This is a great video, good tips although $3k is more income than a-lot of people are making from 9-5 job. Especially depending on where you live like major cities. Thank you for the great tips, I definitely agree on the discipline yourself to build a better relationship with your finance.
I started out micromanaging every little expense but then quickly realized that it wasn't going to work for me. I have problems with keeping things in order and short-term memory loss, so I have to keep things fairly simple in my life and stuffing 8 to 10 binders was not going to work. So, I'm down to 3 binders and it's working out much better.
Great video and awesome tips! People, she did say 3k ($36k/yr) and that is a lot to bring home for most people, I only bring home $2200-$2300/mo and I live VERY comfortable with my daughter. I live Northeast Ohio so my COL is really low compared to most places but it all depends on where you live and how much you bring home. Use the tips she gave and make it fit your income.
Thank you! 💕 yea I don’t understand why everyone’s worried about the 3k so much lol it wasn’t even what the video was about, simply just an example. The point of the video was to use the tips, & learn how to budget better, but everyone seemed to get caught up on the 3k lol 🤷🏽♀️
I wish this was the reality for so many people! I make 54k a year as a new grad so I’m still paying off student loans but live at home so I don’t have rent or anything else. By the time taxes come out I still struggle 🥺 maybe it’s just me learning how to budget more effectively! Can’t wait to learn- I want to start saving now so my family will be comfortable in the future!
@@caitlinnicole7575 I make roughly 30k after tax, live on my own with a car, rent, all my own bills, and two cats. I wouldn't qualify for public healthcare if I tried, so that's after taxes and insurance is taken out. You absolutely could save thousands of dollars living at home without rent on 54k a year. I've been being dumb and blowing my money, but when I made a budget I realized with one overtime shift a month I could save 1k every month. And that's with going to 4 yoga classes a week, and paying for outpatient therapy out of pocket. I say go for it, I bet you could set yourself up for so much success!

Hi Cierra, thank you for taking the time to explain the cash envelope system. I’m brand new at it. I started July of this year. You are so right about self control that’s something I’m still working on myself. Thanks again❤
Yes a lot of binder’s would give me anxiety. This year I was doing good but life happened I had to take all my cash out from my envelopes sooo sad but I am looking toward to new year and new start 😊

I hit the ground running and bought all these binders, only to realize that the cash ain’t cashing lol. I only work a part time job so my income is around 1,900 maybe 2k on a good month but being smart with your money is all that matters. ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for this video
Yes couple of binders will work for me. I don’t want myself to have a burnout on cash budgeting. Nice video of breaking down the budgeting steps. 🎉🙌🏼🙏🏼👍🏼
When starting off, you only need 1 to 2 binders. Switch the binders if you get bored. The money do add up fast with 1 or 2 binders. I only have 2, A challenge binder which I use for savings. And a long term binder. And at the end of the year I have thousands to take to the bank.
Just catching up. Love the video I just started a month ago and I am rethinking of taking out some categories. Wish I saw this video a month ago. Can't wait to see more.💚
For someone who never has cash on me . Should I put all my earnings into one account . But take it out n pay bills with it. I want to take out cash n have cash to put in book

You can stuff your whole paycheck if that works for you but a lot of people have their bills on auto pay so it’s kind of pointless. I just stuff what I have left after bills are taken care of but whatever works best for you! 💕

All my bills are on auto pay so the money you see me stuffing is all towards savings so no, you would only re deposit if you are stuffing envelopes for bills which I don’t do bc to me it’s pointless to take the $ out and put it right back in lol 😊
