Defintaly one of the best on youtube there only a few chanells i watch and theres is in my top 2 ,, and these guys are so very local to me too but i would never ever reval there location to anyone
My wife and I came across a Dayglow Yellow transit van, nearside smashed, I said...."Even Eddie won't have a wing for that one..............IN COLOUR"........... As long time fans we both laughed and spent the remainder of our journey, doing an imaginary commentary on a very unlikely rebuild. Lots of love to you both, Chris & Val. Already LIKE & SUBSCRIBED and looking forward to ............THE NEXT ONE
I use Wynns DPF cleaner all the time. Unblocks the worst DPFs. Had a Juke recently as a non start poured this in off the car 8 hours without a drip out the bottom. 13 hours later it’s flowing out the bottom back on the car and it started. Magic stuff.
The eml coming back on is probably down to the dpf Even though you guys cleaned it And reset the code the fault will still be there until you tell the van the dpf has been replaced Even though you haven't replaced it You need to to tell van its had a new dpf fitted to get that light out
Hi Rob and Chris, nice little result with this van, hopefully nothing serious putting the management light on. Love the Mother-in-law joke, brilliant (and true) lol..!! Alex
It might be best for you to use it as a parts run around foe a few 100 miles and let it settle down. It should be all ok but don't take the chance of mucking up your reputations. Great content. Cheers Jim in NZ.
Thanks Rob & Chris for the reminder to subscribe. I am one of the guilty ones. As ever, really interesting content and I have learned a lot since the abandoned black Ford Focus. Keep up the good work.
Chris cleaning the intercooler with stale fuel reminded me of the time I was in high school working in a garage for a week for work experience. I had the task of cleaning certain engine parts with paraffin and a brush. Good to see nothing much has changed for 40 years 😂
Check for the oil presence in the breather pipe connected to the hose from the air box to the turbo. If oil is present, it could be due to a air-oil separator failure or too much blowby. It could misdiagnose with a failed turbo seal.
those dpf chemicals can land you in hospital guys..but once clean they dont half sort out alot of issues like engine light on...and they run brand new..like a new van.
Always a good idea to final rinse the DPF with De-Ionised water. Tap water leaves a film of minerals and is quite corrosive. I would do the same to the EGR valve.
What I love most about Chris is how his now so involved with the talking and getting amongst the camera. Used to be so laid back and use to just say something when needed but now different man! Proper RUclipsr! 😂 love the videos gents keep up all the hard work
The Vauxhall that's a West Ham fan "forever blowing bubbles". Great video Chris and Rob this one's been more a technical job than actual labour intensive 👍
you need to get it up to temp (coolant and exhaust)and make sure it can do it's own regen of the dpf. if glow plugs, or outside temp faulty, it will not regenerate, dpf gets clogged and the back pressure damages the turbo. from the state of the airfilter i would suspect previous user kept driving with faults on until turbo popped.
Reset the DPF data in the ecu via the DPF service function on the autel 👍🏽 now the DPF is cleaned you should reset the DPF values to let the ecu know it’s clean and also check the live data for the DPF make sure the DPF pressure is below 10mbar at idle and under 80mbars at 3000rpm 👍🏽
Another amazing repair, you should be employed as consultants for the latest moon landing. Seriously, a first rate diagnostic repair ensuring that you replace only the parts required. Always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Always enjoy your videos, great content. You usually need to reset the DPF learned values after cleaning it if it's had a problem with the DPF, otherwise the engine light will come back on again. You might also want to go into the live data and check the differential pressure on it, if it's clean and not blocked it should be around 0.7 mbars across the DPF.
With your Autel tool connected to the diagnostic socket you could have gone into live data and selected the "DPF differential Pressure" reading. With the revs at 3000 the pressure should be below 50 millibars and less than 5 millibars at idle. Sometimes you have to select a Peugeot or Citroen model rather than Vauxhall (eg Peugeot 3008) to access the required live data readings.
I'd try a hard reset, so the ECU thinks the DPF is new. Disconnect the battery, leave it overnight, connect the positive terminal with the negative terminal, then reconnect the battery. It might work.
That Autel has the capability to reset the DPF. I used to do it on my Range Rover after cleaning the DPF. Once the DPF is blocked, the ECU will consider it too far gone. But it's OK to clean it then tell the computer you replaced it.
@@AutomotiveEvangelist Yes the Autel will have that capacity. I was just talking to the average DIYer point of view, not able to access special functions via OBD2.
As always guy's love the van videos good joke to at the end 🤣 and I'd just like to say I've been subscribed to sruk for a number of years now and what a journey it's been and it's been an absolute pleasure watching 👌👌👌
Put the scann tool on it look at the pressure on the dpf , check the pipes pre and post are clean from the dpf sensor and you may need to change the sensor for a new one depending on the reading . If all ok reset the ecu and take the van for a run but watch the temperature of the exhaust don’t over heat . Don’t let it rise over 650 degrees the van should regen then . Wish you all the best
Lads the amount of residue in that exhaust will take ages to burn off I wouldn't worry about that and the joke was superb 😂😂 thanks for another great video lads quality
If people are watching on a TV, it is more effort to find the subscribe button or leave comments, people watching on ipads and mobiles find it easier to click things.
RTFM error > # 7 Rinse the filter from both sides with warm water. Ensure that any contaminant flush is drained out from the filter, and continue until the water runs clear through all openings/apertures.
once again guys, another first class video, as usual, honest and transparency at its finest!!!!!, and those detailed issues fixed... absolutely love it.
Hi rob and Chris good luck with the wee van, good one about the mother in law, my kids said can they play with granny again i said no because they dug her up three times already, from marty in Belfast northern Ireland God bless
You guys are smashing it on these small vans lately, got to be Karma paying back good deeds, keep on truckin lads, that’s a 70’s expression Chris may remember more than you Rob hahaha no offence Chris but you do seem wiser than your years. I’ll say it again ‘keep on ‘truckin!!!
Just needs a good blast down the Thanet Way now Rob. I remember my Uncle running an Triumph 2.5 Pi up and down the Thanet Way when it got a bit choked up, soon blew the cobwebs out of it.
Hello Rob and Chris, van coming on well after both your hard work, looking forward to the update. Good joke at the end. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged.
Forcing a DPF regen on a OBD is never a good idea, I am on original DPF at 160k miles. Best to add some Reflex DPF cleaner to the fuel tank, make sure it's filled up to half full with diesel, then take it for a fifteen minute motorway blast at 2500/3000 revs on motorway.
My boy had, if i remember rightly P2002, efficiency bank 1 fault, it was a blocked EGR cooler, he had this deleted, cured the issue with the engine light. I hope this helps.
When I did up my diesel engine on the bmw I pulled a that out and it wasn’t the turbo gone but valve guides so worn That much oil was just going past and I did the same with the intercooler and all the pipes I washed the intercooler out with thinners and all the pipes went into. Parts washer just to make sure 👍👍
Really wish you guys on these kind of vehicles which need a new turbo or intercooler etc would not only change for original but upgrade and tune and make a change to the norm. I would say many won’t agree but many would. Salvage rebuilds with a twist. JF Automotive in Maidstone list parts which you guys could fit and then take it to them for a tune? Maybe not on a van but a decent car with engine fault? Would love to see this.
Please be very careful with that dpf cleaner that stuff needs to be used outside the fumes are deadly iv heard of a couple of people suffer with there breathing a couple of days later
O'Rileys on youtube is a good resource for matters DPF cleaning on vehicle, useing a product called launch, also many other emissions diagnosis...
Far too complicated for us mortals ever to consider tackling. Thank God there are people like you around.
Come on people, subscribe to this channel, Rob and Chris should have way more subscribers, one of the best channels on RUclips by miles.

