@nofiltersenzafiltro9596 this is one of our favourite channels to watch on RUclips, we take a lot of inspiration for our channel from @salvagerebuildsuk 👍
This mirror guy seems well organised. i'm constantly amazed at all these small businesses you keep finding. What a great service they provide, thank you.
Hi Rob, I don’t think I’m alone in saying this but I would rather buy a car off you and Chris knowing what has happened to it and to see the extent of your workmanship, than buy a similar car off a dealer forecourt/website. Your work ethic and the quality of the repairs put you head and shoulders above a lot of “reputable” car dealers. Also factor in the price and these cars are an absolute bargain. Keep up the great work and the amazing videos - defo the most interesting thing on RUclips atm and keep smiling. That smile on your face says it all. Peace and love for the festive period and 2023
hi chaps i really looked forward to watching you guys today…im from jersey in the Channel Islands and i suppose you may as well have heard that we as a community over the last few days have had unimaginable heartbreak..last thursday morning we lost 3 fishermen when their trawler sank after being hit by the condor freight ship just off our north coast and then at 0400 hours on saturday morning we had a huge gas explosion on a small housing estate which vaporised the entire block of 6 flats ..killing 12 people and to add insult to injury my wife and our 8yr old have covid (im waiting for my turn) so your video’s really do help me to keep upbeat ..you both have done an amazing job on the discovery so keep up the good work and see you in the next one..regards Roger
Considering how bashed about this car was, you've both worked wonders. That is a cracking car. Nice to know there are firms, like the mirror guy, about. The amount of times I've had to get a complete part because of one failed easily replaceable component, that isn't available on it's own, is ridiculous. Top work! 👍
Haha, when the restoration is so friggin' good Rob forgets what work went into it. You're on a whole other level gents, that's one hell of a contrast from when it was brought in.
If this has the JLR Ingenium diesel engine, you should advise the new owner to perform regular oil changes. Because they didn't have space in the engine bay for the DPF filter, it's about 70cm down the exhaust, and that results in it never getting hot enough under normal driving for a passive re-gen. So they do a lot of active re-gens, but that increases the oil dilution, as they are so frequent, that the re-gen will often be interrupted by the journey finishing, and the excess diesel seeps down the cylinders and into the oil. This engine is designed for oil changes every 21,000 miles, with oil dilution up to 6% max, like in the Jaguar XE, but because of the faulty design of the DPF in the Discovery Sport, most users were finding it necessary to change the oil between 6,000 and 10,000 miles, as the oil dilution was reaching 6% within this timeframe. JLR implement a solution for this, which was to reprogram the control module to trigger at 10% dilution, instead of 6%... Not much of a solution. Regular oil changes required for this one, I reckon.
Looking back at the car that arrived at your workshop and how it looks now its hard to believe its the same car. Looks superb and anyone would be proud to be its new owner. Your videos always make it look simple but we know that's not the case and an awful lot of hard work goes into these rebuilds particularly the high standards you set yourselves. Well done on this one you have every right to to be very happy with the Discovery its a credit to you both
Anyone buying your vehicles, wouldn't have to worry of knowing how bad it was, would be able watch the series of that vehicle, back to the day they bought it. I recently bought a repaired cat S vehicle and I was given the before photos and knowing where the damage was, I cannot tell the difference on either side. It had a new n/s rear quarter panel fitted, so you know it had to be welded across the pillars and ive looked in all types of light hitting it and it cannot be seen. So it just goes to show, by Salvage Rebuilds, showing the public how a damaged vehicle, can be economically repaired, to a high standards, that you wouldn't believe, they where the same vehicle. Looking at the before photos at the end there, no one would believe they share the same number plate! Yet another great job, jobbed! well done Rob and Chris!
Yes yet again, another great car done & dusted .... you have the snow down there , none up in the north west , well yet !!! Just frozen windows , on the cars , !! . So a jolly good job done guy's .....
Good morning Rob and Chris. Cracking job on the Land Rover. Comparison between before and after images was incredible. Another great find with the mirror company, I can see you using them again. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged.
Nice job guys. That looks amazing, especially when you see the ‘before’ pictures. That will fly out the door in rapid time I’m sure. The severe winter weather won’t hinder that sale!!. Another great video, and a a real professional job in sorting that car out. It’s worth every penny of the asking price. On to the next one I guess…..? Cheers gents.
Looks fantastic - just one point guys, the 'DISCOVERY' lettering on the tailgate is missing, it's similar to that on the bonnet, that needs to be put on - minor detail but should be back on there for completeness ......but fantastic, well impressed with your superb handiwork, I own a DS sport so this one's been really interesting to see all the inner workings.......well done !
1 of your best yet for amount of panels/parts damage. With full respray put a private plate on that car and to the regular guy it could be a day old car it's that clean well done chaps. Will get you a coffee for xsmas 👍
What a fantastic looking car, credit to you guys again ,you both done a brilliant job on ,every car you two guys do are repaired to the highest standard well done salvage rebuilds best channel on RUclips
Wow what a great makeover. I had forgotten what a mess it was when you first got it. Fantastic job 👍👍. That mirror company looked great, they were super organised and knew there stuff. Awesome to see, thank you Chris and Rob
Great looking motor, worth the 10.5k everyday of the week. I'd certainly throw my hat in the ring for this if I was on Ista thingy! Keep it going guys. I have SR envy every time I watch. Hope you both get to have a relaxing Christmas - best wishes to you both.
Hi Rob and Chris, you couldn't have finished a 7 seater, 4x4 at a better time eh guy's. And hasn't it turned out really nice. Easy sale, great buy for someone at a brilliant price.. win, win. Alex.
