    Coming up on my one year anniversary with these pedals. They're still as good as new. If you're on the fence about getting these pedals, the answer is yes, BUY THESE THINGS NOW.

    Just bought the new 2016 speed cobra in the double pedal version. Best pedals I have ever played in my entire life. I've had the iron cobra power glides, and DW 9002 and these take the cake for what I look for in a pedal. I bought this as a back up to my DW 9002 pedals since some tiny parts would break but now those dw's are going on the shelf and these are my main pedals hands down. Amazing job my Tama. Best pedals IMO. So glad I made the choice to purchase these. They have so much power and speed along with dynamics. Also the new beater sounds fat as hell with worlds of attack. And they say it's resistant to wear? We'll see about that but if it is then I'm a happy customer. The rubber seems super durable.

      Thanks for your input because I also have dw 9002 and am thinking of getting these or the Yamaha chain drives. I'll think I'll go for these. They feel smooth? Dw 9002 are hurting my feet after long session. Those heel plates I guess.

      +Larry Tate I guess everyone has their preferences, even though u can adjust any pedal, there are certain things that u can't adjust and the speedcobras are just perfect for what I'm looking for in a double pedal. The power speed smoothness and especially the throw of these pedals is excellent. And going fast for long periods of time is wayyyyyy easier than the DW 9002s. IMO these are the best pedals in the world for what I've always looked for in a pedal. It is the smoothest fastest and most powerful pedal I've ever used. Plus adjustments, breakdown into case after a show, all of it is so convenient compared to the DW where u had to take off the beaters, plus my dw's kept having certain parts break and had to send it in to DW to fix about 3 times. These haven't failed me yet.

    Had the older version for about 8 years or so, I loved how they played but there was a bit of wear and tear after a while so I went to DW-9000's. After about a year I decided I needed a change so I went back to the Speed Cobras. I played one show with them, I made very minimal adjustments beforehand and it felt like going home. The new version is super smooth. The DW's have power going for them, sure, but I was never able to find that *sweet spot*, they always felt a bit too heavy. And it's not so much about wanting to play faster necessarily, although the Speed Cobras help with that, they are so comfortable, when you are playing 2 or 3+ hour sets live, it's nice to have equipment that won't add to muscle strain and fatigue.

    I have the 310 dbl. version. Compared to the lower level pedals I was using it felt almost uncontrollably fast at first! Now that Im used to it it feels like an extension of my foot. Love the long footboard too with my size 13s.

    dang, now i want one, but i cannot justify upgrading from my old ic dp, it is still rock solid, and kicking ass.

    • @larrytate1657
      @larrytate1657 8 лет назад +1

      Beat up your ic for a few more months and then get the sc. It's a different animal. The longer footboard and the angled cam gives you this leverage that makes playing kick heavy grooves easier imho,

    Would the speed cobra's be a better replacement from the DW 3000 double bass pedals? I want to trade mine for the speedcobra, but my dw 3000 sounds loud and i been using them for over 8 years, someone help me which sounds better?

    I believe they Should of Extend the width of the Iron Cobra 600 series too. Its a great pedal to use but the width is kinda small so when playing double bass, my shoes seem to get caught on the sides and I can't play comfortably.

    Question- is it quiet so as to use in recording?

  • @rodrigoaguirre4945
    @rodrigoaguirre4945 7 лет назад +1

    QUESTION! Using the double pedal as single, is the same thing if i'd bought the single version instead? Because I want to play in a metal band and maybe then in a rock band as well where I'd not need the double pedal, so should I buy just the double and use it both ways or do I have to get the single version beacause it's different idk. TY

    • @elalbert9480

      You can buy the double one and use for both bands. Put the double configuration for the metal one and single for the rock one, anyway is the same thing bro. :)
