Passenger side floorboards between front and back are rusted out
looks pretty good and the price reflects its condition, it will make someone a nice first car or a nice sunday cruiser but the buyer needs to be warned of the shoddy floor pans that are rusted out and makeshift patching and the rear frames rails are rusted through.
You aint lying. Looks like someone bought a floor pan kit and just pulled up the carpet and laid it down on top of the existing. Nothing left of the original on the driver's side. Good eye there my man its hard to see with the strobing light.

I would rebuild the front end then either a Coyote swap or a godzilla swap.
@@alanmerritt860 I dont get it either. Everyone has that insane obsession with ruining classic cars by dropping modern tech in them. If i want a new coyote then im gonna buy a new mustang. If i want a classic first gen mustang then im gonna get this car and leave the original 289 in it. Especially because a hopped up 289 will sound better than any coyote ever.

In the past, people produced things just like that, not just any things like today. This doesn't just apply to cars.
Is that a lifter I hear ticking?
A lifter or exhaust leak need to check both up close, but far greater an issue is the rust.
Hate to say it, but..... underneath, the drives haft tunnel/trans hump. Has some rust there, probably heat shield ?? Otherwise, with the quick slap on paint jobs, body and engine, about right price to get rid of it. Sorry about the negatively, but being honest, which I believe y'all are trying to be, I hope.
This is what these should be going for not $40,000+
I have to admit the color is sweet!
I love the looks, but needs work: As in Wiper linkage/ steering gear and FE align/ heater controls/ both front floorboards/ and valve train noise. Get those fixed and you would have a sweet stang.

I thought it needed a new light bulb in one of the right turn signal lights when the dash light didn't blink. That was the clue that either the frount or rear light bulb was burnt-out. But then you showed the lights, and both front and back blinked. Now I have no Ides where the repair is needed.

Too bad It wasn’t put up on a hoist. Great on top side but what does the underside look like ,that is where most old Mustangs fail.
The fine little pony is nice enough for any body that love a these little cars it sure would look good in my yard these guys always buy the right stuff.
My uncle has a mustang just like this but his is dark blue with a white interior it’s literally just sitting in the back of his house

I buought a similar car in 2019. A 64 1/2 hardtop with a 260 V8 and 3 Speed Manaul. The 23,558th Mustang ever made. Tropical Turquoise with a white interior. I paid $3,800CDN or about $2,600USD The underbody on mine is way better. I have it totally stripped because once you start dismantling it is hard to stop. Since the car is 58 years old, I figure you should do this every 58 years...LOL

If the fans hitting something, check the engine mounts. Pull the right could be a brake pull be a use the left side is working freely and the right side is tight. Is the timing chain original?

I have a 66 almost identical except for the front gauges.
That was the difference on the interior of the 66 from 65. The 65 used the Falcon instrument panel. The 66 had it's own instrument panel.

Every 65 , 66 mustang has a slight bend in the center of rear bumper. I've never seen a perfectly straight one.

Watch for those brakes man. I haven't driven a car with no power brakes in a long time, but I do remember you've got to pay more attention to the traffic. Need to anticipate braking easier and earlier.
Nothing wrong with that, as long as you aren't in a hurry.

Probably a problem due to using unleaded gas in it. This car was built when gasoline contained lead.
So do you think it's just the front brakes making it pull right or does it need undercarriage work as well?
I think the breaks need to be looked at! The right side grabs before the left. Might be an adjustment might be a bad cylinder on one side or the other.