Maybe the cheapest but you can be sure that it will be a top repair. That thing was in a real state when it arrived, looked like it had been through a hedge backwards. Oh no sorry it was forwards!😉 A lot of hard work from both of you in the end even though you thought it would be quite quick there was the waiting for parts. Keep safe and warm Rob and Chris and we will see you soon Gents.👍👍
You certainly put huge amount of work and effort into this repair, total credit and respect to you lads. And what a time to have a discovery up for sale!!
Wow, what a difference - its back to factory fresh once more! Great series of videos and you have both worked hard to turn that one around - hope it goes to a careful new owner. Also so good to see how many local businesses, the main dealer (and experts like Aidan) help you out with parts & advice - I really enjoy that. No wonder your videos get so many views!
Such a great result, guys. As you have heard so many times, I think you are selling this vehicle a little too cheap, but on the other hand, someone will get a beautiful vehicle that has been properly repaired, for a great price. I guess it is Christmas, isn't it? Thank you for another interesting project and videos. SRUK is my absolute favourite channel on RUclips. Keep up the great work!
A lot of people generalising without ever owning an LR and those who have owned one are generalising across the whole range. I've had a 2017 Disco Sport from new and it's been the most reliable car I've owned, to date, not a single issue other than tyre changes and oil top up. Maybe I got lucky, but it's built very well and great little car. Maybe best of the offering from LR, even if it's not an RR/RRS or Disco 5/Defender.
Same here.. I've got the Disco Si4 Sport HSE since Jul-2017. Regular servicing required, its done two set of tires and it runs really well till today... alongside my 2005MY Freelander V6 :)
Is this lad a landrover employee, in the car trade years and I’ve seen many many land rovers at low milage need engines and all sorts of other problems leaving them at the dude if the road, Posh scrap
Another great build concluded, just a suggestion - if people want to send you 'STUFF', why don't you set up a P.O. box, that way they can - and you don't have to reveal your location. Keep up the good work 👍
Like to thank you Rob and Chris for some great content and interesting topics. While I am not in the trade, I do enjoy watching how you mastermind some remarkable rebuilds. All the best for the Christmas season and have great new year from sunny Melbourne, Australia. Regards. 😎
Rob, Chris..... What a service with the mirror situation. I have always said that if you give a good service you always have trade. Service seems to have drained away in this digital land we are in. Bob (Weston super Mare)
If you only watched the first video and this one, you wouldn't believe it was the same car because you've seriously put your hearts and souls into this one. I know it's taken a while but it's been worth it to keep that one on the road again 🙂👍🏻
Cracking Job on the Discovery Sport. The car looks like a completely different car the car’s had a full respray which has changed the car. I think the car is ready for some hooning fun in the snow. The Car is a 4WD its made for these kinds of country roads. You and Chris can go for a spin in it, I’m sure that’s going to put a smile on Chris face. 😅 See you on Wednesday lads.
Another bargain leaves the salvage workshop !! Well done guys !! Fantastic video as always!! Thankyou guys for a fantastic year!! Been a fantastic journey !!
Evening Guys. That’s the sort of car repair that Salvage Rebuilds I’d all about 😀 That mirror guys is a gem 💎👍🏻 Enjoy your coffee ☕️ but save the cups for nuts and bolts 🔩 lol 😆
Thanks for including the video of its original state. As it's been a while I'd forgotten how bad this was. Great job as ever. I like the Disco Sport. They're practical, a sensible size, well proportioned and less pretentious than some LR models. Just a pity the fuel economy is not great compared to a 2 0 diesel estate with similar room inside. Very nice car
What an amazing transformation. You brought that car back from the dead. It looked like a write-off but you both saw its potential. Well done. A cheap and well sorted car for someone. Thank you for the video. 😊
i'm really surprised you haven't bought one of them heated jackets rob, being a softy-southerner and all that... excellent job on the paint prep chris, they must love you at the sprayshop keep up the good work chaps
Pal of mine had one a few years back, the only time he had a smile on his face was the day he sold it on. The market was very different back then, car market now is like the housing market, people are buying anything and at silly daft prices. Thanks again Chaps.
Hi Rob and Chris, what a brilliant rebuild of this Land Rover Discovery, its turned out really well, watching how the car was before and now.nice work both.
Love the Merry Christmas sign ! the same to you both, Good work how you repaired this vehicle sourcing the parts required at a good price. Your sale price a bargain.
You need to have a disco after that amazing transformation. Well done Chris for the body work as it wouidnt be the cheapest if spray shop did the work 👏. Great video guys again.
Thanks
Very kind of you thank you I’ll get tomorrow’s breakfast with that 👍

Thanks for persevering with the mics, makes a huge difference and a nicer watch.
Cracking car for the money
This vehicle is worth every single penny you are asking for.Excellent rebuild. This car will sell quickly.
The fact the paintshop could crack straight on proves what we already know, that chris is a bodywork legend! Nice one chaps, from trash to treasure!
Salvage rebuilds then dinner .... In order of importance !!!! And I'm hungry !!!

It's not the ingenium, it's the earlier 2.2 diesel in this. Same as the outgoing Freelander.
And for the Ingenium engines, using the CORRECT SPEC of oil is absolutely essential as well - luckily, this one has the DW12C.
Team works brings another project to an end Excellent turn around Rob and Chris

Nice video guys. Just wondering Rob and Chris, what the eBay store details for the mirror guy?? You mention you was going to add it.
Pal of mine had one a few years back, the only time he had a smile on his face was the day he sold it on.
The market was very different back then, car market now is like the housing market, people are buying anything and at silly daft prices.
Thanks again Chaps.
Terrific job guys. That really looks like a car people will queue to buy. Another fine success in the history of SRUK !! Cheers, Bob
Those guys at the car wash are great, I wish we had somewhere like this around me, I would use them all the time.
