Sins aesthetic activates my neurons in just the right way where i have for the first time ever found the desire and motivation to actually lab out specific scenarios to get better at him and really learn this game. Like usually ill play fighting games by having my handful of super simple combos, at most ill practice by drilling myself on mission mode combos but won't go out of my way to further explore the game's depth. Sin is the first character that has me excited to take part in the full learning and growing process.
I wonder what tech for sin is gonna be found a week or two from now, people thought happy chaos kinda sucked at launch until they found out you can cancel focus shot into reload into focus shot...and we know how THAT turned out
I'm absolute noob who played a little bit of Strive on release, never really getting into any of the characters.. And then a few days ago I see the Sin trailer, immidiately get Season 2, and have been duking it out online. Not great resutsl, jumping between floors 6 and 7, but man he just is so much fun to play as. The looks, the feel, the sounds/voice - everything just works so well.

Sin is very beginner friendly. He got tricky to punish DP, good defense, really good super that can bonk half health bar from 1 confirm. Def great chara to play.
To anyone who actually cares about what a gear is, here's more or less what we know: gears are, more or less, bioengineered super beings, created with magic. It was a project worked on by sol, That Guy, and the lady who will be justice. Sol is a proto gear, and, justice is a control gear, is I believe it's name. Basically, they can control all the other gears. Long and short of it, the gears, because of justice being pissed, cause more or less the second apocalypse after justice blows up Japan with ease. And that's basically what we know
Sin is probably the best character they've released so far. He feels different from Xrd but in a good way. He has great combo set ups and follow ups. He's also crazy fast. He's definitely going to keep me busy for a few months at least
@@yami-kay9099 I've tried Bridget as well but couldn't really get into the grove of using him. The yo yos are fun but the the whole move list is boring compared to other characters.
I'm incredibly happy Sin is back, one of my favorite characters to play. Now I finally have a main that I'm satisfied with lol. Also managed to get a match where the guy I was fighting and I just spammed the food button the whole time, good times.
Ya know I kinda love the fact that guilty gear is so weird I mean other fighting games are like “I have a sword or some guns or some mystical power”but not guilty gear na here we got flags,coffins, hell even aquatic mammals
I love games where characters just have weird shit as weapons. Skullgirls is another one with great stuff. Peacock's entire arsenal could be spread out into at least 5 different characters
We have a small child with a whole ass ship anchor, a witch lady with a guitar, weaponized hair, a green ghost dog, a massive scalpel, the list goes on and I love it.

Everytime I switch from playing plus r to strive or vice versa, it takes me a solid few practice matches to remember the gameplay differences and character move sets despite maiming the same character
Sin made me pick up the game again, only to revert back to my Leo ways xD. I generally always keep the current street fighter and the current KOF installed on my laptop and now guilty gear is going to get the same treatement. I haven't touched the game since gold lewis mind you so i really did miss out on a lot!

Yeah I felt that way for a little bit, but there's always a more optimal combo, better reads, roman cancel usage and counter play to learn. Really you don't need to grind something in training mode or something insane like that, you just need to keep playing the game, and if all else fails, you can change characters. I had a really hard time first starting out as May, but then I switched to Baiken and she just clicked better. Idk if it's the same for you, but I used to get really annoyed at losing, which would just make me lose harder. You can't let losing get to you, and you can use those losses as something to learn from when dealing with a certain playstyle or character.
Max hasn't played thsi game for 8months has he said in stream and he picks a character that just released and goes even or easily beats level 700 players. Wtf, sometimes I feel like we don't talk enough about how good Max is at fighting games.
I hope we get a Mod that removes the flag from the Pole. Gameplay wise i really like him but i need to get used to not having a Projectile after playing only Ky and Testamen^^
If I ever fought a chipp I swear I would get motion sick like I couldn't tell what was happening sometimes lol. Out of all the videos on this game I swear this is only the second potenken that utilized the flamethrower knuckles they're so good yet most haven't used them. Wow it's been eons since a ramlethal actually gave max problems and didn't overly rely on the big swords making max say "I miss leo" lol
Nothing about this character screams "I NEED TO PLAY THIS CHARACTER" to me. I'm genuinely asking someone who likes the character. What's the appeal? I'm not trying to start a debate or argument. I sincerely just want to know.
I play him because hes a cool charater imo his combos look cool and he has arguably the best supers in the game he does need buffs really bad rn since hes pretty much considered to be the worst character by the entire community
The reason being how they’re trying to recreate 2D anime art style in Xrd and strive with 3D graphics. With 2D fighters, they simply flip the sprite work, so what they do here is flop the model. It actually requires work as usually, that’s not how 3D games are made, so it’s done intentionally. Hence why Baiken has her amputated arm on the same side no matter what as well

I have no qualms visually, but it feels weird to see an entire mirror match play out with neither Sin eating a single time. I feel like the Strive version of some characters just kinda missed the point. Being scared of Ram in Strive is like being scared of Belmonts in Smash, after the first weak you figure out how to beat them lol
How rude of the developers to have it exclusively for PS5 and not for the One series. Due to the fact guilty gear was once part of both game companies at a time. Dang shame.

Am I the only one that hates the combo counter and "COUNTER" splashes that come up on screen in this game? They're so obnoxious. If a combo gets high enough it takes up a good third of the entire screen. I really feel like it takes away so much of how great the game looks otherwise. Less is more imo.
Guilty gear has always been the over the top presentation game. I think it’s okay because of how interactions work. Like how it slows down for a few frames so each player can really take in what just happened.

Slight correction: Justice was a command-type gear, and so is Dizzy, being her daughter. Dizzy elects to not use that part of her abilities.

Sin is like 3 steps away from be Guilty Gear's Rock Howard. He's got RTL and Tyrant Rave in his arsenal.

Dustloop is the site where all the Guilty Gear info/tech is. A rekka is a special move with multiple hits that requires multiple inputs to perform.
