removing 70kg will have raised the rear suspension which in turn will effect the castor angle at the front which would make it feel a bit more twitchy... lose a bit of height at the rear and that should making the steering nicer
You've got it all wrong mate, if you want to make it go faster then just put racing stripes on it
And add stickers. 5 hp per sticker haha
Oh and u cant forget for the fake stick on air vents for more air intake! Lmao
Fixed back bucket seats and a UK size front plate and it's perfect. Don't know if it already has one but a good diff would make a huge difference on track.
"To go faster, add less weight"- Colin Chapman The man famous for designing Lotus super seven.
just a heads up, the mk1 Leons can lose a lot of rigidity when you remove the rear bench, definitely worth getting some sort of rear strut brace in there 👍
Ctek chargers are good, would recommend one of those.
As for weight, next step I would say is a pair of buckets, remove sound deadening & lightweight bonnet if you can find one.
I always leave the girlfriend at home, that sheds shit loads of weight.
ahaha
Lightweight racing battery(20-25lbs less), company called Braille makes one recommended for VW racing by USRT. Also idk if they make it for your car, XB brace since the rear seats are removed, will help with stiffening up the rear which is a huge plus.
polycarbonate windows on the back two doors, remove door cards, remove AC, fiberglass panels
I agree and bucket seats and racing
steering wheel
Sam Corson remove power steering don't need it if the car is going fast enough
your the only person i watch who does car videos and i love them
fiberglass panels and lightweight seats. could also ix plastic windows and remove door speakers and window winding mechanisms to save weight. glass is probably the heaviest thing though
Yeh man looks so fresh! I'd definitely get some bucket seats, would reduce the weight a lot.
ctek trickle charger is what you want for the battery, also if you want even better handling get a set of uprated anti roll bars on it if you haven't already.
big up my snapchat crew
boqer123 love how the car turned out hope your wrist heals soon keeps up the amazing videos
whats your snapchat?
they are needed on a track car u will push the car harder as you feel supported
Sean Carter "boqer123.com"
boqer123 buy a bucket seat for drivers side leave passenger how it is and get a new "race" type steering wheel
seeing that grin when u first took it out. my cupra r never fails to put a smile on my face
I've only in this video heard the dump valves working, were they not before or just because they were serviced?
only 1 valve man, but yeah it's always been working. It's always been loud as, it's just the exhaust trumps it and covers the sound up most time I film
New steering wheel and definitely some proper racing seats?
Bucket seats ! And could also remove carpets they add some weight to the car
RudyDrift CG up here
Jog on Oskar 😉
Sound deadening weighs a shitload. Remove all of that and you'll lose another 15-20kgs over the whole car. Also ditched carpet, rear seats, AC compressor, lines and radiator, which came in at about 25 kgs. No AC compressor also takes load off the engine 😉
remove the engine.
I nearly vommed at ur hand, actually gagged. But i do love how clean it look's stripped out but still with carpet. Love it
ps, thank you for the shout out
6TWO1 hi
How far do you want to take this full race car or semi race car you should get a omp wheel, bucket seats harness half cage or full cage, strip all the doors of everything get some perspects windows, fibreglass or CF bonet, updated bushes all round interior gone except dash, brakes, brake lines, hoses, strut bar, camber plates, vents from the front fog lights to channel air to the brakes better, I could go on for days man awesome machine, definitely considering a colin someday
Put some bucket seats in the front, Take carpets out and lining but leave the door cards in. Really like the channel, Ordering some black joggers and a black rain coat, Love the videos keep it up!
Change front seats to lighter ones, strip the floormats in the rear. Strip the inside of rear doors, get lighter brake discs. There's a lot stuff that you can make to get rid of weight. You can always remowe the whole interior, A/C and radio.
A CTEK charger is what you need. I bought one with a comfort connector years ago, every time I park the car up I just plug it in. Sometimes it's only for a week, other times it's for 6 months. Never had any problems.
Boq, what car would u recommend for a first buy at 17, I like the Ibiza but any suggestions?
Rear strut brace?? Will you eventually cage it?
Such a nice car and new seats in the front
Josh put lighter bucket seats in it those stock once will weigh like 70-80kg alone !!!! 👊🏼
Replace most of the glass with perspex and strip out the rear doors completely, that could be another 30 to 40kg there. 👍
Get new Bucket seats (With harness), and a racing Steering wheel (NRG)
Would be sick.
Great video, like where your content is going.
