The Style council era was absolutely esquisite while it lasted. How lucky I am to have lived all of this. Thank you Paul Weller. Thank you for sharing. Confessions of a pop group it’s absolutely a masterpiece. I know it was troubled back then for this album but I got and I loved it. So glad he is performing Its a very deep sea. ❤
One of my favourite all time albums, listened to it again a few weeks ago. and the album sleeve art work was genius! Why some Jam fans didn’t appreciate the Style Council is beyond me!
About 15 years ago I stood next to Paul Weller while our kids played on a climbing frame in Coram's Field in London, he was holding a half-eaten cupcake. We didn't speak but gave each other a knowing 'alright' nod.
Style Council and XTC two of the most underrated bands of all time. Some of the best arrangements and thought provoking lyrics. Council reunion! Let's go!!!!!
The first two Style Council albums (on cassette ) got me through some very serious surgeries when I was a teenager. It’s a bit of my life that I will always remember ❤. And I hope those nurses learned to appreciate the music! Forty years on , gonna shout to the top!!!
Tear drops turn to children who never had the time to commit the sin they pay for through anothers evil mind what an amazing line from a fantastic song Weller at his very best
My ever changing moods, was the track that made( a counclier for life)me reflect on everything in my then 17 year old mind. I dont know why but after all these decades(I'm 56) this track still makes me cry.🎉🎉🎉
Paul here in Brazil is not as well known and valued, but the few who know and admire him know that he is one of the great rock musicians in the world. Very talented and with extreme good taste...
Absolutely the dumbest comment i've ever seen ,anywhere, ever, If i could downvote twice, i would. Never has Paul Weller been considered underrated. You've blown my mind.
The Style council was my favorite band when Café Bleu was released. Heard this so often. My ever changing moods and Headstart for Happiness were my best Loved ones.
I’ve always appreciated what Paul & The Style Council represented-the best in their time for a genre they perfected-and probably defined. And now, it’s exciting to see them at any age and time!
Underrated by whom? They were hugely popular in their day and I'm sure even most diehard Jam fans will have appreciated their music. It's all the musical genius of Paul Weller after all.
Still the greatest from wembley last night of the Jam i tell my German friend your the biggest artist in uk for 45 years amazing journey i am just a fan brillant Paul old friend of mine her and cousin followed in early days amazing career
@@stopout03 I agree with Mark. We must be on the same trip. Both funky, both exquisitely produced, both disco-tinged, both have subversive lyrics, etc.
@@lenacraig377 Wow! Really? Thank you for your kindness!! I am a new Fan of him. I found his music on the videos from Live Aid in 1985. His Band is wonderful. Still wonderful. Thank you so much for the information ❤️
Hi again Just checked and Paul Weller is in Japan at the end of January 2024 and the beginning of February 2024. Grab your tickets it will be great. Sending love from Australia🙂
"This time the bosses sued". Can anyone chime in on their interpretation of this line? Thank you in advance for your thoughts. I'm kinda stumped. Best to all.

"Confesions..." is a clasic, it expanded the limits of pop music

He would have appreciated that more than you know. He was with his kids, he was being dad, not the Modfather that day.

I don' t remember seeing XTC but I did see The Style Council at the Beverly Theatre in Los Angeles.
Believe it or not, in Japan , Style Council songs are very popular among those who spent their 20s in '80. Maybe more popular than Jam songs.
I trekking down mem lane. I've seen him play a few times. I think he's one of the greatest songwriters to ever walk the planet
his voice is still amazing at 65. Happy birthday, genius.
Agreed,,what a voice ,,so British!
Most of this he can't sing !
Yes!!! Like butter

Love from Italy to one of the greatest genius ever !!!
Headstart for Happiness takes me back to 1983 more than any other track he wrote that year. It’s like an emotional recall. 40 years melts away.

Love that Paul is playing some old Style Council favorites, but I miss the female backing vocal. DC
They divorced sadly
What a great performer Weller is. A true gift.
Heard this song 40 years ago. Paul Weller and the Style Council kicked butt then, and they still do NOW!
One of the most brilliant and underrated musical artist in pop music ever. Paul Weller is a genius.
Absolutely the dumbest comment i've ever seen ,anywhere, ever, If i could downvote twice, i would. Never has Paul Weller been considered underrated. You've blown my mind.

Admiral quality indeed.

Going tonight can't wait! 1st show in USA for 66 tour.
The sound of my youth in the 80s. Every weekend I danced on the danceflor in my father’s Disco Smugglers Club.
Brings back many memories 🎵🎵🎵🎵
The Style Council - such an underrated band. Fantastic back catalogue that goes well beyond their hit singles.
Underrated by whom? They were hugely popular in their day and I'm sure even most diehard Jam fans will have appreciated their music. It's all the musical genius of Paul Weller after all.
As a former PolyGram USA stooge I will place some blame at our feet. And of course the radio dorks. A bit too early for MTV
This is sooooo good by the way. Thanks for recording and posting. Hope Paul makes a few $$ from it.
Sad but true
I remember seeing them live back in 1985 performing in Brighton UK 🇬🇧
The mili-ssecond changing moods begins I break out in a massive smile and I'm transported,

The Style Council were great when they weren't preaching. These tunes really stand up well.
