Glad to see you’re better and out and doing what you like best. I hope and pray you are fully healed and will stay this way. All the best and thank you for a great video again. 👍🙏
So good to see an on location Nick Page video. While i thoroughly enjoy and religiously watch every video, I can watch these ones all day. For me personally, i learn so much more from them.
Complete solitude. The best thing ever. On my 2019 fall trip to the Sierra Nevadas, we stopped by Tuolumne Meadows to fish the river there. It was freezing cold and windy for a few hours, but after sunset arrived, it was the most still and quiet I had ever heard the forest before. Quiet enough to hear nothing but the ringing in your ears. Not even birds were chirping or singing. I've been to alot quiet places in the mountains but that one takes the cake. Such an amazing experience when the forest becomes so still and quiet.
Except for heavily falling snow with accumulation on the ground. Heavy snowfall refracts light in a very cool way as well, especially with a long exposure.
Can almost hear Luke,Leia and the Storm Troopers on Their Speeder Bikes @ 12:22. Stunning. Crazy feeling watching your forest vids. Like I've just warped there. Bliss!!
Hi Nick, I have been following your videos for year but have never commented. I just want to thank you for your volume of work and putting such great quality in each video. Your tutorials are extremely helpful for an aspiring (and getting older) photographer and always inspire me to go out and do more. Thank you so much. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Looking forward to our paths crossing one day - Mike-
Your big sigh at the beginning is exactly what happens when I walk into a rainforest here in Australia...beautiful video, beautiful images, thanks for sharing Nick 🌿
I understand some planning is involved, as far as watching for conditions, but what a day to be in the field! That light was what landscape photographers wish happened more than once a year. Thanks for sharing your beautiful day brother. I hope there's more before in the near future.
Great production value. The sound is top notch and the way you show yourself taking photos and progressing through the area really helps with immersion.
I saw Adam Gibbs video here and he did a great job of capturing some of the epic scenes as well but your photos IMO were the juiciest of them all. Thanks for the great video.
As a long-time oil painter, and a beginning video/photo(within last year and half), must say, you witnessed and captured one of those rare moments. A year and half ago, I was at a wooded mountain, during/after a rain, late afternoon. The fog/mist was unbelievable. Always wish I had my cameras then. Yet, was starting out with Sony mirrorless, and knew little on settings. Having more knowledge since, yet still considering self a novice in this life of learning, praying to see and capture that moment you documented. As an oil painter of figurative, landscapes and still life, that subtle atmospheric lighting is more fascinating. The nuance of fog, along with sunlight beaming through...smh. Congrats!
I’m probably moving back to the Pacific Northwest this year (from Colorado) and I can’t wait to get back to these conditions. Great video and beautiful photos, thanks for sharing it with us.
Thank you for the video. I am a subscriber now and visited your website. Your images are fantastic. Your wave shots are perhaps the best I have ever seen and I have seen a lot as I am old dog that has been around for a long time!! I am in Vegas and long for scenes like you come across in your backyard. My backyard is Red Rock Canyon, a unique place for sure but it is no magical Northwest forrest. I look forward to your next video. Thanks
Awesome video and photography! It would be a cool follow up video if you showed how you process the shots next week. I admire your skills and the beauty you show us!! Glad you're up and around!
Woohoo, Nick Page is out and about in the forest with his bacpack sliping in the mud. Glad to see you up and back at it. By the way, did you ever look at your back display when the overexposure warning is flashing and think, hmm that looks like bats flying through the trees. Glad you are doing better Mr. Page.
Thanks for the tips on shooting in a forest under these conditions. Despite living in Oregon (east Gorge) this past week was the first time in many years I’ve spent any significant time on the coast. I will return soon. So much to work with, from crashing surf against rocky headlands to quiet, fog-filled forests.
Whew what conditions! Man always find woodlands such a challenge even with good light, that dynamic range. Would love to see the raws to finished, maybe just to better understand the starting points.
Some epic shots there dude. Woodland photography is my weakness in landscape
The sunlight on the bottom of the tree trunk is an absolute cracker of an image... my favorite.
What a great morning out in the bush! So good to have those conditions and the light at the end. Oh my . . . . . Perfect.
This was a nice peaceful way to start my day. Now time to go deliver packages for UPS and saw hello to all of my regulars. Happy Monday all
Just majestically beautiful, golden greens and atmoshere. Beautiful, Nick.
Glad to see you’re better and out and doing what you like best.
I hope and pray you are fully healed and will stay this way. All the best and thank you for a great video again. 👍🙏
One of the best presentations I have seen. Two words, " Soul Stirring"
Lovely Nick. I especially liked the image with that splash of light on the single trunk. Very special 👍👍👍
My favorite conditions. Especially when the sun breaks through the fog and dapples the trunks. And of course beams!
The way you take that deep breath in at the start of the vlog kinda says it all. Beautiful photos, beautiful conditions, lucky man.
So good to see an on location Nick Page video. While i thoroughly enjoy and religiously watch every video, I can watch these ones all day. For me personally, i learn so much more from them.
how did i miss another good woodland photography channel
My favourite thing with fog, the sound... or almost complete lack of sound, its never as quiet as it can be in a wood in the fog. And its glorious.
Complete solitude. The best thing ever.

Check out a remote canyon in Utah, when it's not windy.
My kind of place. Peace and quiet, solitude.
Watching this while smoking a bowl sets the mood before I go to work. Good show, Sir.
Your instruction in this video was excellent and included reminders even for your more seasoned viewers. Thanks!
Nick, I love yours photos, and the way you talk about photography since a long time. This video is so beautiful. Good evening. Chris.
One of my absolute favorite subjects and places to be, in the forest & with fog 🙌🏼🙌🏼🫶🏼
complete zen 🌲🌿🧘🏻♀️✨🙏🏼✨🌲🌲🌲 beautiful images Nick
A calming, straight-forward video with helpful tips, no extra BS and great images. THANK YOU.
Those are the kind of scenes. I would love to be in one day and photograph myself.
It's one thing to get the perfect lighting, fog, mist etc but a whole other thing to take the photo, amazing stuff, great job.
Can almost hear Luke,Leia and the Storm Troopers on Their Speeder Bikes @ 12:22. Stunning. Crazy feeling watching your forest vids. Like I've just warped there. Bliss!!
Glad you're feeling better and back out there! Nothing beats a good day outside after a long hiatus.

I really appreciate the kind words Mike thank you!
WOW, WOW, WOW!! Incredible light and amazing images!
I love the mist, it's always magical....same with snow, too. Therefore, i do adore the fall and winter season, not the creepy sun, and heat to excess.
What an absolute pleasure this video was.
Mystical Magical Forest. You captured its Soul and Heart! Epic.
Nice to see you outdoors again Nick. Great video and a wonderful set of images from our PNW forests.
Many thanks for the wonderful photos and insights. Woodlands and fog/mists are always a fabulous combo....
Fella you looked so “Zen” and “at one with the world” it was so relaxing to watch

I'm so glad to see you vertical again, Nick. Beautiful photographs, especially the angled light on the moss covered tree trunk.
This is why you're my fave youtube photographer. Stunning pics
That was a pretty good day out with the camera... awesome, Nick

Great production value. The sound is top notch and the way you show yourself taking photos and progressing through the area really helps with immersion.
Glad you are up and hiking again! Awesome work too!
Thanks for sharing Nick, what a amazing morning and images captured, the mist really makes woodland photography.
I saw Adam Gibbs video here and he did a great job of capturing some of the epic scenes as well but your photos IMO were the juiciest of them all. Thanks for the great video.