I find engine related series more interesting than wrecked or crashed ones.
Loved that tongue in cheek remark at our fellow UK salvage repairing guy, sticking "Brand New Seccond Hand" on his t-shirts and jumpers.
Great Video. Good to see a van getting a new life rather than being scrapped.

The dead-pan end of video one-liners are A THING. Thanks for more great content.
nice to see a 4k video, the quality is much better. thx rob
Hi Rob and Chris, nice little result with this van, hopefully nothing serious putting the management light on. Love the Mother-in-law joke, brilliant (and true) lol..!! Alex
Both got new wheels. I love these videos. A bloke can learn a lot.

Always love these videos on combo -Doblo only because I have the misfortune of owning a few

Go to special functions on your scanner then replace dpf and reset soot content.
I am subscribed and have been for a number of years and love every video you put out thanks the both of you.
What I love most about Chris is how his now so involved with the talking and getting amongst the camera. Used to be so laid back and use to just say something when needed but now different man! Proper RUclipsr! 😂 love the videos gents keep up all the hard work
Watching since last year Rob, so I decided to subscribe. Enjoy the content and banter between you and Chris.
The Vauxhall that's a West Ham fan "forever blowing bubbles". Great video Chris and Rob this one's been more a technical job than actual labour intensive 👍
Those 2 little cheeky smiles let's take it up the yard😁😁

I got taught to disconnect injectors when you do a turbo and make sure youve got oil at the turbo before you fire it up
Who is the new member of staff laying by the door with a wagging tail 😅 great as all ways keep it going

It’s great to see the part where you fire up the engine. As always, another entertaining and informative video
Great stuff gentlemen. Really interesting as always. You have such great patience and such a positive, optimistic approach to it all. Thank you.
I just tried to scape the ice off me window with a Tesco discount card......Was rubbish, I only got 20% off......I'll get me coat.

