I’m very much a dark wood girlie but the way the green neutralised that red was astonishing, although it’s basic colour theory, to actually see it truly neutralise it! It gave the wood a calming Scandinavian feel, I think. ☺️
The outside was amazing the scandinavian look with the colour and style was great blue me away how the red just disappeared. Not a fan of how the paper took it away from the scandi look and turned into 60s look. But it showcases your artistry for design. Well done x❤
Love the paper - gives it a funky, young feeling that it needed after the colourwash. Also really happy to see the odies adding a little bit of warmth and definition back to the grain (though that was probably still showing irl) But the reason I watch every video and try to comment every time is the kindness and respect you give to each and every piece, cheap chipboard or beautyful burl - every piece you touch lookes loved when it leaves your hands. Thanks for putting that energy into the world
So fresh! This looks fab but I think the biggest take away I get from your work is the importance of patience and pay attention to detail work, thanks!
I hit the like button before I even watched the video! I honestly dont think you have ever made a video that I wasn't in love with the outcome. Your driveway looks like mine right now, Love from ALASKA!
Just a little FYI: I watch a channel unrelated to furniture where the host took a You Tube university course for her graduate degree in journalism and she learned a lot of the ins and outs of YT that are not commonly known. She said that if a viewer hits the like button within the first 60 seconds of viewing, RUclips interprets it as a bot instead of a human and many times will negatively affect the video's algorithm. So as confident as you are that you are going to like the video, just give it a minute before liking it. Happy viewing :)
Hi Angie....different than what we expect of you. I'm always very happy when artists break the mold. I can see this piece in a room whose walls are of a darker color Love it. Thank you.❤
Nowhere to go But Up on this Basic Model Brown UGGO! And WOW, You used its own Minimalism to Accentuate the Simple line! A Real Utilitarian Beauty! Oh, and BLEAH on all that Snow! Too Much for Me! (Cold Emoji).
Another beautiful piece. Definitely the dark legs. Yeah I would have never picked that interior color stick on paper I wouldn't have been able to imagine it. It looks very good. You Definitely have the eye for design.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that despises when manufacturers slap hardboard on the back of a piece! A thin piece of plywood would cost about the same and would look a VASTLY better! LOL
That interior paper, along with the dark legs, pulled together the interior and exterior perfectly. I love this piece. But then, even when you do something that's not my style, I always love your work!!
Oh goodie! Another video. I love them so much I wait until I'm settled on the couch, with my laptop and blankie and can devote ALL my energy to it. Wonderful job as always.
Hi, The piece looks terrific. I hope you don't mind a suggestion. The big reveal at the end is my favorite part. Showing a photo of the finished piece before I watch takes the excitement and mystery out of the big reveal. I'm a big fan and love your show. Thanks
I love that you vacuumed your blouse! This neutral wash is GORGEOUS! The dark legs are so elegant! I love everything on this piece! Thanks so much for sharing
Omg! The snow, the cold! It was 75 here today! (Florida!). I’m 66 and have never seen snow like that! EVER! How do y’all do it? This piece was educational with the light wash color. Something to think. It reminds me of a turntable/vinyl record storage unit.
Any of us that are born here are used to it - it's a MASSIVE shock to anyone who moves here though, I can tell you that much. I'm so glad you like it!!
You certainly gave this piece a whole new lease on life :) The light result harkens back to the "blonde" Scandinavian finishes that were so popular in the 50's and 60's and is in keeping with the design of the piece. Beautiful quality work!
I like the light color with the contrast of the darker interior. The wallpaper looks great! Gives it interest. I liked seeing the woodgrain still come through. Awesome piece, Angie. Thanks for sharing.
