Not only is the Final Image so beautiful but also the asmr and the whole video is well made ... Quality Content
I don’t remember ever fixing distortion in my shots for the same reasons..it’s a creative decision that really adds something different to wide angle images. As someone that’s grown up hunting the peaceful nature sounds are welcoming and hipnotic for me personally. Really enjoy your work and how you present it.
Love the introduction - driving down the dark road..and great image, thanks
Brilliant! Great to see you out in your element again Nick.
Great location, awesome shot Nick!
Get these night shots before the skies fill with planes again....... Nice work.
What a fantastic final image! It would be cool to see a quick video on how you would go about blending those 4 images together like that!
Beautiful photograph. Im impressed how you composed it with the Milky Way just to the left of the schoolhouse. Mad skills.
Nick! You are the "Master" Love the way you lighted the interior of the school.
Very cool shot, awesome night sky. Glad you explained the thought process behind the lens distortion. 👍🏻😎
Great final blend. Everything fits together. Would you explain us your secrets how to blend those images together?
ruclips.net/video/_hX-yIejU_g/видео.html The church photo is similar to this one (around 50min mark).
Bravo Nick! That series of images and the final composite are f'n spectacular. Awesome. But your whole story telling video is beautiful. One of your best videos in a long time. Thanks for posting this.
An amazing picture. An another great Nick Page Video.
I for one really like the wide angle distortion. It adds to the ethereal feeling of the image.
Excellent video production and not even finished watching it yet. Love this style
That image was so cool and loved how you showed the different components to it. Great video as always Nick
I just wanna say, I really respect you for giving a shit about others and their surroundings! To many oblivious people out there that can care less that you exist and they do what they want when they wanna do it, it’s a respect issue I think and it is a big part of what’s wrong in America, but I stay positive and do my own thing a lot, I like being alone so I can think for myself and my kids lol.
So interesting the way you built each separate frame to create the final image. Lots of good advice here I'll be taking with me when I try my hand at milky way this summer.
Can you please do more of these astrophotography videos. I remember seeing the one of you with the truck in the field and that was my inspiration to begin trying astro and I have certainly grown to love it!
Had to laugh Nick, you set off my Home Pod to set a 3 minute timer !! Another great video mate.
Cheers from down under 👍🏼❤️🍷🇦🇺
Nice blend great work in removing red lights. Like the key approach to your video.
Excellent video, Nick. I love how the image turned out. Also great choice of music. Perfectly fits the mood. It's the only time I listen to this kind of music when taking astro images to bring me in to space travelling mood lol.
Great to see you out and about Nick. Beautiful image and great video. Thanks.
All I can say is Wow! Great shot, and great video. More please!!
Clever planning and technique to produce a great image.
Loved the opening format. The shot...well that was amazing as usual! Awesome!
this style of videography is soo great
Nice to see you on here again! Enjoyed the subdued atmosphere!
Great video, great image! Loved the audio throughout - really added to the experience.
Wow! I loved that final image. Awesome video great work
Thanks for another great video, Nick. Both enjoyable to watch, inspiring with the composition ideas and very useful with the technique information. I will be able to use this over the next few weeks. Very timely. I really like the time lapse approach and look forward to trying it. I know Mads Peter Iversen uses that technique when he wants to place himself in an image but a fair distance away. Useful for more than just "time lapse". (Also noted the new bag. I see Thomas and Gavin have one as well. Already ordered mine.)
Nicely done! Beautiful final image. At the beginning of the video when you have your back to the camera and it zooms in slightly, I imagined Gavin coming up behind you, "What you doing Nick?" Any news on "F4 Road Trip Part Deux"?
Nick, great video and stunning photograph. Thank you for sharing
Awesome video and final image. Thanks Nick!
Beautiful image Nick and thanks for another great video. You are a brave man, so glad we don’t have coyotes here in Aus. They sound so incredibly spooky especially when your near an old ghost town 😄
i came for the astro but i left with some great film making inspiration too. cheers Nick!
Embrace distortion when using such wide angles, totally agree. Fantastic imagery!
Really cool shot and nice video Nick, many thanks! 🙏👏🌌
Awesome shot Nick! Please make a video on how you edited the final image :)
Awesome shot, great to have you back!
Excellent audio! As for the LENR; As a Washingtonian myself that is currently living in Mexico, In my experience the LENR really becomes important as it gets hotter and the exposures longer. Apparently you get way more "hot" pixels in the heat. I actually thought I had damaged my camera until I tried shooting in our caves (cooler) and the hot pixels reduced again to "Washington" levels WHEW 😅
Gotta love Milkyway season here in the PNW!!
Great video Nick. Glad to see you again!