Great little car. I would love that car parked outside. Nice to see you happy with that Rob.
There are just some bits you can't learn from a book , but can easily learn from these guys , awesome content as always nice too see you guys

It’s going to be a good van that will give someone good service.

Very good video enjoyed it thanks Phil old retired garage owner
Brilliant episode guys! Keep warm...

The exhaust is obviously a West Ham fan. 😁 Another cracking result, guys. 👍👌
Great job guys never in doubt u would sort it !
great work lads, but you need to tell the van its had a new dpf which in turn will reset the soot content
Top video as always thanks Chris and Rob for the great content!

Lovely to see a potential lemon turn out to be a peach! Well done Rob and Chris.
Just needs a good blast down the Thanet Way now Rob. I remember my Uncle running an Triumph 2.5 Pi up and down the Thanet Way when it got a bit choked up, soon blew the cobwebs out of it.
The joke was class, shame about those not subscribing but enjoying the content. Keep them coming
Hello Rob and Chris, van coming on well after both your hard work, looking forward to the update. Good joke at the end. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged.
Nice video chaps. Worth forcing a DPF regen now you have has the DPF bubble bath in it. Hold it at about 3k rpm and it will finalise the clean.
Mother-in-law’s jokes are always funny rob 😂👍👍
Engine sounds sweet, nice job.
I watch ever episode Rob and Chris keep up the good work
Brilliant video thank you, love the bubbles and love the today's joke!👍👍👍
You need to check that utube ain't unsubscribing people Rob 👍
Brand new second hand -great for a sweat shirt, t shirt or Mat....🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂 Rob the end joke topped this one mate well done tickled me 😂😂😂😂
My boy had, if i remember rightly P2002, efficiency bank 1 fault, it was a blocked EGR cooler, he had this deleted, cured the issue with the engine light. I hope this helps.
One thing surely dropping the sump is a must after turbo shat itself.
A great video Rob and Chris love all the videos
Nice work Rob and Chris,it does sound nice on tick over, the exhaust blowing from out lol 😂.seemed a lot of work involved but worth it.
Great job lads, love the channel.
When I did up my diesel engine on the bmw I pulled a that out and it wasn’t the turbo gone but valve guides so worn
That much oil was just going past and I did the same with the intercooler and all the pipes
I washed the intercooler out with thinners and all the pipes went into. Parts washer just to make sure 👍👍
Wynns DPF off car cleaner is great, bloke on the phone told you right, I’ve always had best results leaving it overnight 12-16 hours 👍🏻
Great video and work on the Combo Rob! :D
The injectors and turbos go on these and some electrical gremlins. Later models have the French PSA engines, so much better.
those have other problems.🤔
You need to run the engine at 2500-3000 rpm until the froth stops which if quite normal IE 10 -15 mins
Thanks for the film. I hope you get that one sorted.
Another good one lads, has the BMW gone yet? Also how did the Fiat 500 gift come out? Little update please
Quality delivery too| Good work cheers.
Had a turbo go on my lorry same thing after it was fixed it smoked for a good couple hours before it cleared up
I wonder why your truck did the exact same thing. Spooky isn’t it? 🤔
Thanks for the video. Keep safe and warm.
Great job would be worth resetting the dpf learned values
The other thing that can happen is duff sensors ahead and after the DPF, and occasionally some damaged wiring in in the DPF sensor systems
Cracking video lads thanks for sharing ❤
👍..., I think it’s gonna be alright !
Great video lads! Look forward to seeing this wrapped up! 😊
Rob ever the gentleman lol rude to interrupt 😂😂
Really enjoyed this vid thank you
Nice one boys legends as ever! one its hot back together need a good blast lol clear out the DPF. and engine under load ,

Another one saved from the scrap yard 👍👍
Lads. Never knew turbo goes drowns everything so. Nor the need flush get everything so clean. What a job !!!
Please be very careful with that dpf cleaner that stuff needs to be used outside the fumes are deadly iv heard of a couple of people suffer with there breathing a couple of days later
Nice one , was that another wee van on the back of the truck ?
Look forward to each SRUK video. Very enjoyable. Thanks gents!
love the content rob and chris, proper grafters
Nice one guys watch all your videos, watch your safety with the chemicals! This van isn’t a 🍋 well done