BMX and cars is the best combination keep up the great work boqer! And please come to Burnham on sea again please I missed you last time man
I'd recommend putting some bucket seats in and change and the back windows to polycarbonate glass to save some weight
And also I recommend using the optimate 4 battery charger which is a trickle charger, I use this for my kart's battery as I race for a hobbie. I've used it for a few year now and had no problems with it what's so ever
Hope this helps, thanks
How is your dump valve connected dude as a think mines is wrong where does the Wee hose on the top go on yours????
what would you recommend for a first car to do up
Are you running the stock intake with the lid removed??
i broke the same thing, did you put your hand out to stop you and twanged your thumb? i got the cast
lighter shaft? Lighter flywheel too perhaps. don't wanna suggest further stripping the interior as im sure that's already been suggested. Or , racing seats w/ harnesses
I couldn't help but notice that it looks like Vossi is obviously loving your clothing brand as by your shirt and jumper is covered in cat hair haha;) Sick vid, maybe bucket seats (would be lighter), and a custom bqr steering wheel would look sick :)
Take all the carpet out & plastics in the rear, lighter/bucket seats, new wheel & boss/quick release! Should be hella fun
strip the carpets and get a proper seat and harnesses. also rear cabin strut brace would look sick!
Rear ultra racing strut is required now you have taken weight out the car/back. If you want a price get in touch :)
I use a few trickle chargers on my Mini cooper now it's garaged over winter from Japan. Can't go wrong with them.
Well you already have lightweight wheels so the next logical thing would be carbon fiber bonnet. If you go down the route of bucket seats and harnesses you must use 5 point compatible seats and 5 point harnesses as it's possible to slide under a 4 point harness (especially considering you are skinny buggers)
Hope your wrist has a speedy recovery, stay safe!
Could you not put the sub in the jag, or would it take up bike and bag space?
Thought about a new steering wheel? And polycarbonate rear passenger windows?
Good work mate , great vid' :D
Bqr what you should do take everything out the carpet than dry ice and take out the sound proofing than paint the inside than bucket seats
clicked only because I'm a sucker for hatches ... thankyou Europe for inventing them 👍
what is the sub cos I would like to get one and would you recommend it?
The cloth and carton piece from the roof is pretty heavy, so if you don't care about it you can take it off relatively easy. The back plastics that hold the roof also would have no point in that case, so they could get off as well. Hope I helped a bit :)
I think you should put bucket seats in boq with racing harnesses so then you will be a bit more safer if something went wrong plus the seats will help weight a bit
What kind of blow off is That :) you dont have Any trouble running s blowoff? I am running a forge splitter and my E-gas dont like it
Hey josh i was just wondering what turbo is on your cubra ??
What's the highest speed on ur civic after u took the back seats out?
Dude, want me to come down with the angle grinder?
I drive along all the same roads all the time at 10:10. Im from Gloucester too :D
Bucket seats will make it lighter, also a new steering wheel maybe? also make it so you can take the passenger seat out and back in by just a couple of bolts so you can remove it at will
Should I do this to my 2012 Audi rs3 or a 2010 Audi A6??
Your "spare" wheel looks nicer than my normal wheels... **Cries**
Cupra R come with full sized spares haha
Sparco seats next man, for sure!
Such a nice car and It looks way better
i have the same sub from fusion with the 1.000 watt monoblock amp is sick!!
Oh he will wrap it alright, around a tree some day.
Fuck driving with a spider in the car haha. Love the videos on the cupra
do you sell the armwrest ? with bracket and fasteners ?
Next thing to do if you want to save big weight would be to add Carbon fibre bonnet plus just any carbon body panels but when you do that will have to add a little be of aero to the front to add down force
Who did you get that subwoofer from?
Not liking my 1.8t BAM engine like... got an S3 and the thing is breaking every time I take the friggin thing out.
Its misfiring AGAIN after having an 02 sensor on the weekend. Can't win!
I fix it... and it break again. Always something new though, I'll give it that.
Love vids about Collin! Keep them coming :)
should deffo customise your garage, like paint the floor a nice thick Grey, also get new seats, like really comfy buckets or lighter ones depending on your preference,
If you want to remove all rear panels but don't want all the road noise put some sound deadener in it's fairly light and it will help a lot wit road noise
Some nice light buckets and a half cage for harnesses. Might make the back more twitchy though 👌🏻
Car looks sweet!
once again an amazing video
thank you kiwi x
was so happy to see you at nass and boardmasters
Take the front seats out n replace with lightweight bucket seats carpets and take the glass out and replace with sheet plastic ( if u are only going to use it on the track ).