I didn't even notice the 'one piece' veneer pattern across the whole front face - the lighter tone really brought that to life...great choice Ange! Your videos are always informative, interesting, educational, and a joy to watch. We've got 38 degrees C with 85%+ humidity in my neck of the woods so that snow looks so inviting (though I'm sure that's not how it feels on your end LOL)
I tend to save those for the laminate pieces, or ones with pretty cheap species of veneer like birch. For things like mahogany and walnut, I'd rather just let the grain be the focus, but I definitely plan to do some more soon!
It looks sooooo nice! While I watched this, I thought about some furniture pieces I own and, for sentimental reasons, can't part with, this type re-do would be perfect. As always, I'm a fan of your meticulousness.
Absolutely beautiful! I didn't like anything about this piece before you transformed it. You have such an amazing gift for seeing the hidden potential in a piece!
Loved the way this piece turned out! I really appreciated the color matching you did here with the stains, wallpaper (love love love it!) And staging decorations. That Algonquin paint by Fusion is a chameleon. It's beige without being boring. It matches very nicely with the dark mahogany interior and that wallpaper. The colors on that you picked up with those carnival glass pieces and the bourbon/whiskey bottle. Very nice presentation!!!! Oh and yeah I would totally buy this piece. Would look right at home in my home office! Cheers and stay warm!
That is absolutely beautiful!! I love that paper too! It all just works so well together! You are too good at what you do girly 😊 I love watching your transformations, and I always learn something new! So thank you very much for sharing! That finish really does look like buttery goodness, and the Odie’s also adds so much depth to everything that you use it on! I appreciate that you always share which products you use
Forget the cabinet, I want the glasses!!😂😂😂. Looks absolutely stunning as usual Angie! You are so talented, and have great visions for all of your pieces…. 😊❤
Lovely result as always, very fresh and inviting :D That middle panel in the front could use some of your art drawn on top (to harmonise it with the wallpaper perhaps?), I hope the buyer will be so artistically inclined to ask you to do so :D
I tend to save those for the laminate pieces, or ones with pretty cheap species of veneer like birch. For things like mahogany and walnut, I'd rather just let the grain be the focus, but I definitely plan to do some more soon!
I think it is beautiful-so much better than the original dark version. Your decisions are always right on. I’m amazed at your skill with the peel-and-stick! I’m challenged with that-even sticky notes give me trouble. Excellent job! ⭐️
Nicely done! I love the colours, use of wallpaper to perk up the interior and the Ollie's finish! You always make the pieces sing, Angie! Thank you for sharing! Another Angie 😊
I'm glad to see you were able to dig yourself out of that dumping of snow you guys got. I love that you can imagine something like this and make it look like it was always meant to be.
Hehe, feeling a little biased when I hit "like" even before the video comes up, but your films, work experience and results are always worth it. Brilliant as always, Angie. xxx from Mette in Norway:)
Interesting, thank you. I prefer dark wood too, but we have many inherited European burr walnut pieces (my grandmother was Austrian) and they are more orange than expresso, & beautiful, despite my description.
I prefer the natural tones of walnut, mahogany, and rosewood but this is beautiful. Good choice on the dark legs as it helps to ground the piece. All in all another great job, Angie.
I’m lukewarm on the aesthetics of this piece but I continue to be impressed with the quality workmanship you put in every piece. And, as always your work inspires me to try new things.
You've given this piece a timeless elegance with everything you've done with it. I especially love the Algonquin colour, and the interior paper lining.
I’m very much a dark wood girlie but the way the green neutralised that red was astonishing, although it’s basic colour theory, to actually see it truly neutralise it! It gave the wood a calming Scandinavian feel, I think. ☺️
I'm so glad you liked it!
The wallpaper really makes the inside pop.
The outside was amazing the scandinavian look with the colour and style was great blue me away how the red just disappeared. Not a fan of how the paper took it away from the scandi look and turned into 60s look. But it showcases your artistry for design. Well done x❤

