peter chose to be crucified upside-down because he said "I don't deserve to die as my savoir did" and I believe one of them was skinned alive. Why lie? They didn't receive any power or money they died excruciating deaths and all they had to do to stop was to deny Jesus. The only apostle who wasn't executed was the apostle John. He was brought before emperor Nero, he wanted John thrown in a vat of boiling oil but when the 2 soldiers threw him in nothing happened. Nero then threw one of the soldiers in the vat and he died instantly, John's skin wasn't even warm. So instead Nero exiled him to the isle of Patmos where he wrote the book of revelation. It doesn't make sense for the apostles to go through such hardship on a lie. Could all 12 of them have hallucinated the whole thing like people with schizophrenia? Yes because anything is possible. Is it probable no. All of them having a mental illness and hallucinating the exact same thing and willing to be butchered for it? I don't have enough faith to be an atheist.

@@PhthaloGreenskin I know the stories. There are martyrs in nearly every major religion… lots of them. Do you believe Islam is true because of the faith of the suicide bombers?
