- We spent the last 3 months building our dream boat with Bluewater Boats out of Ft. Pierce, Florida. In this video we show you the behind the scenes of how a boat is built from scratch! Boat's have an incredible amount of work, materials and engineering that go into them. From the fiberglass, to hardware, pain electronics, fuel tanks, pumps, wiring and so much more! We built a 2850 Bluewater after falling in love with it at the Palm Beach Boat show earlier this year. Ken and Kelly the owners of Bluwater were a pleasure to work with and made the process enjoyable!

I’ve spent 35 years in the Marine sales working for boat builders and allied trades in the biz before retirement. I sold Saltwater Fiberglass Hulls, Freshwater Aluminum Hulls, marine power for OMC (RIP) & marine electronic-I can understand the cost. This 28’ has everything but the kitchen sink…oh, I guess it’s included too. A quality build with unbelievable hull construction….it’s a custom Boat.

Who could even think of questioning the price of this boat. That price is seriously competitive with an insane quality and attention to detail.
At one point you seen 6 people all working on glassing the boat. Then I’m sure you have a different crew working on wiring, sanding/painting, finishing, etc.
If I’m ever fortunate enough to be looking to buy one myself. I’m happy that I’ve seen this video! Good stuff.

Surprising amount of capacity in that size boat… I’m a cat owner (lost my mind on the space a cat provides) but this gives me new respect for bluewater boats…. Congrats - Nice job! Oh - love the Suzuki power - I’ve got 8 of them… bulletproof decision. You’ve got more rod holders than my 42 Prowler!
