I've been looking at the Vintage Amber, but I really like that. Is it blue, or more purple in person?

Is the bridge fixed for floating?

I know this reply is late, and you probably know the answer by now, but I'm gonna assume floating. Whenever I've seen the bridge mounted on a piece of wood like that, the whole assembly sits freely on the top. I could be wrong but thats my experience

Gretsch describe it as a "tune-o-matic bridge with a secured laurel base" so it is fixed.
