We bought our Honda pilot for all five of these reasons. The backseat second row is so nice the air conditioner on the back row beat anything the Toyota could have it is so comfortable.😊
5 reason to get grand Highlander 1. Offers more space 2. Offers a hybrid powertrain 3. Offers more power numbers (HybridMax) 4. More configurations 5. Looks is subjective but since u guys mentioned it. 6. Better tech and can get a bigger screen even on the base trim
@@dhyeyapatel1626you fool. You really have no clue. You Americans really think that low and are very arrogant. Go to African Nations, and you'll see it's much more sophisticated than you'd ever dream.
I absolutely love the middle bench, it is almost impossible to find a fully loaded 8 seater!! Only for that reason I’m considering a pilot, otherwise I would never even think about it!
I got the hybrid max. The savings on a gas makes it worth it. In time the gas prices will go up and now there's more electric cars. The gas will go up even more. So it will be worth the savings on hybrids. When the honda pilot makes a hybrid and better infotainment center. That maybe the game changer in buying grand highlander or pilot.
Hybrid Max doesn't save that much more on Gas. And that battery replacement will definitely cost alot more than the savings. The Max is pretty fast tho.
@travisstrickland7270 that battery has 100,000 mile warranty . I don't have to plug it in. I cruise slow through neighborhood on ECO mode . It's fantastic. There's better hybrids but I can camp in this. It's roomy to sleep inside it on a trip. If it proves to me, not a great vehicle, I'll get rid of it at end of warranty. But I'm loving it for now. I almost got the regular hybrid but darn this one is so much fun.
Can’t move the middle seat with 3in1 child seats on it, like I can in the Grand Highlander. It’s a tight entrance to the 3rd row with those child seats on but at least it’s doable, while in the Honda Pilot really we can’t do that… 🤷♀️
I had it with Honda and Acura. Only Toyota and Lexus regardless 48 years of ownership of a dozen of the most popular brands from 3 continents proved Toyota/Lexus the best overall based on reliable, quality, technology, design, dealership support, resale, insurance, spare parts logistics, independent mechanics perspectives and recommendations etc.
@nidjay6991 that boomer knows his shit. Toyota beats Honda now. In the 90s and 2000s not so much. Honda really screwed up putting a 1.5 turbo earth dreams motor in the majority of their cars. That motor is absolute trash
Seriously though, give reasons. We're not out here shilling for the Grand or the Pilot. We're out here trying to make informed choices cause it's money, reliability, and comfort.
2023 Toyota Highlander base $36,600 2023 Honda Pilot base price $36,300 2024 Toyota Highlander Grand base price $44,400 According to Consumer Reports Toyota is the most reliable brand with the lowest maintenance and repair costs, compared with all other brands. Lexus is second. I’ve owned both brands, imo Toyota is cheaper to own. I’ve owned four Toyota’s. Two 2005 Matrix’s 200,000 miles and no repairs. One 2005 Tacoma Prerunner 4 door 200,000 miles and no repair’s all three still on the road. Latest is a 2019 Highlander 17,000 miles no problems. Do your own research check Consumer Reports and crash test data etc. Buy whatever you want. I’m buying Toyota. It’s the best value for my dollar.
Honda Pilot is the 3rd most reliable suv to make to 250k+ , With toyota its the 4 runner with regular engines not turbo charge engines like the newer models

I would disagree In this case, typically true but it's a turbo charged engine in the toyota unless you go hybrid. that V6 in the honda will last longer, it's inherent to its design
@tomaskroupakkfoto4132 it is? The powertrain options are a turbo charged 4 cylinder, hybrid with normal 4 cylinder, or hybrid Max with the turbo as well. Turbos inherently put more pressure on the engine by pushing out more HP out of a smaller engine, and the added turbines in a turbo are more parts to break. A naturally aspirated engine will always outlast a turbo, doesn't mean a turbo is necessarily a bad engine but it does mean if you want to go past 250k miles you would definitely go for a natural v6 over the turbo by far
@@Al1235the thing I wonder is even if Toyota is more reliable compared to Honda, are they more reliable enough to justify spending more than a Honda for similar equipment in this case? Like you’re likely not gonna make back the money spent upfront and even if you did, it’d take a long time.
Maybe before but not recently. Toyota with turbo charged engine??? Hell no!!! Besides lots of recalls too with Toyota.... There is no perfect car thougj. Just maintain it accordingly. 😊
This Honda is fantastic car
Agreed

Honda is always ahead of Toyota to me I have used them for so many years here in Nigeria and don't have any issues with honda products sorry Toyota
Just asking are there honda dealers in Nigeria

Really struggled to find 5 reasons on this one
3 row has terrible thigh support.
I like the captain chair in the middle though
@@sakibc1787 the highlander comes with captain chairs
@@snacking5908 hate captains chairs.
Does it have the front legroom to accommodate tall drivers like the Grand Highlander?
The grand Highlander uses the extra space for the third row.
Yes😅
I absolutely love the middle bench, it is almost impossible to find a fully loaded 8 seater!! Only for that reason I’m considering a pilot, otherwise I would never even think about it!
I bought the Hyundai Santa Fe Limited because it had bench seats.

@travisstrickland7270 compared to my old truck I get double the gas mileage and love it's power

Noice rig, but why people say 8-passenger when it's obviously only 7 passengers... ;-)
Well depends Japs are small so 8 would fit but if we're talking Mexicans 18
U can make it 7 or 8 seats by removing the middle seat in the second row 😊
Not 8 passenger--7 passengers and one driver. @@andrewT644

Timing belt in 2023?
If the biggest thing you can come up with is a once every 100,000 mile service item, then the Honda must be a great car.
He just gave me 5 reasons to go with the Grand.
How so?
Can understand 4, but reason #1 is that it's more affordable. Do you want to pay more money? Lol
Why would anyone want a 4 cylinder turbo lol.

Finally, not a boring and dated Toyota car!!!
One of my favourite suv😊
Not convincing other than the middle pack away seat that cone in the middle row.
This looks better than Highlander
V6>i4 turbo
Haha! This video didn’t do Honda any favors.
This Honda looks great 👍🏾 👌🏽
Great #short!

Gear buttons? Pass.
No hybrid. No thanks. Honda come on. You are falling behind my dawg.
Hybrids are good until that battery goes out
@andrew881000 they have 10 year warranty so that means they work for that long. Which is long enough before one sells car and moves on.
Honda 🔥
They still have timing belts… no thanks

Infotainment looks outdated
