    Correction: You can actually get TWO paid RMP drills per year, not one.

    The best part is when they change the drill date and you were left off the email list
    You show up on the third weekend and no one’s there
    Now you have missed a drill and can’t make it up -

    I'm 35 and want to join the USCG. I've been working in the fishing industry in Alaska for 9 years now and looking for a career change. I have an appointment with a recruiter in a couple of weeks and your videos have been very helpful.

    Hello, I'm 36 years old and am getting ready to speak with a recruiter for the US Coast Guard Special Forces or maritime unit tomorrow at 8:30 while I ask him about it. I'm in a situation where I'm tired of working regular jobs and would like a different time and always wanted to join the military do active duty get better retirement than Reserve.

    What are your thoughts of joining the CG reserves at 33?

    • @CGCareerCentral
      @CGCareerCentral  Год назад +2

      I think it's a great option. I can't tell you what I think you should do because I don't know your situation. But if you're worried about the age, I have several friends who joined after 30 and they're all glad they did. And you're still young enough to do 20-30 years and get a full retirement.
