I'm 35 and want to join the USCG. I've been working in the fishing industry in Alaska for 9 years now and looking for a career change. I have an appointment with a recruiter in a couple of weeks and your videos have been very helpful.
Hello, I'm 36 years old and am getting ready to speak with a recruiter for the US Coast Guard Special Forces or maritime unit tomorrow at 8:30 while I ask him about it. I'm in a situation where I'm tired of working regular jobs and would like a different time and always wanted to join the military do active duty get better retirement than Reserve.
I think it's a great option. I can't tell you what I think you should do because I don't know your situation. But if you're worried about the age, I have several friends who joined after 30 and they're all glad they did. And you're still young enough to do 20-30 years and get a full retirement.
I actually did a video on this topic ruclips.net/video/hYGhUr2Oyfk/видео.html And here is a source that gives you the rundown on vaccines needed: www.hhs.gov/immunization/who-and-when/military-members/index.html
Correction: You can actually get TWO paid RMP drills per year, not one.
Thank You