You should put Race Seats into this Beautie. And also you could put like some Carbon Fibre on the Inside of the Doors, that would look so amazing! Shout out from Germany, love your Videos!
Bucket seat, dude. Stop you from moving about in corners. Uprated discs and pads too if you haven't already. Not drilled discs though as they are prone to crack when going through heat cycles when track driving.
Hey Boqer, me again. Great vid, keep it up :)
Nice video boqer
- Polycarbonate rear window and perhaps rear passenger windows.
- I'd leave drivers and passenger side windows glass for convenience.
- Strip out the rear carpets and door cards.
- Swap out the steering wheel for a nice momo (lose the steering wheel airbag in the process)..
- Strip out the air con & head unit considering you don't spend too much time doing long journeys in the car.
- Swap drivers and passenger seats for something light like Recaro Pole Positions.
- Rear roll cage - should stiffen up the rear.
- Harness bar & some harnesses
- S3 disks & callipers
Roll cage will add way to much weight
Rear strut brace instead of roll cage
Safety > Speed
Ryan Marshall cages are dangerous in road cars..
bradders3535 how is it dangerous having a roll cage in a road car I have had them in all mine and they been ok
I love your old skol vans
Boq, it won't be more tail happy now because you've got less weight in the back, so hence more grip relative to before. As for weight saving, you've got to go buckets now, surely?!
Boq, how bad where the lights with the fly eye on?
possibly put in race sets but dont know whether they are lighter or not
I'm so excited for those hats xP
im excited to release them
boqer123 How much will they be? or will is be a surprise? haha
10-12 quids i think
bruh!!! that's well cheap
ManlyManChildHD tried to keep the cost down so I could sell them as cheap as possible
Remove your brakes :) jkjk
almost funny
sentry he would definitely go fast
Dumb ways to diiiieeeee, so many dumb ways to diiiieeee
sentry weigh reduction
Suicide comments😂
Roll Cage, Steering Wheel, LED Lights, Bucket Seats, Aluminium Exhaust & Aluminium Engine components. Remove headliner, Sterio system, A/C, everything if you want to go FULL race car/track smasher.
Not sure how much of a difference it will make but you should get a quick release steering wheel
how fast did you make that car go
Polycarb windows at rear, new racing steering wheel, probably put a anti-roll bar in back too just to help out on track, get bucket seats with harness
Unplug your battery when the car is sitting, you only have to unplug the positive or negative cable.
Bucket seats up front, race steering wheel, carpets out, straight pipe and k&n air filter for more flow. All speakers out, and door plastics.
Could you please tell me all the specs of your car please! 😄😄
what do you want to know?
boqer123 Literally Everything please! Highly appreciated! Love your videos! 👊👊👊👊👊👊👊
updated car check
boqer123 everything
Stock lol
that little curb at your gate would end my EP3's life.
New bucket seats, and some Carbon fiber pieces like a bonnet and stuff?
Is it the same motor as a vw mk4 1.8t ?
To make it lighter, take the entire dashboard out so its just a seat, steering wheel, pedals, gearstick, and indicators etc. Take the other seat out or swap them light, fixed bucket seats. Take the door cards off, get rid of the carpets, fit lighter wheels.. Basically just strip the car of everything that isn't essential😂
And in the case of the battery, get a new one, maybe a new alternator and belt too, then take it for a good half hour to an hour's drive at least once a week and you'll be fine!
Get the entire engine serviced, the turbo, filters, spark plugs, injectors, cylinders etc haha
swap out the front seats for lightweight racing seats with harnesses, rear door cards removed and carpet etc, lightweight racing steering wheel
Remove the carpet and you will find out that some cars have some sound retardant pieces on the floor near the firewall, also if you have the other types of sound reducing sheets on the floor they are normally harden. You can chip them away or use dry ice and after a few mins remove the dry ice you can crack the sheet and remove them quicker. Its is time consuming but you will drop a ton of weight. Here is my take on interior you need 2 font seat steering wheel and maybe a dash that all. Good luck
What year is this
best trickle charger deal ever!
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal, and keep the spanner in your glovebox.
..Or go the smart route, and fix whatever's draining your battery. Most modern cars shouldn't drain the battery that fast.
When are you doing a collab with jamie fyd?