Smashed it again Nick. Really enjoy your style mate. Can’t wait for the next vid. 🤙
Great vid Nick and a fantastic image. Loving the less is more. Here in Oz we have a guy name Richard Tatti. You probably have watched him. Has a RUclips channel named nightscape images. This man is a great light painter of nightscape.
Great video Nick. Very cool photo too. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate the ‘how to’ information you provided on the technique and image settings.
Excellent work and photo Nick.
Great vid, love the final shot!
Lovely shot, the Milky Way harnesses that ground light as its own.
And the two opposing light sources of the silo and Arch holding the MW as you move across the jaded school a broken window to the night sky.
Cheers.
Incredible shot. Wide angle distortion stand out beautifully. Absolutely love the final image.
Thank you. Very moving.
Stunning Nick!! Thank you! Love to watch you process the images into the final shot!
Great video, wonderful image and
fabulous narration.
Amazing photo and a great video!!!
High quality video and shot ! Have that lens. Can’t wait to test it out.
Excellent video! Audio was awesome!
That's a neat place! Not too long ago, that spire was still standing tall.
Man... your video and storytelling skills are getting better and better, dude. Loved it!
Long overdue video my Friend... The rode mic did awesome as did the A7iii... loved the final shot!!
Wow Nick.. Awesome shot!!
Great video Nick. Thanks!
Awesome work Nick!!!
My God , this was one your best videos. Your video production and story line is spot on. I always love your video and photos . I also love Landscape Astrophotography and watch alot of videos on RUclips. But this one Nick is one of the best I seen. I love to little to no dialogue at the beginning style. Look forward to more Astrophotography from you
great vid and happy I had the headphones on.
Thanks for doing this. Beautiful image! I appreciate the time you take to do your video of getting there and setting up.
Nick, How cool. I stumbled onto that school house about five years ago just as a big storm was approaching. I couldn't have asked for a better sky at the time. You are right the building has deteriated in a few short years. I always appreciate your videos and your photography.
Great image. Thanks for the tips. I've been using a star tracker, but I think your method is much better.
Nice one Nick! Great video!
Im loving this!
Damn that's a great shot, thanks for sharing. Love these spectacular images.
very good image...love it
That place gives me the willies every time I go there. There's another place just south of there that's even creepier and darker!!
Excellent video, Nick! The 2+ minutes before you started speaking are especially good - almost visceral. And the coyotes howling give it the perfect vibe! Well done.
The final shot turned out great. Beautiful shot. You did well on the red light in the background. Awesome as usual Nick. I love when you do Astrophotography because it reminds me of when I stumbled onto your site yrs ago. The very first video I watched was a night shot with a single tree and you explained how to do light painting. I have since done many Astro photos and light painting of my own. It all started with that video.
So glad to see you doing Astro again Nick and without a metal pipe bring dragged in the background lol 👍🏻
Instead he threw in the coyote barks for the same effect…
Thanks Nick
Finally getting darker here north of 50. Inspired me to get out and doing some astro- landscaping. Missing my quiet nights in the counrty seeing stars, listening to the coyotes singing, and the farm dogs barking 'encore'.
Cheers
Howard Koch
Very cool Nick! I was just outside this morning at am doing the same thing
Nice...very nice! BTW replaced my camera bag with Shimoda based on your review, thanks, love it.
Crispy Audio! Sounds like we're there with you! Great Vid!
Great image Nick and totally agree with you being considerate to local residents. can I ask how you got rid of the red lights from around the buildings in the bottom left? Very impressive.
Super Photo great video Nick
Awesome final image, loved the light painting scenes.
Big Man on the rampage again, Great stuff. Great stuff !!! so pls to confirm it's a few images put together here ?
Very cool image and video. 👍🏻
Glad to see you back posting Nick hope you are doing well!
Wonderful shot Nick !!
With iphone and A7 series, I advice you to use Camrote app, much more powerful than the Sony one to do long exposure...
Bro... Good stuff. Love it
I love it!
Beautiful image Nick, really enjoyed the video. Richard
Epic image!
Beautiful!
I agree, the whole story telling video and cinematic shots and explaining of the how and why of the photo methods and settings is very pleasing, effective awesome👍! Thank you.
awesome.
I get it, I have to try astro photo this summer ! Stop pushing me ! :D
Nice B roll, very nice shot. A joy to watch, thanks Nick!
Awesome!
Great video well put together
Beautiful production. Simple, clean, compelling, and with the best kind of hands-on, useful info. Much appreciate the successive images of finished file, then backtracking to your raw files of sky and foreground then recap of finished files. Very skillful.
Wonderful! Great to see you back! I’ve always been hesitant to do astrophotography around anywhere where there’s another light source like the street lights in the background. Glad to see that can work
This is exactly what kinds of things I need. I truly want to do better at Milky Way shots but struggle to get a decent composition. Great video and a beautiful final imsge!!