To me they almost look like they belong in a Miyazaki film, that sort of animistic look
Thank you for this incredible comment - I really appreciate it and you. ❤️
Hear! Hear! Or as we say in New Orleans-Yeah, u rite!
This turned out gorgeous. It almost has a driftwood color😊😊
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Girl, you know that Algonquin paint wash has my cold, beige heart 😂 love this!!!
🤣😂 Thank you for that!!!
Ahh man, opening up youtube and seeing Transcend posted another video is the best feeling
I love that! 😀
Agree!
So fresh! This looks fab but I think the biggest take away I get from your work is the importance of patience and pay attention to detail work, thanks!
You're so welcome! 🙂
Another Masterpiece by Angie.
Thank you so much! 😊
I hit the like button before I even watched the video! I honestly dont think you have ever made a video that I wasn't in love with the outcome. Your driveway looks like mine right now, Love from ALASKA!
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
I do the same😊

The light and dark colors tie in very well and the retro paper gave it the pop it needed….Wow Angie this came out beautifully
Thank you very much! 😊
It’s those little details that really set your work apart. Staining that track edge helped so much!
I agree! Thank you very much! 😊
Love the light finish and that you can still see the wood grain. Love the pop of color inside too so fun❣️
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
The colors remind me of the Thomas O'brien console from Target that I own and love. This matches the color and style perfectly.
Thank you very much! 😀
Hi Angie....different than what we expect of you. I'm always very happy when artists break the mold. I can see this piece in a room whose walls are of a darker color
Love it. Thank you.❤
You're very welcome!
I loved seeing the snow at the beginning! I know it's a pain to deal with, but it sure is beautiful!! ❤
Thank you so much for watching! 😀
Dang Angie, you ate this. No crumbs! 🤩
So retro! I love it and the funky paper
Thank you so much! 😊
Nowhere to go But Up on this Basic Model Brown UGGO! And WOW, You used its own Minimalism to Accentuate the Simple line! A Real Utilitarian Beauty! Oh, and BLEAH on all that Snow! Too Much for Me! (Cold Emoji).
I like a lot less snow myself- cleaning it up is unpleasant! Thanks so much for watching! 😊
Another beautiful piece. Definitely the dark legs. Yeah I would have never picked that interior color stick on paper I wouldn't have been able to imagine it. It looks very good. You Definitely have the eye for design.
Thanks so much! 😊

Lovely! I like the cabinet colour and the wallpaper too :-D
Thanks so much! 😊

Thank you very much! 😊
I love how this piece turned out. The neutral is current, yet classic. The dark base and legs sit nicely with it. The wallpaper is a delight.
Thank you so much! 😊
Loved the way this turned out.
I'm so glad! 🙂
Hi,
The piece looks terrific. I hope you don't mind a suggestion. The big reveal at the end is my favorite part. Showing a photo of the finished piece before I watch takes the excitement and mystery out of the big reveal. I'm a big fan and love your show.
Thanks
I only do it on very rare occurrences, when a thumbnail wouldn’t make sense without a snippet of the “after” shot.
I like that you do different things depending on the piece.
Beautiful, stylish, elegant 💚
I appreciate that, thank you!
I love that you vacuumed your blouse! This neutral wash is GORGEOUS! The dark legs are so elegant! I love everything on this piece! Thanks so much for sharing
Oh yeah, that vacuuming moment was so cute! 😂🥰
You're so welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I loved the paper on the interior! Great work! 👍
Thanks so much! 😊

Wow, thank you!
I love it, as usual! Thank you, Angie!❤
You are so welcome! 😀
Love the wallpaper on the inside. It’s a wonderful surprise when the doors open.
A little pop of surprise colour! 😀
Beautiful and fresh!
I've yet to see a piece you've done that I don't like. Keep it up!
I definitely will! Thank you so much for watching! 😊
I really love love love this. The color turned out really beautiful.
Thank you so much! 😊
If I hadn’t watched you apply a paint wash I would have said it was a light color wood with a clear coat. Well done.
So true.
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful! Love it!❤❤❤
Thank you so much! 😊
It looks so good! I love the unexpected bright yellow floral inside, too.
Thank you very much! 😀
I love!!! The description about the wood types and that you are very thorough in telling us what you are doing. You’re the best Angie
Awe, thank you! I really appreciate that!
I like the light color with the contrast of the darker interior. The wallpaper looks great! Gives it interest. I liked seeing the woodgrain still come through. Awesome piece, Angie. Thanks for sharing.
You're so welcome! 🙂
I wasn't sure about your colour choice but the end product is beautiful.
Thank you kindly!
So beautiful! I love your work!
Thank you so much! 😊
I’m typically a darker wood lover, but I think this turned out perfectly and elongated the redness.
Thank you so much for watching! 😀
It looks a 1,000% better, you did a beautiful job on making it worth keeping for another 60-70 years! 💕👌👍💕
Thank you kindly! 🙂
Oh...she's gorgeous!!!❤
I'm glad you like it! 😊
I didn't even notice the 'one piece' veneer pattern across the whole front face - the lighter tone really brought that to life...great choice Ange! Yikes!! Maybe if we could combine the two we'd be onto something! 38 C is a little warm for my blood. 😊
Nice eye. A far more attractive piece than when new. Love your work.
Thank you so much 😀
That came out very nice! I like the dark interior and I think the paper works well and give the piece a quirky pop!
I'm so glad you like it! Thank you kindly! 😊
Flawless, you made this piece look high end and stylish, well done 😮
Thank you so much!
Love the wallpaper! Another beautiful transformation!
Thanks so much! 😊
This piece turned out gorgeous! I love the wallpaper but only because it’s inside the cabinet. Like pretty lining in a purse 😂❤
Haha thank you! 😊
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
Gorgeous!!!! You never disappoint!!! I love the paper you used it so brightens it up and gives a unique surprise 🤗
I'm so glad you like it! Thank you so much for watching! 😊
I absolutely love how this turned out! That paper is perfect with it!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
I thought the paper had sheep on it for a minute. ❤️☺️ A piece of your artwork would have brought the front up to another level.
I tend to save those for the laminate pieces, or ones with pretty cheap species of veneer like birch. For things like mahogany and walnut, I'd rather just let the grain be the focus, but I definitely plan to do some more soon!
Looks like a million bucks! Great job 👏🏻
Thank you kindly! 😊

