I randomly called Capt. Kurt to set up a fishing trip and as luck would have it Vic, Brooke and Ryan, were at the dock with him spraying off these massive tunas… It was super cool to talk to you guys on the phone!
I clicked on the provided link to review the "Full rules and entry methods" but all I encountered was an offer to puchase a magazine subscription. I was unable to ferret out any document or link(s) that provided the full rules or entry methods. I understand that purchasing a subscription is likely required but being "me" I wish to see what the full rules or alternate entry methods might be. It helps me to calculate my odds of success. Please advise. Great video in any case. Sucks to be broken off, sharked or rocked so many times. Kudos to you and your integrity for still showing them in a video.
@LandsharkOutdoors Still hoping for a legitimate link giving us the "full rules and entry methods" for the sweepstakes entry. Thank you for your consideration.
Yea. Some fish are mean is an understatement. Hooked a 55 pound yellowfin on a spinning real and it took around 35 minutes to bring in. (Drag might not have been tight enough but that's a story for another day😂)
This definitely the best yellowfin tuna you folks got, so fat because the pinkish hue on it compared to more reddish tuna you ever caught before. Awesome, LUCKY!
Brooke...beautiful fish! Sir...great grilling job! Looks delicious...I sure hope you two are better now. Thank you for taking us on a great adventure! Have a lovely week!
So nice to see you kids be able to catch these fish and make these trips. I'm sad because I couldn't do it any more at my age and with my arthritis. Maybe with an electric reel.
Great video! Would have loved to see the cook, and maybe a little more of you and Fisher’s conversations and interactions. Helps me it more personable and give the videos depth.
trick to wash filets, especially if it's too much to filet them carefully and super clean: just use salt brine. I even do it with venison if I get some hair or whatever on the pieces and if anything it makes things better
The Captain is smart using catfish rigs so he doesnt have to use fuel in a half day trip . They spend half the day catching 1 fish and its headed back to get the afternoon trip.
should have done SALT 1ST, would open the meat up better for all the other spices on the dry rub. just saying.. great video. thumbs up, and thank you for your time!!!😋😋😋
First tuna for me was a 175-200lb Allison yellowfin fought it for 2 hours by myself and the line broke as we were going to gaff it the fish would’ve been the first the captain has caught in 13 years

I want to know the same thing. It looks like shamano reel and rod but I cant tell.
Yes, what rods are those?
@@chawkins462They look the "Focals" from the brand in the video notes
I caught some bigeye tuna out of oregon inlet, nc and the meat looked just like that and was fatty. great day of fishing
Is that the Berkley Prospec line?
What size saltiga, line and leader? Which model rod also, thanks
The tuna can be " ball crushing" if you don't hold your pole right... LOL
Caught a 195lber on the spinning rod after it ate the popper i could feel your pain lol
I saw the pink straight tail NLBN jig. I want to know where to purchase the pink jig.
First tuna for me was a 175-200lb Allison yellowfin fought it for 2 hours by myself and the line broke as we were going to gaff it the fish would’ve been the first the captain has caught in 13 years