It turned out very nice. Love the wood grain showing thru.
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Absolutely beautiful! I didn't like anything about this piece before you transformed it. You have such an amazing gift for seeing the hidden potential in a piece!
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the paint wash and the colorful paper inside! ❤
Thanks so much! 😊

I really like what you did with this piece. I'm a fan of neutral colors. So you rocked it my friend.❤
Many thanks!

I really like what you did here. I’m not usually a light wood fan but the effect you did here is so attractive.
I'm glad you like how it turned out! 😊
Genius! No surprise there!
Awe, thank you! 😊
I think it turned out really great Angie!! Another beautiful piece saved…
Thank you so much! 😊
A really nice result: I can't imagine that you will have any trouble selling that charming piece!
Thank you so much! 😊
I simply love watching you work and explain, and transform these pieces, into real beauty ❤️
Thank you very much! 😀
Really love what you did on this piece. Derk legs definitely look the best and the pop of color on the inside is just perfect.
Thank you so much! 😊
I think it looks great!
Thank you so much! 😊
Forget the cabinet, I want the glasses!!😂😂😂. Looks absolutely stunning as usual Angie! You are so talented, and have great visions for all of your pieces…. 😊❤
Thank you so much!!
I love it . Your choice of color is gorgeous and I like how the wallpaper inside compliments the dark on the shelf. ❤
Thank you so much! 😊

Another great video! And another great piece!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gorgeous, love the 1950s feeling paper too, I think your workshop is the most organised in the world. Magical transformation.
Thank you kindly! 😊
Beautiful. I love that you left the legs dark. Love your work
Thank you! 😊
Really like what you did this! You have a gift for seeing the potential beauty of pieces. Thank you for another great video!
You're most welcome! 😀
Your attention to detail is why you are the best at what you do ! Great video !
Thank you so much 👍
So nice and modern! Looks fabulous and I love the interior paper.
Thanks so much!
Such a natural look! I really like when you highlight the natural wood in unusual ways.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
This was great. I loved the finished product.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think it is beautiful-so much better than the original dark version. Your decisions are always right on. I’m amazed at your skill with the peel-and-stick! I’m challenged with that-even sticky notes give me trouble. Excellent job! ⭐️
Thank you so much!
Does have a very stylish retro feel. I do like the light finish and dark legs.
Thank you very much! 😊

I've been watching you for what seems like forever, but I still learn something on each episode. Thank you for that!
You're most welcome!! I'm glad I can help!
I really like this piece. The lighter color looks amazing. The wall paper gives it that 50s feel.
I'm so glad you like it! 😀
I love the paper!
Thank you!
Hehe, feeling a little biased when I hit "like" even before the video comes up, but your films, work experience and results are always worth it. Brilliant as always, Angie. xxx from Mette in Norway:)
Thank you so much Mette!! I appreciate your support!
Me every two weeks to my bf: "babe new furniture video dropped" and it's always better than the last
Haha, I LOVE that!! Thank you both for watching!! 😊
Love your stuff Angie. Waiting for the next piece you paint with flowers though. That stuff is stunning
Thanks so much 😊
Interesting, thank you. I prefer dark wood too, but we have many inherited European burr walnut pieces (my grandmother was Austrian) and they are more orange than expresso, & beautiful, despite my description.
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
I prefer the natural tones of walnut, mahogany, and rosewood but this is beautiful. Good choice on the dark legs as it helps to ground the piece. All in all another great job, Angie.
Thank you so much! 😊
Gotta be proud of this one. It's turned out way better than it started.
I appreciate that, thank you!
Can’t believe this is the same piece, what a transformation! Looks gorgeous and very exclusive
I'm so glad you like it!! 😀
Beautiful as always ❤
Thank you very much! 😀
I'm usually a darker wood person, but I love the way this turned out!!
I'm so glad!! 😀
I’m lukewarm on the aesthetics of this piece but I continue to be impressed with the quality workmanship you put in every piece. And, as always your work inspires me to try new things.
Beautiful! Thanks for what you do, Angie. 😊
You're so welcome! 🙂
You've given this piece a timeless elegance with everything you've done with it. I especially love the Algonquin colour, and the interior paper lining.
Thank you so much! 😊
